you might friend have been scammed. The original screen (from warthog project) was the SimPit Avenger PRO with the real ambient light rejection surface made here in NZ. That's why your image looks so washed out and why you have the band in the middle (the paints are scam). If you have bought the original product you would have had better product for far less ;-). Nice cockpit!

The modularity is exactly the inspiration I needed for my sim pit. I want an f-16 pit but need to compromise because I also need an IFR trainer to keep my skills sharp IRL, so this would solve a lot of that!

I''m actually planning to start an OpenHornet cockpit build as soon as I finish assembling my CNC machine. Idea is to make it even more modular while still allowing me to slowly progress with (nearly) 1:1 Hornet cockpit build. Interesting to see what comes of that project.

I had a setup like this about 14 years ago with the 180 degree curved projection screen, it was awesome. Now though it's VR all the way... just for practical purposes. Can't beat it!

That's fantastic. Great job. I designed and built my own helicopter controls for use in VR.
They're pretty basic and shagnasty, but they're clever and they work. I enjoyed working out how to do it.
Your setup is excellent. Well done
