Mahito's form in this episode was gained through an immense understanding of his own soul. In exchange for not being able to use Idle Transfiguration on most of his body(except his hands), he gained a massive boost in his physical and defensive abilities thanks to a binding vow. It's stated that this form is about 200 times tougher than his normal state. Yuji's hits that did so much damage before were suddenly having no impact on Mahito. It's stated in a little volume extra that if Yuji hadn't nailed Mahito with that last Black Flash, he would've been instantly torn to shreds. To me, one of the most interesting things about Mahito is how fast he grows. His potential. He's still essentially a child due to how young he is. Yet he managed to master Domain Expansion(something many sorcerers can never do), learned to transfigure himself more, found a counter to Simple Domain, used Black Flash, copied a very specific technique that GOJO of all people used on instinct by releasing his Domain for 0.2 seconds in order to counter Sukuna inside Yuji, told the King Of Curses to move aside, and discovered his true form thanks to realizing who he is. If he didn't have damage already accumulated in his soul or didn't have to worry about Sukuna being inside of Yuji, this wouldn't have even been a fight. Because he would've just used his more powerful soul techniques and just transfigured Yuji and then Todo. Mahito was the exact Curse that Sukuna said Jogo should've been. Someone who destroyed everything around him and lived only for himself and the torment of others. But in the end, Mahito's steps towards greatness were halted by a max power Black Flash straight to the soul. Centered on an unprotected part of his body. He managed to permanently cripple Todo and prevent him from using his technique ever again due to damaging his soul. And now, Geto has appeared before Mahito. Questioning if he will save him.
Jogo and Hanami did say Mahito would continue to get stronger and climb the ladder, reaching new heights. Think Gege also said transformed Mahito would have annihilated Yuji if he hadn't landed that last Black Flash. Edit: You already said my second sentence, damn.
fun fact: the cocoon hatchling imagery scene in the Opening and 7:45 serves as a metaphorical device for mahito's journey for his souls true essence. Metamorphosis is the process in which one organism undergoes some type of drastic transformation. I think it goes without saying why they chose this imagery to represent mahito's ascension into cursehood , but also the little details that MAPPA was employing really made the show that much better. right as todo gets hit with the black flash that same cocoon imagery shows up for like one frame. As we know black flash raises your understanding and aptitude for CE so including this little detail makes me appreciate the animators that much more cuz they really been putting out hit after hit
11:40 Mahito’s armor dropped because he was trying to bait Yuji into hitting that part since he reinforced it with all his cursed energy. And the time delay was just divergent fist, not a delayed black flash
The delayed hit comes from Yuji's bad habits when using cursed energy with Divergent Fist! Todo had told Yuji about it in their fight in S1 when talking about using cursed energy correctly, only this time Yuji did it intentionally to buy himself a window to line up the Black Flash!
which is very difficult like suppose u were failing while paddling bicycle then u mastered it without falling and now ur trying to do the falling intentionally
Seeing Mahito like that was so satisfying after everything. The fear in his eyes at the end yuji traumatized him. Deserves every bit of it. Anime of the Year in my Book❤❤
@@Lunaticluna19 I believe they're referring to the line where "Geto" comments, when it looks like there's the potential for Mahito to be defeated or brought close enough to death: "Depending on how this goes, this could be the moment I get..." If you're incredibly curious and cannot wait a week, you're looking for the last two pages of Chapter 133. 133, 134, and 135 should be animated next week. Have a lovely Thursday c:
This entire episode was amazing, when Todo infused cursed energy in the hanger and threw it at the transfigured human to switch places, that was clean. Also Todo imagining that idol girl Takada to help fight alongside him against Mahito was so hilarious and done perfectly. Even though Todo only appeared in like three episodes this season, he’s still one of the coolest and funniest characters.
The whole imagination thing was just in his head. Instead of all those hits, he just clapped Mahito's hand when he was rushed down. I love the whole segment and how the animators are adding extras.
11:05 the explanation was cut in the anime, but basically yujii can now control his divergent fist to hit whenever he wants rather than it being like before and hitting directly after the first . Now he can control when that 2nd hit affects the opponents
Ahhh, seeing Mahito fling random shit in a mad panic only to do nothing - love it 😂. Todo’s imagination wild af too. Yuji got caught in the middle of (deservedly) glazing himself up, now Pseudo Geto stepping in.
12:19 "Demons run, when a good man goes to war" What's satisfying to me is that for the first time, Mahito now truly understands what it is to fear for your own life. It wasn't Sukuna the king of curses or Gojo the world's strongest sorcerer that instilled that fear; it was Yuji. A sweet and kind kid who had a smile that people failed to protect and that why I think this Doctor Who quote best describes this scene
"Divergent fist was born out of itadori's bad habits . But he lost the technique as his manipulation of cursed energy improved (like how todo said and taught him). However , ever since the fight with choso , Yuji itadori has been able to control divergent fist" - from jjk manga its like u learned how ride a bicycle but now by using divergent ur trying to learn the way how u tried to learn bicycle before mastering it
That delayed impact (divergent fist) was Yuji go to in season one. If you remember he would use it a lot after his little training arc with Gojo, and when he used it on Todo. Todo told him that this delayed impact was holding him back so he stopped using it, but Yuji used it against Mahito to surprise him and hit the final black flash.
Todo told him it was a bad habit because he wasn’t doing it on purpose. I think I heard somewhere that purposely delaying the cursed energy impact is very hard to do. So I think yuji has gotten a lot better at controlling his cursed energy so he is able to do it on purpose now.
If you were learning to use a bicycle and was falling off unintentionally while paddling...then you mastered it and dont fall off ...It would be much harder for you to intentionally fall while paddling again right? its like that He couldnt control CE so it lagged behind but now he made the CE intentionally slow or to lag which is much harder @@matthewsmith6084
14:00 I would say "Its okay bro sh sh sh, close your eyes and take a deep breathe" then I would proceed to give him the blackest of flashes right to the jaw!
The fact that Todo keeps a locket always around his neck. Containing a picture of the woman he loves, an idol who doesn’t even know him. Alongside Itadori, a guy he only just met a few months ago and calls him his brother. This man’s schizophrenia is plus ultra.
10:57 The delayed hit was Yuji’s 1st technique: “Divergent Fist” which was explained as “bad form” from him not knowing how to control cursed energy, so he hadn’t done it for a while. I guess he found a new use for it.
The delayed punched wasn’t a black flash, it’s just Yuji’s technique, in the start of the show they mentioned Yuji’s punches are two impacts, the first impact and then the second impact so that’s why he said “Time lag”
The way they animated this episode was 🔥. I hope the animators will have a nice relax peaceful holidays. Knowing the fact that they still have to animate the Dark trio of shonen, One punchman and Vinland saga. When you compared it to games thats a total of 5 triple A games 😅
2 things. 1.) in the manga, Itadori doesn't even really get to Mahito. He's walking towards him as Pseudo-Geto walks up. 2.) Pseudo-Geto has been waiting the entire time. You will see why next episode, but he had already left the basement by the time TODO got there, and has been watching and such for this moment.
10:58 - In the manga, it explained that Yuji lost Divergent Fist because it was a technique made from his bad habit of controlling cursed energy until Todo helped Yuji refine his control and unlock Black Flash. But during his fight with Choso, Yuji managed to reclaim Divergent Fist and is now able to control it at will, which is what happened when he threw Mahito off-balance with the time-lag blow. They could've fit that narrative clarification in the scene just like in the manga, but that's what happened for those who are lost over that moment.

