These are my favorite models of mustang. I love the meld of modern and retro. I know the 4.6 3V isn't a powerhouse, but there is so much you can do with a rebuild or a coyote. The 4.6 can make good power with a good rebuild. It will never be a Coyote engine or other engines that can fully support better power, but it can make good power. Power that most won't be able to handle. I think most everyone gets stuck in the absolute max performance or best performance and throws something away because it's not the best, even if it can fully acheive what is in there goals or their ability. I'm also seeing a bit of a resurgence of the S197, which I'm excited about because more parts! The fun idea that the intake for an SN95 New Edge 4.6 was just put into production makes me think the window is moving up to S197 to become a very good hobby platform.

Im tryna save for some Cams for my 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac V8. I love the exhaust note of the 4.6L 3V.
I’ve got 427r project 53000 mls put Breen speed 490r package back Detroit rockers with tune feels pretty strong gonna go long tube headers next cat back exhaust an a 3:73gear an see what happens but already highly impressed 😂
At first you had me feeling bad I sold my 05 gt fbo w nitrous 410 gears but when I saw the end I was like I made the right call she was fast but like you said with the newer technology you’ll be able to get a 10speed coyote and mod it vs fully building one of these unless you doing your own labor but it’s still costly then
A 10 speed coyote costs 3 to 5 times more than a 3v. It better have more performance lol. You're paying alot more for that so it's all relative.
@@midnight347 it may cost more but them 10 speeds hell and the money I put into my 3v I could’ve had a coyote far as price wise when I was done building it and when I was out of gears that coyote had plenty more ijs but then again we talking about pushing it past 120 so it depends on the race
He said the gto got his brother clothes on 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Any chance you can make a video on 4.6 4Vs ? I just got one, i want to keep N/A but want to spoil her i already did brakes spark plugs, brakes new air filter previous owner didnt clean his k&n. I dont want to make a monster i just want her to enjoy this garage life lol
Naw the problem is for the part's for 05-09 are very expensive from bumper to bumper but I love my 07 gt just not putting anything else in to it anymore about 4 grand in😢
but it wouldnt make it special to 5.0 swap it, just cam it and get it to 700 theres a video on youtube with his 3v mustang gt comp cams stage 3. These engines sound so much better than the screeching 5.0
Ok my guy - for your money, whats the best budget minded build platform? Say $20k for the car?
5.0?
5.7 hemi?
6.4 srt?
6.1 srt?
2010-15 camaro?
Thinkin hellion twin turbos or a big blower...
5.0 for sure. You're not doing anything to a 6.4 bc it just comes maxed out the factory. No potential whatsoever.
@@thehairylarryit's far from "maxed out" but they don't gain like the Fords do with bolt ons. You can boost them they just can't take alot in factory form. For the money a gen 1 coyote destroys all of those.
Do not do a "big blower" do a 2650 tvs or go turbo. Big blower is a bad idea unless you're trying to make well over 1000 wheel and imo at that point just go turbo
GURU, I'D LOVE TO GET YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE RICK ROSS BEST DONK CONVERSATION BETWEEN I95 SPORTS BIPOLAR VS FREDRARRI BETTLEJUICE DONK. WHO DO YOU THINK REALLY WON?
Liked and subscribed. My boy Fox and I fucks wit cha bro bro. You know your shit fr. 💯
does this contribute the 3v 5.4 as well🤔
I could just listen to this guy talk car history and specs fr
Where can coyote swap my 3 valve at in Memphis?
Thank you brah brah ❤
Thank you for doing a vid on the 3vs I got hot rod cams for mine, kooks long-tube headers w/ h-pipe , cai, and 93 bama tune. Not sure what it’s putting down but I’m guessing 330
i’m at 340 on an air intake, under drive pulleys, muffler delete on a 93 brenspeed tune
I recently purchased a super clean 98 Cobra. Can I 400hp without a power added (pistons, arms etc)? Thanks! Triple
no. youre not getting 400 hp without spending like 10k on those old cobras. you need to grab a top end kit and slap that on if you want to even think about 400 hp. just go to kenne bell and supercharge it for the same price if not less if you buy used
Just turbo or procharger good to go.
It’s a great car unless your looking to make big power I feel like 450 wheel is great power that’s more than modern muscle na cars but it is you max if your looking for more than 450 the 5.0 is def the move
I’d be happy with 500-550 hp out my 4.6 not really into drag racing just wanna cruise and maybe track it taking corners
❤
I wanna know some more about the 4.6 2v truck or car engine bro I wanna make some decent power 😎 nothing too crazy
Man I bought a sn95 not too long ago (needed a car desperately) *before anybody comments “why not get a new edge or a s197🤓”* i got the 3.8l v6 I’m really wanting to throw a 5.4 4v out of a navigator and throw boost at it at this point I’m searching for unique ford motor swaps I can throw in this thing because everyone eventually throws a coyote in these things really wanna be different lol CarGuru I need a vid about the sn95 😭😂
FourEyes!
What about 4.6 3v f150 ?!?
Personally I think ford has completely shit the bed on most of its newer engines. Especially the S550 mustang 5.0 and 3.7. Every mustang owner I know has or dealt with the cam phasers! I have a 17, 3.7 with 99k. I’m fixing to be on motor number 3. I don’t know about y’all but I can’t afford to keep blowing money like that. So I bought a 11 crown Vic the other day and I’m fixing to put something reliable in mine and be done with it. I ain’t trying to keep up with Jones.
I thought locking the phasers isn’t worth it and same with camming coyotes
Coyote I’m pushing 800 horsepower on. Mine with a supercharger and a bottom end
Best mustang you can buy tbh.. mfs just don’t know how to build them.
I Just got a 06 GT I Want To Get About 450 Out Of It
3.7 w boost makes more power I think
Ok, I don't suggest building a 3v... get yourself a coyote gen 2 and boost it.
Y bother...if you need need to upgrade the rods..you might as well swap the motor.
Your title reads... how to make coyote power with a 4.6.
Coyote swap doesn't count.
But if you have the money to build a 4.6/5.4/6.2/6.8
You can smoke most cars on the road
Facts sir Facts 😅
Do the Camaro
Camaro? The only time I see a Camaro when driving my S197 is in the rear-view mirror. 😆
Tho is why Bob gets a bad rep, that GTO smh.
I love the Coyote Platform, just L.S swap the 3V.
Yuck
No.
Stop it. You can go quick w the 3v, coyote swap, terminator or gt500 swap anything but a damn ls. If you don't wanna build a Ford buy a gm.
@@midnight347 If you're going to get a Ford 8.8 in your Chevy, you might as well just get a Mustang lol
Not 4v it’s a 3v
Trash ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, jk 5.0 is the way too go.
5.0s cost more. It's all relative. People never mention this when they talk about them being better. Of course they're better but they cost more lol.
This why I’m tapped in on all platforms🫡
