They let Sukuna cook
Domain Expansion: Malevolent Kitchen
He cooked shibuya
my favorite domain expansion is malevolent kitchen
He cooked as him

Funny fact: One of the animators couldn’t find a photo of the floor plan for one of the buildings that Sukuna destroyed, so they used the design of Mappa’s production floor for that building instead 😭😭

Had it copied and ready to paste as soon as the video dropped
Bro had this in his notes app prepared to copy and paste faster than the Flash

Is that an actual fact? Because if so, then my love hatred towards dis man is insane 😂
fun fact for those who didnt get it : sukuna basically cancelled the ritual by killing mahoraga as an outsider so mahoraga is just temporarily dead and can be summoned back to try to tame again
yeah, like plugging the console out before the save file could be completed lol
I love this analogy cause I do this all the time.@@baakaaria
Yet he never tamed it
I was wondering about that. If he's forever dead or if his strength would combine with the other remaining Shikigami. Thanks for the clarification.
Does Mahoraga remeber the things he adapted to before he "died" or does it start all over again?
you can see how Mahoraga adapts when he is under water, he develops gills and sucks up the water. THE DETAILS 🔥🔥
yeah we see him constantly adapting. Grows larger to stop being ping ponged around in the air. Becomes malleable to escape the rubble he got trapped under. becomes small/floaty in order to escape the plane wreck and grows gills or something in order to escape from being pinned under water.
@@mattimeikalainen6963damn good catch
I'm surprised other people didn't notice this
Why is the subtitles saying his name is Makora? Not Mahoraga?
Mistranslation. They did the same with Sukuna's Malevolent Shrine by calling it Kitchen because of the multiple meanings that 'mizushi' has in Japanese.

I think even if Yuji knows Sakuna killed those people and not him; he remembers those actions like he did them himself. It’s not just a clipshow, he feels what it was like to mercilessly kill thousands of people as clearly as his own memories.
The bigger issue is that Yuji's whole deal is that he's supposed to be executed for having Sakuna in him. The only reason this was even able to happen is because he accepted Gojo's deal to absorb as much of Sakuna as possible before letting them kill him.
Now he's thinking "I should have died before now, then this wouldn't have happened."

I think it's fine to criticize. This could have been the best anime episode of the century, but mappa is garbage. I don't blame the animators, I blame the higher ups
so much respect that every reactor mentions the hard overworked and underpaid animators
Fr. I mean the animators are damn talented and ambitious. We don't really see this type of animation often where animators really break their limits and not just animating what's already present in the manga and add motions, effects and high graphics. But sadly mappa doesn't know how to appreciate damn
Right. I’m glad a lot of reactors are addressing this terrible situation and expressing their appreciation for these poor animators
This is apart of why what Mappa does is so evil. They get these animators with genuine love for animation and the projects they work on and them push insane schedules onto them@@megatbasyarullah4859
The reactors are the ones who make money by using without permission the footage that those animators have worked so hard to create.
Their words are nothing but hypocrisy.
facts!@@user-mk7kj5bz7c
Key points for anyone who missed them:
1) Mahoraga is Megumi's "trump card" that Gojo alluded to in season 1. It was during Megumi's flashback while fighting the second finger bearer. Megumi was also planning to use it against Sukuna during their fight at the juvenile detention center. This is what Sukuna is referring to when he said that Mahoraga would've beaten him had Megumi summoned it at that time.
2) Because Mahoraga is untamed, Megumi can summon it as many times as he needs to until he is able to tame it. Sukuna simply cancelled the ritual. Mahoraga has not been permanently destroyed.
3) After adapting, Mahoraga isn't just able to see Sukuna's slashes. It's capable of deflecting them as well. This was made clearer in the manga.
4) Mahoraga didn't just adapt to Sukuna's slashes. It adapted to slashing attacks in general. Mahoraga couldn't be destroyed by Malevolent Shrine, which is why Sukuna had to finish it off with the fire arrow.
I feel like at this point yuji is gonna need a good lawyer to convince the higher-ups not to kill him😂