Mahito (Baki VA) had better get nominated for best Japanese VA this upcoming anime awards man. Bro's been ON IT
And I cant believe he voices kazuha from genshin who is the calmest person on earth lmao
A few episodes ago I'd say it was a contest between Mahito and Yuji, but now I wholeheartedly believe Mahtio deserves VA of the year. He is absolutely incredible, I cannot think of a single character from any anime this year that even comes close to him. I'm glazing like crazy but I normally don't even care about shit like best VA of the year which is why even I'm surprised at how vehemently I need this to happen.

that "time lag" got explained a lot better in the manga. it was the "divergent fist" from season 1 if you remember, where yuuji has a delayed impact, almost having 2 attacks with a lag of cursed energy.
They forgot but I remembered and I like how they didn’t spoon feed that info
It got explained last season. You don't need to hear something a million times. I know manga/anime like to do that, but it's the one thing I'd wish would go away. I don't like being treated like I'm too dumb to remember stuff.
@@kingcaesar3693 true true, it was honestly a good adaptation but for a reaction channel like this where they watch a billion shows theyre bound to forget so they were probably a bit confused thats all i was trying to say
@@kingcaesar3693 It was also implied that Yuji was using it against Choso. At one point, Choso remarks on feeling a double hit from one of Yuji's punches.
but most people dont even get it after they explained....I have seen many people still getting what happened when gojo did the 0.2 second thing So yes u need to spoon feed@@kingcaesar3693
For 0.2 seconds, Aoi Todo found the true essence of his soul. A fucking stand
Yuji and Getou both lost people one after the other but this is where they differ. Getou seeks an immediate solution to his pain while Yuji just thinks he's a cog that will serve his purpose, and whether it's good or bad, in due time his work will have meaning.
Who's Geto
To be fair their losses are kind of different. Geto lost (and pretty brutally) to the people he was always sure he was supposed to be protecting, ordinary people. Him seeing how they blamed the sisters and treated them over a problem that they we’re creating just radicalized him.
@@ewill69he's obviously calling him Geto as the anime hasn't revealed who he really is just so people reading this comment including Roshi who haven't read the manga don't get spoiled

