Yeah I had that a tr8 pro and was using it with a moza 16 before moving to simagic alpha ulti which is still less powerful than a simu pro and that's when I noticed the flex enough to warrant having to change. The tr8 is a great rig for space though

I highly recommend bass shakers when it comes to being able to feel things happening in game through your rig. Being able to feel the engine vibrate with its RPMs as well as feeling the actual thud of a bump has been a game changer
Butt kicker was one of the best upgrades I’ve made. You definitely miss it when it’s not turned on and like you said adds an extra layer of immersion. I’ve tried $10k+ motion kits and I’d say bass shakers are well worth the price in comparison.
I put a kicker 10" subwoofer in small box under the seat with 300w amp! Shakes and vibrates the hell out of everything! The TRX Frame has room for sub under the seat!
This - absolute gamechanger in terms of immersion. It's just important to mount it in a place where the vibrations transfer properly to the seat instead of the frame as that makes a huge difference.
Just a bit of advice: (I'm not a sim racing pro, but I've been sim racing for quite some time and written a few articles and product reviews.) I really urge you to make your view stop moving around as you turn. It'll mess up your cornering by artificially messing with your view instead of moving your eyes and head by yourself. Long time subscriber btw and I look forward to more sim racing videos! About time you showed us your sim rig that you kept teasing the past few videos 😂
Triple screen users: this is so immersive and there is so much FOV! VR users: look at what they need just to mimic a fraction of our power. Sick rig tho, GJ!
Peripheral FOV when ur head is mostly facing the same way is probably wider with this setup than most VR goggles that feels like looking outa Scooba mask
@@pogito3113 ya gotta agree after seeing his latest video. Static fov is pretty much the only thing better w the screens and depth completely changes the experienxe
I used to do work with an audio engineer who was also a retired military pilot. He had a flight sim cockpit built with 4 screens (3 wide, 1 above). The stick/main flight controls/rudders were top of the line. He had control panels and docks that he bought with a friend of his that were stripped from actual airplane cockpits and wired into Raspberry Pis to take the analog signals and convert them to generic signals that he matched to keybinds for his flight sims. All of this plus a custom CNCed aluminum frame which everything mounted to. The computer it was strapped to was a $2000+ at least. I asked him how much it costs and he would say "more than you think, but doesn't matter". Enjoy the rabbit hole, Ali
Dirt Rally 2.0 is the most fun I have ever had sim racing. I've played Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Forza Horizon 5, Euro Truck Simulator 2... But Dirt Rally 2.0 with a round wheel is just something else. I highly recommend it! And welcome to sim racing! 🎉
This guy is the best content creator on UA-cam. I'm 48, and when I grow up, I wanna be like this guy. All things gaming in one place. Keep up the great content!!!
I'm so tempted to upgrade my quest 2 to big screen beyond, but I want to wait a generation, and eye tracking is integrated and not a mod for phoveated rendering
I can only comment for flight simmers, but having flown both with monitors an with a VR headset, the stereoscopic vision you get is insane in stuff like aerial refueling or formation flight. But I don't suffer anymore from motion sickness and I learned all my HOTAS switches.
This is awesome to see! I just started my sim racing journey in December. Definitely went in with very similar goals but without a studio to stick it in and
VR/cockpit games are arguably still the best use of VR. For racing in particular there's massive benefits: The added depth perception is huge in judging braking distances and speed for example that make the care much more natural/real to drive. And wearing the VR headset blends in transparently as it feels the same as wearing a racing helmet from a weight and FOV standpoint. That plus a good surround setup to where you can hear which tires are screeching/losing traction etc. will play so much into your natural trained senses that you use and are practiced through years of real car driving that you'll understand why the rabbit hole goes deep, you don't realize how much primal feel goes into driving on a sensory level. It's something your brain is already trained on and attuned to, so it's something everyone can appreciate once they experience it.
I'm still to start my sim journey. I read a lot that VR is an amazing experience, but some people can't do it for long, and others comment that their driving is less consistent with VR than with screens.