Fun fact: The movie they made was done in 4-5 months that’s how hectic it is working for Mappa.
Big shts has been laid out on this episode alone. We learned why the Zenin Clan would pay literally tons of money for a kid who got a hereditary technique that is Ten Shadows to under their wing. Also BIG MAD PROPS to Gojo for bringing up Megumi in this world acting as his guardian and mentor despite being the son of the guy who tried to kill him while having the ability that can potentially defeat/kill Gojo.
i wonder why because mahoraga is like the only good thing about it, unless you can make agito like sukuna
From Megumi point of view, he was in a tug of war domain expansion battle with Dagon so he was almost out of cursed energy, was yeeted out by some dude who had insane physical strength, used his body as bait allowing himself to be stabbed in order to try to finish that dude, was asked about his name and the dude stabbed himself and after all that, he got ambushed. So yeah, he was going to die against blondie almost guaranteed, pulling up Mahoraga and saying "Good luck, i'm going to die first" it's basically telling him "Yeah, i can't win, but you're coming with me"
Agreed! I think it's sometimes hard for people to keep track of what a character has been through. He didn't have the juice left to defend himself and basically did the same thing Itadori attempted against Choso.
For once Megumi was actually on his last legs, poor kid.

I didn't notice until another video brought it up. But Megumi explained his ability to make it even stronger. That's just so much overkill.
Oh damn I didn't notice either. Megumi was ready to die for the slight inconvenience
He was expecting to die, so he made sure he’d bring haruta along with mahoraga at his maximum potential. Tho I’m not sure if in this case the explanation thing would work since mahoraga is technically not under his control and since the reason of the ritual is to tame it, you’d have no reason to make it any stronger
He had to explain it all out loud while making sure blondie heard him so both would get involved in the ritual. I guess making it stronger was a bonus, but the whole point was sicking Mahoraga on the dweeb and making sure he was taken out.
@@cortesyes I think in this case explaining his technique out loud ensured that the efficiency of the technique was at its peak; the technique being the summoning ritual itself, not necessarily Mahoraga. I think.

A lot of people are saying how fucked up it is that sukuna gives control back to yuji just to let him see the aftermath; but I think the pact they made back in s1 makes this moment that much more impactful. If you guys remember, sukuna tricked itadori into a pact basically saying he could take control at any moment and theres nothing he could do about it. Also made sure to wipe his memory that they ever made the pact when he wakes up. Show is crazy man
forgot to add that yuji doesn't even remember what he did until after it's done, so I guess he has no clue whats going on outside of the realm he's stuck in
@@freek931 That's not it. The Binding Vow they made is about Sukuna able to control his body anytime he wants for 1 minute AS LONG AS HE DIDN'T HURT ANYONE in exchanged on being revived. What happened here is not covered by the Binding Vow, it's simply the outrageous amount of fingers he consumed and the cursed energy stored within him. Since Yuji was knocked tf out by Choso, it's more of a shock of the Surge Cursed energy he got in a short amount of time.
If he eats 1 or 2 fingers at a time, Yuji can still control it as he already adapted on the first time. But, like I said, this is just Sukuna able to power through the Knocked out Yuji using the amount of Fingers he was forced to eat. If this is he Binding Vow they made, Sukuna would've felt the consequences of breaking it since he literally slaughtered the surface populous of shibuya.
Don't worry, you'll see this Vow they made in act on season 3 or 4. Sukuna have big plans to enact. Lmao
In the water scene, Makora grows gills, and in the sky, it becomes giant to crush the train. I rewatched this so many times to see how many adaptation easter eggs the animators dropped. Makora is so badass