@@fanuelnduna8191 who's Roshi
@@YaBoySihleI think the original comment is about Geto, not "Geto" (fake Geto).
15:03 Really, all that chasing is completely original to the anime. In the manga, Mahito just runs away and Geto appears. Of course, Yuji takes it very easy to chase him.
Okay sheera saying "clap them cheeks" 6:23 had me hollering LMFAO
Not gonna lie, those faces y'all made at 14:46 had me dying of laughter XD
This cliffhanger is the same as the manga and it is JUST as brutal. Gege Akutami just does not care about our feelings AT ALL.. AND THEN cuts us off at the WORST ( *best* ) MOMENTS POSSIBLE!! Gege when I catch you Gege...
Gege when I catch you Gege...Gege when I catch you Gege...
That Todo's sequence was his less schizophrenic moment 💀. BTW: 6:45, that's the cover for Volume 5 of the manga. Nice addition from Mappa.
🤓
Funny i seen this exact same comment word for word on other reaction videos
Bro had this ready in his notes 💀
200%, not times, so he is actually 2x as powerful
Jogo and Hanami did say Mahito would continue to get stronger and climb the ladder, reaching new heights. Think Gege also said transformed Mahito would have annihilated Yuji if he hadn't landed that last Black Flash.
Edit: You already said my second sentence, damn.
That stare from Roshi at the end 😂
That's another way of saying 'yyeeeahhhhhhh' without actually saying it
Mahito getting caught up by Todo’s infinite void 😂
fun fact: the cocoon hatchling imagery scene in the Opening and 7:45 serves as a metaphorical device for mahito's journey for his souls true essence.
Yes. 🙌🏿
The rabbit being hunted by the wolf metaphor was soooo well done, and it felt like Megumi was with Yuuji
Itadori didn't do a delayed black flash, it was divergent fist, which he can control when he uses. He used it to throw off mahito
he learned to control it after choso fight

11:40 Mahito’s armor dropped because he was trying to bait Yuji into hitting that part since he reinforced it with all his cursed energy. And the time delay was just divergent fist, not a delayed black flash
This episode was honestly so good. Yuji finally packing up Mahito was so worth the wait.

If you're incredibly curious and cannot wait a week, you're looking for the last two pages of Chapter 133. 133, 134, and 135 should be animated next week. Have a lovely Thursday c:
Bro, I love the hand-to-hand combat in this season! The fight choreography and animation is amazing!
It reminds me of Mirio/Lemillion from mha. They're powers are so basic on paper but the way they use and apply it is what makes them so strong.
The whole imagination thing was just in his head. Instead of all those hits, he just clapped Mahito's hand when he was rushed down. I love the whole segment and how the animators are adding extras.
5:33 oh yeah, Sukuna 100% knew what was coming, he was holding back a laugh there
11:05 the explanation was cut in the anime, but basically yujii can now control his divergent fist to hit whenever he wants rather than it being like before and hitting directly after the first . Now he can control when that 2nd hit affects the opponents
Here 5 months later, Sheera always has the Sheeragan active is all I'm gonna say lmao
thats what Im sayingg lol
Everything about this ep was insane
11:48 Sheera was on to something Fr
Ahhh, seeing Mahito fling random shit in a mad panic only to do nothing - love it 😂.
Todo’s imagination wild af too. Yuji got caught in the middle of (deservedly) glazing himself up, now Pseudo Geto stepping in.
Their reaction to Todo's delusions was the funniest 😂😂😂
12:19 "Demons run, when a good man goes to war"
What's satisfying to me is that for the first time, Mahito now truly understands what it is to fear for your own life.
However , ever since the fight with choso , Yuji itadori has been able to control divergent fist" - from jjk manga
its like u learned how ride a bicycle but now by using divergent ur trying to learn the way how u tried to learn bicycle before mastering it
Even when his hand is severed, Todo will never respect the ones.
He will never stop jumping, even in spirit

That "time lag" that saved itadori was from the original technique he learned, Divergent Fist...remember he was using that in season 1 16:05

1:55 😂😂😂 Not ass-clapping Todo!!! 🤣🤣🤣
If you were learning to use a bicycle and was falling off unintentionally while paddling...then you mastered it and dont fall off ...It would be much harder for you to intentionally fall while paddling again right? its like that
He couldnt control CE so it lagged behind but now he made the CE intentionally slow or to lag which is much harder

Itadori rly said “f around and find out” to Mahito ain’t playing games this ep
The pain in Roshi's eyes at the end was so real😂
the delayed hit on mahito's shoulder was simply a use of yuji's original technique, the divergent fist

The delayed punched wasn’t a black flash, it’s just Yuji’s technique, in the start of the show they mentioned Yuji’s punches are two impacts, the first impact and then the second impact so that’s why he said “Time lag”
its not a technique its a bad habit cause his CE lagged behind before his actual fist pounches....but this time he did it intentionally like to choso