@@Cloxxki VR in sim games are crazy immersive. but yes, some ppl dont have the "VR legs" to for long play times, some (like me) can do it for hours without issues, and some just get more use to it over time. I have also heard about the less consistent thing, but I have never actually met anyone with this issue. I feel its so much easier to "sense" the braking point in a 3d environment than on tripples, and actually overall sense of the track and other cars. Im not saying they are lying, but I think they are lying 😆 going back to flats is never going to happen.
First off, I'm jealous. however i have some recommendations for you the way you have neck fx set up is making me feel seasick just as a spectator, i personally only use neck fx for drifting in cockpit view, with it only really reacting to steering wheel input. no looking to apex and minimal headbobbing. i know for a fact you generally look for an optimized competitive experience atleast in fps games, so i really recommend you use the two extra monitors you have and turn your own head instead lmao if you want the incentive to get faster with an elo-carrot on a stick in front of you i recommend either ac or acc with simgrid and/or lfm (both services are free) and iracing (be careful with iracing or you will spend way too much on dlc.) hope you'll have a lot of fun with simracing and dont get discouraged by the fact that youre not as fast as max verstappen after just one week! a surprising amount of people cant take the hit to the ego and just quit when they cant keep up with the front pack. there's a lot of videos on youtube to help you realize where youre making mistakes. lastly i wanna recommend getting a round steering wheel of sorts, its the most universal wheel type you can have :)
I remember when I said that I wasn't going to do iRacing and race others online... I will just say that people talk about the cost of racing in VR (I race exclusively in VR), but they act like a triple monitor setup is free. Sure you don't need 3 240Hz panels, but name 3 monitors that cost less than a Quest 3 that aren't garbage. There are some fun projects you can do with Simhub. Everyone focuses on the DDU and overlays, but haptics, wind (yes, I'm serious) and controller mapping for swapping out wheels are all great features.
If you've spent this much on a rig, you'd be doing yourself a monstrous disservice /not/ giving iRacing a go. There's an entry level couple of racing series (MX-5 cup) and it's worth pushing to get through those (keep your racing clean and don't wipe out on other novices trying to play it like other arcadey racing sims) you'll still have a wildly good time.
I am 100% here for your sim racing journey. Literally just plugged in my first direct drive system two hours before seeing this video. Love how you presented all the info in here too, there’s so much room for different angles on sim content ⚡️🥂⚡️
Sim rig ergonomics -- seating position, wheel position, pedal distance/angle, etc. -- is obviously preferential and depends on whatever feels comfortable, but if you ever feel discomfort or want extra insight on what can be improved in terms of ergonomics, I recommend a video from racing driver Daniel Morad. He gives good advice on what to do/avoid to prevent strain/stress on your body. Video title is "PRO GT DRIVER REVEALS THE BEST SEATING POSITION FOR SIM RACING". He explains it from a GT car seating position standpoint though, so be aware that the advice might differ (I'm no expert so idk) if you want your sim rig to be like an open-wheeler style.
Cool to see you getting into the sim racing. Your ergonomics are a bit off. For instance, your steering wheel angle is completely off and you’re lifting your heel off the plate when you hit the brakes. If you need any help, let me know.
As a simracer, seeing my favourite PC/peripheral content creator finally enter the hobby has made my day. Can't wait to see how far you go with this. 💪
I have a racing simulator as well, but the main difference is that I built everything myself. From the wheel base and wheel to the hydraulic pedals, the cockpit, monitor mounts, and even the PC it's all custom. It’s just as stylish as yours, though I prioritized functionality first and aesthetics second. During the build, it definitely looked like a disaster, but after getting everything powder-coated and anodized in gunmetal and black, and spending weeks perfecting the details, I’m really happy with the final result. Once everything was complete, I added up the costs for materials, tools, hardware, and everything else. In total, I spent about $30,000 on the rig. The upside? I saved around $10,000 compared to buying a pre-made setup. Doing the Upcoming holydays i will be adding DOF 4 motion to my simulator and who knows maybe down the road an FFBeast 15Nm Force feedback Flight stick.
Please adjust the setting so the the car will not rotate on your monitor, (like look at apex, etc). It should stay at the center of your screen with no play. But this simulator is amazing, respect.
You could've saved a lot of money by just getting a VR headset and having a way more immersive experience. I can't play sim racing games on monitors anymore, it just feels so... 2D :D . Just upgraded my Oculus Rift S to Quest 3, highly recommend.
