I really appreciate the narrative in your videos. You don’t go on and on, you don’t repeat unnecessarily and your clear and concise. I will be making this quilt for sure. Thank you 😊🇨🇦
Just subscribed after binge watching so many of your videos. I'm a novice quilter and have found you to be so encouraging, calming to listen to and knowledgeable and yes your stash is like our local store only bigger. Saying hi from Tasmania Australia. 👏👏👌👍🇦🇺🦘🐨 I do embroidery and candlewicking well .
Fantastic! I watched your video yesterday, was inspired and dived straight into my stash! I’ve made two lovely quilt tops which will be donated when they’re quilted. Thank you for your wonderful way of showing how quick and easy it is when you’re organised. 🦘 🇦🇺
Thanks to you and Mary. This is going to be a Great Donation pattern! I make 15-20 (or more) donation lap size quilts and wheelchair quilts per year for my doctor to give out to her patients. She visits and treats homebound and hospice patients. I add a matching tissue pack holder to each donation.
I just discovered you today and lo and behold you put out another video! I've enjoyed both of your videos, they're great for a fast easy quilt. I can tell you've been quilting for a long time. What a nice voice and running commentary you have! Nice to watch someone with experience.
I may have to find some fun fabric from my stash to make a strippy quilt, not that I know how! I love putting the fabric piece in "time out" so you won't get it confused with the others!! Genious..LOVE your content :-) thanks
My goodness this one is so darn cute and looks so easy to make. You make it look so easy. Time is always difficult to manage when working full time and caring for a elderly parent and of course chores around house and the last goes on and on. Have to carve out some sewing time soon. So a ant to start just one of the hundreds of projects I wish to make. God Bless and if you don't mind please continue to share with us your knowledge.
I just found your channel and subscribed. Your strip quilting videos are excellent. I am moderately experienced and do a lot of charity quilts so I like to switch up the patterns. Keep up the good work.
I love your methodical way of keeping the top and bottom of the directional fabric correct. Thank you very much for the pattern link. I am going to get it. Good idea about the card stock. I have loads of it.
Me too……read the comments and totally agree. I too have a great border puppy kids fabric. Now I know what to make with it. Just found your site today. Love how you present your tutorial. So fun and informative and I appreciate the time you spent sharing.
I’ve made quite a few of these and have had to reverse stitch a few times due to sewing a directional fabric upside down! I’ll try your tips next time 😀
If the fabric is not as wide as I want my quilt, do I just sew another strip set to the side? I understand I can add to the length but adding to the side, doesn't the sean look bad?
I have added borders to the side of this pattern before to make the quilt bigger. If that is what you mean? Then, yes.... just add a side seam. If you are talking about the back? Then you can add fabric there too!! Go for it.
@MerryMabelMarket I know where the seams are. I'm asking where you place the quilting, I assume it's straight quilting or stitch in the ditch quilting, however most batting requires quilting to be 3 to 5 inches apart.
It's called a "Shape Cut" ruler. You can buy it at WalMart, JoAnn's or quilt shops. It is made by June Tailor. I cannot live without mine. (I sat on it and broke it once....and IMMEDIATELY ran out and bought a new one!)

Great video, thank you.😊

Yes!! I do so hate to "reverse stitch"....
Hi! Love your videos! Do you use a particular thread brand? I was curious.
We use different brands depending on if we are quilting or piecing. I often will use Masterpiece (Superior Thread) to piece with.
Love it!!
It's so fast and fun to make!
Enjoying all your videos. I don't know your story...do you just make quilts to give them away?
Just found you today and enjoy your style! Just wondering - where did you get your ironing board? Looks so much more functional for quilts!
My ironing board is a "big board". People sell them. They rest on a regular sewing machine. My husband made this one for me. (They are DIY friendly.)
hi, can you pls tell me the name of that ruler or where to get it. love this pattern!
It's the June Tailor "Shape Cut" Ruler. (Half inch) You can get it at WalMart. Or with a coupon from JoAnn's... Or from quilt shops.
Great video

@merrymabelmarket thanks
Great video. How do you assemble your quilts? Do you sandwich them together and if so do you use a long arm or how do you sandwich them together.
I usually use my longarm. I did "domestic machine" quilt the quick strippie (as I'm waiting on my longarm).
Yes...back, batting, quilt, then bind.
@@merrymabelmarket thank u
@MerryMabelMarket did you sew vertically or horizontally for this quilt??
And did you put a seam in the middle of the largest strip or no?
@@backwoodsbaby9729 I cut selvage to selvage and the seams are between the strips.
@MerryMabelMarket I know where the seams are. I'm asking where you place the quilting, I assume it's straight quilting or stitch in the ditch quilting, however most batting requires quilting to be 3 to 5 inches apart.
Who does your filming? I'm taken with weird details.. lol
Merry Mary 🤩
So cute
Wait, wait, wait, does your straight edge have slots to cut through????? Did you make that, or buy it like that?
It's called a "Shape Cut" ruler. You can buy it at WalMart, JoAnn's or quilt shops. It is made by June Tailor. I cannot live without mine. (I sat on it and broke it once....and IMMEDIATELY ran out and bought a new one!)
@@merrymabelmarket it looks fabulous! So does your quilt.
what is the thing you use to cut your strips ?
Do we find it in France ?
Martinelli cutter. Or... the June Tailor 1/2 inch Shape Cut ruler. Good luck!
What ruler are you using?
June Tailor - 1/2 inch Shape Cut.
Where is the free