For those wondering about the OP playing during itadori's breakdown. The song is meant to celebrate sukuna and the curses and mocking itadori. Also why he shows itadori all the shit he has done and why they pan out to show the destruction, bc sukuna wants to break itadori's spirit. Sukuna shows up and has fun for a bit but unlike with Jogo, he realizes that having fun won't be enough for this thing. If it adapts to all of his moves, there won't be a path to victory. So he has to take it out in one blow. Then he demolishes most of the city, annihilates SO MANY PEOPLE(including Haruta who's luck had ran out) and then makes Yuji see and experience it all so he can laugh at his misery. Once again, Sukuna is not Yuji's friend. He is not on his side at all. Yuji's suffering and despair brings Sukuna entertainment. Just like how he laughed with Mahito when Junpei was killed in front of Yuji. He is diabolical. And now, Nanami is back. Nearly burnt to a crisp but still walking. Where does his path lead to, I wonder?
Mahoraga is just a final fuck you from the Zenin clan. And considering their attitude towards literally everything it makes sense that a double suicide is the conventual way to use him lmaooo.
I just realized we’re so close to the end of the season and seeing todo and yuji throw hands with mahito
I might cry next episode..
Sukuna is great because usually villains need a tragic backstory so they're "relatable", or at least we need to understand their motives even though we disagree... nah, he's just evil because he loves being evil, most villains like that are lame and edgy but not him
@@pabloc8808We still dont know his backstory, but i would guess that the heian era was fucked. To make a thing like him, imagine the hell that time was
This is what Sukuna tells Yuji at the end of season 1: “People will die because _you_ live.”
Sukuna did as promised. The worst night of Itadori Yuji’s life, the one thing he wanted to do was save people and give them a dignified death.
He is the MC I’ve felt the most horrified for since Guts. He’s truly my favorite MC as well, when I read that last scene of Yuji crying asking to die in the manga, my eyes watered, but seeing it animated with the VA and everything and the fcking intro song? I was crying.
It’s such a good take on the typical shounen MC who wants to do good and save people except this show displays how fragile and idealistic that goal is in a world of monsters (especially one living inside you)
@@christopherross8976 exactly! I feel like it was finally done right. Yuji cares deeply about people, but he's doing thongs for two reasons: because his grandad asked him to, and because no one else could do what he does. But it's not possible to save everyone or give the ones that couldn't be saved a dignified death when you live in a cruel world and harbor a monster inside you. It's a sad truth Yuji learns, and still, he gets up because if he doesn't, then he's no better than a murderer. He is so good.
The Worst Night, yes. Yay.
16:15 bro get it right away 😳
Surprised no one mentioned how Sukuna said how he's not a curse.
MY MIND
Well no he’s not JUST a curse, he’s a curse in a physical human host body
It was explained by Gojo in season 1 that Sukuna was a sorcerer who lived during the Heian Era.
@@Benzonian612 right, but he survived through his fingers turning into cursed objects so if these cursed objects incarnate (like with yuji) is he considered a curse now? Cuz humans can turn into curses (like with rika) but sukunas case is a bit different cuz he turned into cursed objects. Is he a cursed spirit rn or still considered a human?
@@hehe-tw6jl Sukuna is capable of using reverse curse technique. Curses can't use RCT because positive energy kills them(Mahoraga's sword is coated with it), so that would imply that Sukuna is not a curse spirit.
As a non-manga reader, because of the word "Shibuya INCIDENT" arc, I am expecting worst scenes but oh boy, I definitely didn't expect this level of CHAOS. Especially when Sukuna showed up and destroyed the city. I'm speechless..till now, I still can't process what just happened.
Oh it’s not over 😂
@@bigounce8301 lmao, right? i was just thinking....it's still not over hahah
Just when u think it can’t get any worse… here comes a new episode next week
Facts. This is no incident this is disaster
Just wait.... Be prepared for your SOUL to get SNATCHED away next week.
@7:50 "The collateral damage is ridiculous"
remember you said that at THIS point in the episode.
This whole episode I was like "They must rewind or something once the ritual is over, there is so much damage" nope. that shit stuck.
16:07 oh boy i got something to tell you….
After seeing Itadori breakdown, the ED makes a lot of sense and it’s probably my favorite. The song is about feeling like life is out of control and that there’s nothing you can do to correct the mistakes of the past. But even with feeling helpless and falling into despair, you still have a small part in you that wants to believe in yourself, and that you can somehow make it right.