Insane racing simulator, indeed! We think those insane pedals would just be the icing on the cake 😏 Btw you can remove the yellow warning sticker on the Simucube 2 Pro. Very aesthetic rig! 🔥
I used to say I was way far off from racing against live people. What you have to understand is how quick the learning is when you are racing with other people. You'd be surprised how quickly you reach a level of feeling confident going wheel to wheel. Your lap times will improve far quicker when you HAVE to be fast. Also with the VNM pedals, I recommend going to a higher stiffness. Those really flexible polyurethane load cells squish really easily and some have said they have a tendency to bulge to much to the point they tear or explode. I'd recommend bumping it up to like the yellow load cell and also play around with all the different stiffness. I have the same pedals, and also have a clutch, the clutch addition is really nice and the additional dampers you can purchase, and a nice bit of resistance as well.
Loved sim racing as a kid and got back into it with Moza R9, almost any of the DD stuff you really can’t go wrong with. Be sure to check out No Hesi (traffic driving sim based on Tokyo highways) as it is super fun and a nice break from the track: Content manager, mods like Pure (graphics upscale), Sol (more dynamic weather and combined with pure is insanity). VR is extremely fun but can be a bit of a headache to setup sometimes! Loved the video and super excited for some sim content too!
VR is a game changer. The only thing you have to worry about is the fov you get. With triples you get decent peripheral vision, with VR it can be tricky or not so tricky depending on the headset you get.
I couldn’t get over not seeing my steering wheel and buttons and phone and food and everything else in the real world when I had VR on. Also I only had a quest 2 so the resolution was not great.
Anything less than three custom made 65 inch 1000r Curvature standard 16:9 Monitor with at least 4k resolution for your racing simulator is nothing more than a peasant build. You sir have accomplished the ultimate peasant racing sim build, congrats!
Can someone explain why you wouldn’t just get a headset vs a triple ultra wide monitor? Surely it be cheaper, more immersive, easier to setup, easier to run, and probably a dozen other advantages.
@@FrankOnline007 A VR headset is just not very comfortable in the end. It gets hot, it's annoying to remove and put on if you have pets or kids to take care of etc. But yeah, triple ultrawides are just pure overkill for most people. Just regular triples will get you a very good experience at a modest price point.
Welcome to the dark side! Sim racing is a bottomless pit, and great for keeping you sharp on track. The TR8 is a great cockpit. There's a little bit of flex, especially with something as strong as the Simucube, but it looks awesome and it's extremely usable.
Congrats man, really nice setup. I am glad to see that more people are investing in Sim Racing. Just one thing.. As you can seem, the mirrors take the whole screen. The image is looks warped. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think it should not be like that. AC has APP called triple screen where you can eliminate that warped effect. It at least helped me to fix that same issue on G9 Neo.
Please try VR next! The Pimax Crystal as mentioned is great but I also highly rate the Bigscreen Beyond. It's like a 1/5th of the Pimax's weight and size and retains the same resolution and OLED colours. As a PC gaming and VR enthusiast I would love to hear what you think.
If it wasn't for the fact that I can't play VR anymore due to health, I would be super excited for the PiMax 12K that was supposed to release last year.
@@technologicalelite8076 nothing to be excited about - same heavy, bulky and useless qualcomm + battery combo, but sharpness beyond any video-card can handle (they are making a good progress with quad-views foveated rendering, for games that do support it). Next BigscreenVR and Valve headsets will eat Pimax for breakfast.
If you plan on growing in this hobby, I highly suggest to get an 8020 aluminum extrusion rig vs a tubular. The issue is you’ll find that adding additions to this is gonna be much harder. Also, i get you like you can move the wheel but unless a LOT of people are using your rig, once you set it, you really aren’t going to change so that feature is pretty useless. You could always just add a pedal slider or seat slider if needs if you want to adjust things on the go. The position of the wheel is absolutely terrible. The angle is all wrong, ideally you’ll want the wheel to come from under the screen. Just a few tips.
Sim fanatic here, i suggest getting 2 pedal shakers if you are kinda going all out. they are not that expensive and for a set of two shouldn't coat more than 150/200 usd. They add so much feedback and help make it feel much more alike to real life racing. Sim3D has a set for 95 pounds(like 120/130 usd iirc), it includes 2 rumblers a control box and mounting. And they also sell seat rumblers. So if you see this, definitely consider rumblers.

