This is a great tune, but it's the "Shut up, we know you can play! Jesus!" that gets me at the end. Haha, I love Devin Townsend.
Never realized that was devin til your comment wow
@@dylankopff7139 Devin Townsend from Sex and Religion?
OK Cool.
Always assumed it was just Vai.
Luv and Peace.
@@ianedmonds9191 man so did I, I always thought vai sung on rescue me or bury me
@@dylankopff7139 vai did sing on rescue me or bury me
Its taken from the song Just Cartilage that Vai did during the Sex And Religion period and was used as a B Side.
Some very clever tricks to make it look like they're not playing to an empty arena, but you can always see an artist feeding off of crowd energy or not.
Steve Vai is the true definition of a guitar god.
the official song of 90's racing games...
dickyp1 hell, it even fits OnRush too!
Lmao
F1 96
@@ZrinkoF1 Released 96 but was 95 season (simtek collapsed in middle of 95)
ITS SCHIATARELLA! HE'S HIT THE WALL!
2:48-2:58 is still my favourite ten seconds of phrasing in any solo ever.
It just sounds like he is having so much fun.
Respect.
I feel the same way about 1:42-2:01 , it’s as if he’s speaking directly with his guitar. Hard to explain what I mean... he just makes some of the most wonderful sounds with his guitar in that sequence
Completely agree...I only imagine guitar being a fruit and Stevie is squeezing every bit of juice out of it
Same for me. Especially that quick double pick scrape he does at the beginning of the phrase. So small a thing, but so huge really.
I know right?
There’s something absolutely cheeky and special about.
I’m glad I’m not the only one to live that but.
I even saw a comment above with a times stamp, and was about to reply only to realize it was my comment from before lol.
Alien Love Secrets was only 7 songs but every one was an absolute master class in tone, nuance, vibe and technical wizardry. The pinnacle of his storied (and ongoing) career, IMHO. This song in particular just has that happy, bouncy vibe that you must love... the best of Cliffs of Dover and Summer Song melded into a weapon only Vai can wield... one of my favorite songs, period. Long live the maestro!
by far my favourite Vai Song...it is almost a homage to Joe Satriani
Sounds like it's got a touch of Eric Johnson in there, too.
I just came to watch this because I got lost between the Juice and Satch Boogie riffs. They could almost be from the same song.
Satch Boogie’s sister 👍
Juice Satriani
I found Vai through my appreciation for Satriani and... I've gotta say, while Satriani has such a level of expertise and artistry that it's clinical, I actually think Vai is the better guitarist. Slightly. At their level, it's really hard to say who's better -- the deciding factor for me was how consistently surprising, interesting, and out-of-the-box Vai's licks and progressions are. Satriani has his fair share, but it's like Vai takes a weekly trip to DMT-land to brush up on all the latest other-worldly musical trends.
Monster
Taught by the Satch
I always felt Juice and Satch Boogie are like... continuations of each other
Deep inside his heart Steven knows that that his his best track
Definitely his most difficult and yes his best.
As it's been said "Steve doesn't do drugs". Yet recording something like this and then playing it back the first time yields the
greatest high, all natural, there is. Been there myself. And it lasts for hours. Thanks and congrats Steve..
Fuoriclasse over the top🎉
02:48 is for some reason the coolest lick ever. Silly, I know 😄 it just has this cheeky vibe to it I can’t explain it 😄😄
This what genius looks like.
For anybody who thinks most people can play a guitar, trying playing like Steve Vai.
Juice is probably one of his best solos ever written besides windows to the soul. It's all nuts either way. I see a lot of Vai freaks in here..calm down will ya
yes! I couldn't play this! Instead of many trial in my high school years! But this is my most favorite guitar song still now!
To play like this oh my
It’s always a nostalgic feeling hearing that first song you learned to play
LMAO💀 yeah right 😭 I agree
@@SelFreeLions xD
nice, mine was Yngwie Malmsteen's Far Beyond The Sun, first day I picked up the guitar, so good
@@SelFreeLions 🙊🤣🤣
Satch Boogie !!!
indeed xD
xD xD
No. Boogie but not Satch...
Mas Joe ...yes !!! Steve vai's satch boogie !
same soul technic from master and student
That transition bit at 2:48 sounds so, so beautiful.
My favourite bit as well by a mile.
To my ear he's channeling EVH in that passage and the following 3 bars.
Amazing work.
Luv and Peace.
Yup, like a cute Love song
This play is so good to remind me of Crossroads.
Almost 3 decades ago now and the EVO guitar he is still playing today, very beat up now.
Definitely one of the baddest and most coherent guitar songs ever dam
Yeah, it's got the sound, and style.
My favorite Vai song. I wish he would do more like this one and The Animal. So much freaking fun.
I need to go to a show before it’s too late I wish I could’ve seen him back then😢 just became a fan the past year but your live performances are my favorite and you play that guitar like a damn alien it’s crazy 😂 can’t get enough tho
I love the way Steve's vibrato looks and sounds just amazing.
Beautiful!
The guy can definetely, but the man got some groove off his feet too
River City Ransom Vibes...