Itadori feels responsible for all of the death Sukuna caused, yet he has to keep fighting, or all of those lives died for nothing. He has to make it right no matter what. And it’s not in the typical shounen protagonist way of getting motivated after defeat. That last shot of his hopeless, emotionless face says it all. He’s doing this out of desperation. It’s heartbreaking to see him go through this trauma.
XEMA!! you reusing the “no i think they’re fine” at 12:08 was TOP TIER 😂😂😂😂
They get me laughing so good sometimes lol, it's the little things. A change in subtitles, a quiet voice edit, its perfect lol.
fun theory: there's a theory flying around in the jjk manga community RN regarding sukuna CT, this theory says that sukuna true CT is something that related to cooking, the proof including his dismantle and cleave technique is representing the knife and the fire technique that he used during this arc is representing the stove. another supporting evidence that sukuna also really likes to use cooking analogy when in a conversation.
also quote:"His domain expansion is named ‘Fukuma Mizushi’ in Japanese. The ‘Mizushi’ part might refers to Mizushi-dokoro, which is a place to prepare food for the emperor. In addition, there’s a hotpot dish in Japan that’s called “Ryomen sukuna no nabe”."
7:02 The Nationwide edit almost took me out bro, their editor is crazy 😂
Sukuna used all of shibuya as his canvas and just painted it red
Literally insane
Half of Nanami's body is burnt like overcooked steak and bro's still tryna turn in his reports for Monday. The difference between Nanami and our parents is that the story of him having to walk 10 miles to fill up a bucket of water and go through hell and back to get to school and work was probably true.
transfiguration
Nanami feeling like the animators rn.
16:25. These guys are really on to something
6:17 bro just SWAM through the building 😭
All the time megumi threatened to use this monster it feels like he was bringing a nuke to a airsoft fight
Prayers to all the animators who fought through, and put their heart and souls even when facing such horrible working conditions. This is a gorgeous episode that will be remembered as a staple for JJK 🙏🙏
3:55 “come anima” i love that it didnt even take me a sec to know a Seymour FFX reference
“No I think they’re fine”… 😂😂😂😂
I don't understand how this show just keeps getting better, it's genuinely mind boggling
Indeed 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Y'all ain't seen nothing yet,
the Shibuya incident is mid in comparison to what comes next
@@chumincoomimreally? I thought this was the best arc. And please don’t give me any spoilers :p
@@Rafael-pe6yg don't worry bro I'd never spoil.
People call this the best arc simply because it's where the tone of jujutsu kaisen was finally set,
As you remember season 1 was basically a slice of life with a fight here and there.
However that changes this arc,
It's definitely one of the most important arcs,
but calling it the best would be laughable.
The only people who genuinely believe that are ones that never actually read past Shibuya.
The best storytelling, fights, plot, comedy, and much more is yet to come
@@chumincoomim YES!. The Culling Game Arc is just *chef's kiss*
Fun fact:In JJK season 1 megumi used the stance and hand sign to summon Mahoraga when he was about to fight Sukuna
Several times, it seems like a move he keeps well in mind. He even used the stance when we first meet fucking Todo. Kid's got a death wish fr
No one test megumi cause a slight inconvenience for him makes him wanna kill himself@@MdiPaol0
@@MdiPaol0this is false and just plain misinformation, you’ve probably seen that on tiktok or somewhere like that but he was never going to summon mahoraga against todo, he was summoning divine dog
@@currymuncher420nope watch again. He almost used it against Todo. Check the stance.
@@currymuncher420 I think YOU need to read it again.
Please react to the blu ray version of this bro plz
15:12 "The real two faced enters the chat" 😭😭
Never has an episode caused me emotional pain and amazed me with beauty to this degree both at the same time.
For real
I love Sukuna's character so much. He's fr the only one running around Shibuya right now without any consequences.
For real killing innocents with open DE no barrier
Deadass, he and Mahito it seems. From the amount of transfigured humans, that piece of shit has been having a blast
“no i think they’re fine” had me rollin
Your videos are editted so well. I remember subscribing so long ago lol
Sukuna got hungry midfight while fighting the strongest shikigami and was like"wait, let me catch a popcorn and pepsi"💀
11:32 Roshi realizing that they’re NOT fine like 10 seconds later 😭😭
11:00 no ketchup😂😂
i like how they pay attention to every detail. nice reaction, keep it up!
Itadori's reaction at the end was just heartbreaking, it hit me harder than when I read the manga. And the next episodes are the ones I was dreading the most 😭
I hope the animators get to rest and recover! They have been doing an amazing job
Facts! Yeah, the dread is real.