@@PainInTheAss33 This is a sim racing video, my man...DD wheel and pedals are useless for FPS games, as well. Those aren't immersive sims, either. But sure, for general gaming VR isn't of much use.
You aren't really missing anything not having a motion rig. Motion rigs are extremely flawed when it comes to recreating realistic forces, and as somebody who has many years of experience of competitive driving in real cars, I find them to be immersion-breaking as a result. RandomCallsign has a good video explaining the flaws.
one thing that might help you with feeling the ground/car is a bass shaker setup, you can take however many you want and money wise its a really good alternative to an actual motion sim.
Man this is insane, I use one of these LG monitors for my setup and it’s fantastic, can’t imagine what it’s like to use 3! One thing I’d recommend is adjusting your FOV
I'm pretty deep down the sim racing rabbit hole now, whilst it's true that it can be eye-wateringly expensive, I've found it all to be good value because I use it frequently and I get so much enjoyment from it. Also most people's equipment evolves slowly over time. If you tell someone you have a $15'000 pretend car in your house they think you are mental, but you spread that out over several years it's not so bad & when people try it out for the first time they are amazed that such a thing even exists. You don't need all the bells and whistles to have a lot of fun. A good direct drive wheel, pedals & a place to put them is all you need to be fast and have fun. Bass shakers, motion platforms, belt tensioners, VR, etc adds immersion, but I've got years of great memories staying up late with pals trying to beat each other's lap times, or racing online with basic equipment. It's getting more popular now and there is so much more competition in the "starter" kit category.
When taking a sharp turn accelerating helps you turn without steering to much. Used the acceleration to help you turn faster without turning the steering wheel to much
Quite an amazing rig! Finally got a similar setup myself, though I didn't go as beefy on the monitors. (Triple LG ultragear 32" 1440p) .. TR120, Simucube 2 Pro, VNM Lite pedals, 4090 PC. Went with integrated monitor mount so motion will be more immersive. I'm in no rush for that upgrade though, as a good 3DOF setup will cost nearly as much as the rest of the rig. Bass shakers will come first, and maybe wind + seatbelt tensioner.
Awesome setup! I have a triple screen setup aswell (not as fancy as this one though), I would really recommend the bezel free kit from asus to make it even more immersive. Also, just a few tips on terms of your driving. Try to slowly ease off the brake the further you get into the corner, around the apex (middle of the corner) you want to start slowly easing the accelerator. From the footage it seems like you try to give it full burst immediately which will just make your rear snap away and costs you time. Welcome to simracing!! :D
God bless, this man is starting his sim racing arc with a better setup than me, i’ve been racing for years on a g290 and a normal gaming chair… god help me!
Yea, it's madly expensive if you went all out, especially for the 1st time. But gears in simracing last way longer, a good aluminum rig can last forever. I bought the SC2 ultimate 5 years ago when they released it, and it's still the best wheel base to date. Good brands like Simucube, Pro-sim, PSE, Ascher tend to overbuild their stuffs, so all the update is mainly on the software side. I'm sure that the SC active pedals you mentioned will still be at the top in 5 years as well.
