  • Latest little project to finish up my sound system. I wanted to keep my amps inline fuse holder high and dry so I utilized the battery tray bolt on the Jeep & a piece of scrap aluminum sheet cut and bent to fit. So far it's worked out great. It's just a simple inline fuse holder bracket that anyone can make at home but still very functional and looks clean.

very nicely done. You should sell those. I'd buy one. And also... where did you get the terminal block for your battery. I like that.

Thank you and that’s a good idea. How much would pay for a bracket like this? I have a video of the battery terminals in my videos. Just look for a video called quadratec battery terminals

@@JeepArmyUSA Thanks, I'll check that video out. I would say I would probably pay $25 -$30 for a bracket like that. Its an excellent idea that you can make a lot of them from a decent sized piece of aluminum plate.

Did you end up making these for sale?

Do you have any worry about the bolts shaking loose?

They’re thread tapped into the inline fuse holder itself and the fasteners are really tight. I would be amazed if somehow both fasteners shake loose. Or even one I’d be surprised. And if they did, that notch in the holder is pretty deep and narrow. So as long as the wires are attached, it’s not moving side ways out of the notch.

Nice job and all but trust me when I tell you...I've been doing mobile audio/alarm installs for 2 decades and no matter what kind of amp or power it's putting out, that Amazon/Swap meet InstallGear 8 gauge amp kit you're using is straight TRASH. It's cheap copper clad aluminum wire that has more PVC jacket than wire. 8 gauge jacket with 12 gauge worth of strands, if that. I wouldn't use that for speaker wire. That wire and 50-60 amp fuse couldn't even power a 100w amplifier efficiently. Jacket and fuse holder is going to melt. There's a reason that kit is $16 vs $50 for premium OFC true gauge wire. Don't learn the hard way.

No worries 😉 it’s not the kit Its just the fuse holder I’ve had before. The wire is 8 gauge 99.9% OFC not the cheap clad aluminum. All my wires are all OFC. I’ll keep an eye on the holder itself but I’m re using it and never had a problem.