63 AÑOS. (64)
Para mi estaria en el top 3
Unreal! He's so technically skilled, its amazing
Steve vai made some pretty good music back then. It was a bit more interesting and catchy back then.
he sounds much more interesting this way.
It was catchier back then, but I’ve always found all his music interesting. Not all of it is catchy, but not all of it is meant to be.
I still have this VHS and a rare copy of one of Mr. Vai's 'rare' releases, that wasn't supposed to be "released"...very cool stuff...
This man is the greatest Electric Guitarist alive right now.
What about Michael Angelo batio,Buckethead, yngwie malmsteen
@@reef1372 LMAO imagine comparing Buckethead to steve vai
You must have not heard his work.
Bucket head is every bit as technical As Steve Extremely complex songs and on top of that he can play faster than Steve He is a master class musician mask and bucket aside.
@@reef1372 Buckethead is good but you have no fuckin' clue what you're saying if you're comparing the two on equal terms.
Thinking faster = better also shows you don't understand what true artistry is.
This harmonics are out of this world, very stunning and creativity music of master Vai!
Beautiful, Steve! Thank you! 🎸🎶
What a great song
🤘😈🤘🔥🔥🔥
This is with no doubt the best car music ever!
wow all his videos are pretty incredible, i can understand why people see him as the best guitar player :p
Now THIS is rock'n'roll!
With a badass sound and style. And the way he can just shred with his finger hand alone without the pick! That's awesome.
That trick at 1:15 is amazing! You have to watch it several times to appreciate what he does in a span of one or two seconds.
Edit: But I don't think it's real. The audio exactly matches the track on the Alien Love Secrets album, which I'm sure was recorded in a studio, plus I can't see any sign of a cable plugged into his guitar. I think he's just going through the motions in this video.
That’s an actual guitar technique and the audio track is pretty lined up with his overall playing in this video. Steve Vai is one of the best and I doubt he would just “go through the motion”. He does a lot of technical guitar work so if it’s in the music video it’s most likely the actual way he plays.
yeah this is the audio from the studio version. on the video you are seeing vai play all this from memory
Kinda has that funky blues metal sound, with expertise!
🤘🏻🤘🏻
Love juice.. 2thumbs up! Steve vai the soul.
Foot loose + Satch Boogie
When this video was released, I watched this video a bunch of times. Then I bought white Ibanez JEM and practiced this tune. It was over couple decades ago.
Influence of satch 🤘
Di 10 brani musicali di Steve; 6 sperimentali 4 capolavori assoluti.
This must be one of your absolute best, Mr. Vai!.. Godspeed! 🤘😎
Love it more every time I hear it, it's my wakeup jam, simply amazing!
Música perfeita...
Música e performances perfeitas...
Yah gave Steve all of his gifts!
Bela composição, execução magistral.
Impressionantemente impressionante! Talento puro. Domínio total do instrumento. Mestre dos mestres!!!
Super!!! I love this guy
Must have been some tasty juice ta make ya do this 😮
Хорошее настроение всегда в кармане .....=) Актуально всегда !
so much work on each note ! That's crazy !
at 0:56 he does a evh face :P
Yes i noticed that as well
vai is a god of the guitar
Total Joe influence there. Great stuff all round!
Kinda reminds me of "Footloose" at times
I thought only I think that
Funk #49
Thought id answer the question! If you watch the commentary side of the alien love secrets dvd, Steve tells you that the music video is all mimed. Thats why there is no guitar cable. Also! Tender Surrender is filmed with Steve using a Jem, but he actually records it with a Fender Strat!
Really..fender strat got 24frets???
That's inaccurate, Tender surrender was recorded with the JEM, the track you are referring to it's The Boy from Seattle, witch was indeed recorded with a strat for the most part.
Actually it was “The Boy From Seattle” dude. And of course it’s mimed; the video’s a lip sync
this sounds like it should be in a 90's TMNT game for the snes lol
Please play again this Song!it's Awesome
complicated mind , my favourite song , kind of a powerfull boogie :)
el inicio me recuerda a la cancion young thing
i like very very like musik.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎉🎉🎉🎉
number 1 of mi list!!!
seen him 4 times in new zealand...cant wait for the next time ..its 11..03..2020
Those were the good ole days...today he’s lost his mind and reached a new plateau like on Pluto or something
Yes it is !
Genio!!!
The Best.
Steve y su cruce de caminos!!
I just bought the tab book on eBay and this song scares the hell out of me
It's Footloose 😄
Great Video! By a Great Person, and Guitar Player!
Inimitably! Thanks, inimitable Steve!..
Excelente...
Still Fresh. Nola!!
Master of the whammy
Ciao Steve from Italy 👋👋👋
Big 🙂. Over the top Steve .💘
super, amazing....masterpiece !
"shut up! we know you can play !! jesus ..." LOL
that's how to rock and roll!!!!
O cara é pika
This is like Vai's version of Satch Boogie lol
damn good
God...
Very similar to the song Steve was playing before the big duel in "Crossroads Blues".
Steve Vai: *dressing into everything* Hey bro! What are you gonna wear?
**Blue shirt, white bass**
ayo campur semua jusnya!!
Truly virtuouso
yeah, the initial part hears a lot like man on a mission!