8:23 Go for it mate, iRacing is crazy fun in my opinion. I had the same thoughts as you, but I got a 3 month subscription for free when I bought my fanatec wheel, so I said: "why not", and I barely played any other racing game since. Don't worry I promise you in rookie class everyone is gonna be worse than you, and when you get out of rookies it will introduce you to iRating which means it will get you in races with people in your level.
couple things to note. 1 haptic motors from simagic for the pedals are a game changer. 2 your wheel does not look like its outputting much force feedback you probably need to spend a little more time tuning it because I'm almost 100% sure something is missing there. 3. next upgrade should definitely be a buttkicker gamer pro after number 1. 4 welcome to our crazy world!
I'm interested in that 45" LG as an all rounder monitor, but for triples I think I'd opt for 43"-48: 16:9 OLEDS. Rig up a bezel less kit. Would leave you about the same amount of room around cockpit. Looks cool though
pro tip: make sure it stays fun. It's easy to get wrapped up in realism and playing online and constantly improving. It can be fun, but also can be not fun. When it gets not fun, download some mad drifting mods or play some wreckfest
I recommend adding actuators to your pedals and buttkicker to get more abs and traction feedback from pedals, and more feedback from all 4 wheels through the buttkickers
Welcome to the club, an 8020 rig is definitely the way to go but yeah you can't expect to get everything right the first time around :) Definitely look into getting some transducers or buttkickers set up, it really makes things come alive. I use VR myself but that monitor setup is sick! Sim racing used to be a pretty cost effective hobby but it's gone a bit overboard in recent times, you can still get a good experience on a budget though if you do your research.
Thank you for not doing the usual aluminum profile frame with Fanatec or Moza DD equipment. Your rig is insane and has your stamp on it. My skill level isn't good enough to build something like this, but I just ordered the Art rig and the Rs9 seat from GT Omega. If my laptimes get better with that then I'll look to build. Thanks again for sharing.
As someone who spent about a year not playing online because "theres no way I'm ready for that".... I would 100% recommend joining some beginner leagues on discord or just playing casual multiplayer. That is where the actual exhilaration of sim racing comes in.
I’m loving the setup. Looks like all good choices. The only gripe i have is with your game settings. Having the head movement setting on makes it look weird as the car is floating all over while your wheel and rig are stationary.
Amazing. As you say, the only thing missing is G-simulation. A relatively simple, short-throw lateral system in the seat to let you feel the 'snap' into oversteer would be cool.
First time watcher, nice video. I'm a Sim racer myself well down the rabbit hole now. Clean setup. I personally would have gone a different direction with the rig for future expandability but I'm sure you'll learn on your own journey. Enjoy. :)
Gran Turismo 7 VR on the PSVR2 with a wheel is the most immerive sim racing setup I've experienced. Everthing is just so optimized for VR in GT7 and it has really good haptics.

I really urge you to make your view stop moving around as you turn. It'll mess up your cornering by artificially messing with your view instead of moving your eyes and head by yourself.
Long time subscriber btw and I look forward to more sim racing videos! About time you showed us your sim rig that you kept teasing the past few videos 😂
omg when I noticed that...
Yeah, it's very useful when you're playing on one monitor but on this setup it's completely unnecessary.
Yeah, this.
Yep that is messing everything and also very hard to watch even the video.
Thanks! It was fixed to start with but then I was playing around with NeckFX. Might just revert it 😅
Triple screen users: this is so immersive and there is so much FOV!
VR users: look at what they need just to mimic a fraction of our power.
Sick rig tho, GJ!
Peripheral FOV when ur head is mostly facing the same way is probably wider with this setup than most VR goggles that feels like looking outa Scooba mask
@@rawrbrz nope. This just can't match the sim immersion pf vr

Thing about VR is that the resolution still kind of sucks. The PPI even on the highest end stuff is piss compared to monitors.

Nothing compares to VR for me. Being able to lean and look around the a-pillar in a rally car is as realistic as it gets from a visual standpoint.
Which headset and game/program would you recommend?
@@thenamelessone123 steam VR, OPENVR.
I think the big screen vr or quest 3
I'm so tempted to upgrade my quest 2 to big screen beyond, but I want to wait a generation, and eye tracking is integrated and not a mod for phoveated rendering
Yeah, after experiencing that there's no point having screens for racing. However I don't have any adverse effects from VR
Definitely went in with very similar goals but without a studio to stick it in and
ali starting his verstappen arc- hope you won't retire this season ali 🔥
Im not saying they are lying, but I think they are lying 😆

First off, I'm jealous. however i have some recommendations for you
the way you have neck fx set up is making me feel seasick just as a spectator, i personally only use neck fx for drifting in cockpit view, with it only really reacting to steering wheel input. no looking to apex and minimal headbobbing. i know for a fact you generally look for an optimized competitive experience atleast in fps games, so i really recommend you use the two extra monitors you have and turn your own head instead lmao
if you want the incentive to get faster with an elo-carrot on a stick in front of you i recommend either ac or acc with simgrid and/or lfm (both services are free) and iracing (be careful with iracing or you will spend way too much on dlc.)
hope you'll have a lot of fun with simracing and dont get discouraged by the fact that youre not as fast as max verstappen after just one week! a surprising amount of people cant take the hit to the ego and just quit when they cant keep up with the front pack. there's a lot of videos on youtube to help you realize where youre making mistakes.
lastly i wanna recommend getting a round steering wheel of sorts, its the most universal wheel type you can have :)
Having something like this is a waist of money if you don't do Iracing.
Dude you own a Suzuki jimny?! It's not right that one person can be this cool. I don't even understand how it's possible to Chad this hard.
We think those insane pedals would just be the icing on the cake 😏
Btw you can remove the yellow warning sticker on the Simucube 2 Pro.

@@FrankOnline007 A VR headset is just not very comfortable in the end. Hey man! Glad to see you're doing well and able to spring for some cool stuff you want. Your content is great and I'm glad to see you successful.

4:30 57" UW has almost the same vertical space a 16:9 45" has. There's less than half inch vertical size difference.

Awesome setup. Thanks for the video. I just bought 3 of the LG 45 to replace my triple 32 setup. Very excited
I love the look of the studio!
God bless, this man is starting his sim racing arc with a better setup than me, i’ve been racing for years on a g290 and a normal gaming chair… god help me!

God this guy is just too good, the production quality is so good
Why does the cockpit on the screen move around on the screen? Shouldnt it be locked to the center in front of the wheel? Makes the car look rubbery
I just built triple 65" LG C3 OLED's around an Alpine TRX from Track Racer with an ASUS 4090 GPU powering everything. Sweet rig, dude.
Half of this video is about building a sim racing rig and the other half is him flexing on us quite literally
I recommend adding actuators to your pedals and buttkicker to get more abs and traction feedback from pedals, and more feedback from all 4 wheels through the buttkickers
Welcome to the club, an 8020 rig is definitely the way to go but yeah you can't expect to get everything right the first time around :)
Definitely look into getting some transducers or buttkickers set up, it really makes things come alive.

I just got into sim racing with my 49 ultrawide and the basic Logitech wheel and petals. I am in love. This is the stuff I dream of.
I’m loving the setup. Looks like all good choices. The only gripe i have is with your game settings. Having the head movement setting on makes it look weird as the car is floating all over while your wheel and rig are stationary.
Omg the gratification when Opti picks the same monitors as you to build his rig

Amazing. As you say, the only thing missing is G-simulation. A relatively simple, short-throw lateral system in the seat to let you feel the 'snap' into oversteer would be cool.
I built a very similar rig a few months back. One upgrade I'd reccomend is a buttkicker. Adds some great immersion for a few hundred bucks.
First time watcher, nice video. I'm a Sim racer myself well down the rabbit hole now. Clean setup. I personally would have gone a different direction with the rig for future expandability but I'm sure you'll learn on your own journey. Enjoy. :)
