This is why I stopped dicking around with custom loops a decade ago. I'm old school where we were making our systems from automotive transmission coolers, medical tubing, and aquarium pumps, but everything got so out of control when corporations got involved and started patenting everything that I bowed out long ago.
Everything is so fucking expensive for such laughably basic materials that it's easy to see you're getting screwed. And if they _still_ can't keep a business afloat with their insane margins that just speaks to how horribly the company has been run all along.
The really shitty part is screw the suppliers, they can afford to absorb the loss of a business to business transaction, but not paying the _employees_ is directly fucking with people lives and families, and you know when it goes to bankruptcy court they'll be the last to get paid vs banks and taxes they owe money to.
I bought a cpu block from EK that was scuffed out of the box. I emailed their customer support about it. Their response was to insinuate that I damaged the product. Anyways, Bykski makes pretty nice stuff.

In 2009 I purchased 2x EK Nickel + Acetal GPU water blocks for my AMD HD5870 graphics cards, 1 year later after doing routine watercooling maintenance & taking them apart I noticed the nickle plating started to flake off. I will never buy anything from EK ever again, they raised their prices & the quality control got much worse over time!

Please Jufes, we need a video addressing 14900K and 14900KS CPU’s crashing games. Intel needs to fix this immediately.
More importantly, the motherboard manufacturers need to downclock, their motherboards voltage offsets to Intel’s preferred voltage (Intel Fail Safe 250W) in the BIOS directly from ASUS, to MSI and Gigabyte MOBO’s in a free BIOS update.
This is only a problem for noobs, if you need a video to fix it you shouldn't be here tbh.
Your right one of the reasons i watch you is because you've been correct on like every issue from the 13 and 14 i9s to the AMD 7950x and the GPUs disaster your a no bs guy thanks for the content.
EK waterblocks in Norway now cost 3-5x as much as they did a few years ago. A damn GPU backplate costs the same as some CPU blocks. And then you have the GPU blocks including an active backplate, costs as much as a GTX 980 was in 2014. Utter insanity.

Isn't Alphacool a solid alternative to EK when it comes to custom loops? I don't have much knowledge about custom loops but heard Alphacool being a generally solid option among others who have built one using their parts.
@@TheMakk3 yes but sometimes brand distrust bleeds out into general distrust. Especially if someone doesn't necessarily have a space heater, a good AIO with good fans will do just fine, and might even WITH a space heater.

Redditors are so nice to suggest B650 and B660, B760 motherboards and people eat it up. Those boards for both AMD and Intel are cut down in bios for a top tier chip. Then they tell you in the same breath; don't go intel you need an upgrade path. Get a B650and a 7500f. Even the 7800x3d isn't that great on a B650. So what upgrade path do they speak of. The B660 and B760 are in that same boat. Stripped down too much for a 13700K to act much better than a 13700.
There may have been a little gripe with overvolting by bios default. But then they started throwing in unstable programs as a talking points, they really lost the fight from Intel, to user error.
Burnt out CPUs is different than program crashes. But reddit loves to group all bad things as Intel's fault anyways. To sell an AMD CPU!

I have to note that it was an alternative to Artic 420 liquid cooling

Watercool, german stuff, their heatkiller IV is still one of the best CPU coolers but they're not that fast in covering new GPUs.

I come from a country where EKWB originated and I must admit that it was very good to see a company from my country producing cooling for high-end PCs. I must admit that when I saw this news today I felt sad and at the same time disappointed by it.
I am glad that we have people who do not allow themselves to be bribed and put their viewers first, that is hard to find today.
I had a EK block brick my 3090 and they blamed the EVGA card, there was a forum page with 80 pages and it was growing every day the more bricked 3090's.

Idk not too long ago Northridge Fix made a video about how the connectors on Nvidia 4090 cards are still burning up and GN said they would look into it but I don’t think they’ve said anything about it since… GN I feel doesn’t look into it further cause it would go against his companies own findings and maybe just maybe Nvidia plays nice with him… but who knows I’m not sure who’s right in that case! It could be that GN is too busy and doesn’t have the time or simply forgot… but idk! What do you think? Are the 4090 burning connectors worth looking into again?

Which support rep did you talk to? Every time I've had to talk to EK support it was with Sanel D., and he went above and beyond for me every time and got shit done. Apart from that, I hold EK in roughly the same regard as ASUS, as both companies have been on a steady decline in QA for many years at this point, and if you do buy their stuff, it's a gamble of either getting something expensive but pretty OK all things considered, or you end up with overpriced trash. But, unlike ASUS, who has drywall tier support reps, I at least know with EK that Sanel tries to make things right if he can.

It's just a failed overclock from wrong stock motherboard settings, there is no underlying issue with the CPU, so this channel being all about tuning your own CPU means that the problem doesn't exist

If you think about it.... The fact they tried to buy GN for positive coverage, just imagine just how sus all the other "tech tubers" are that are not as big as GN and cant afford to refuse such offer or dont have the self values to refuse.. Cant freakin trust anyone in the tech space. Man how did it get this bad. Honestly, how did we get here? It really sucks to be a consumer that is looking to get into PC's and gaming but just don't know any better. You literally have to become a detective in order to search through the web of lies and BS and find the real info about a product these days.
It so refreshing to finally have a normal "Jufes" content creator that actually tells us what we actually want to know about a product rather then tell us what the company wants us to hear. When I got into custom back 2015, I bought their products and although they weren't cheap, they were of good quality. Today not only their prices become way way overpriced their quality took nose dive. Last products I bought from them were 2 pump/reservoir combo (without the pump) and they were overpriced. and I mount them singularity computers bracket (also overpriced otem). Today I prefer to buy from brand like aquacomputer, barrow, hardware labs and whatever I see recommendations online (like the Iceman block). I just feel sad for the employees, not getting that salaries and suppliers/contractors. As for the company it can go bankrupt I don't really care at that point.
I went for Bykski and Barrow over EK, it makes no sense to pay double for the same or worse quality!!!
If EKWB was more like Noctua, Corsair or Coolermaster they wouldn't have gone bankrupt but we have good cooling companies already so no great loss.

It's not about just the money. Imagine a massive source of information intentionally presents the data in such way to hit a soft spot of the majority of the audience. For instance, call it the "AMD algorithm" in the techtube. It generates not only clicks, but subscribers and even supporters

I have three EK AIO's and they are all fantastic. I'm sorry to hear all this bad news. Thought I was buying a quality product and it seemed like great quality. I returned other product that was not as good. I won't buy anymore EK product and hope my coolers keep working.
EK was always $hit to begin with, the only thing they had was availability for certain AIB cards (better than others or even the only ones that had it initially), but even in such a case, it was better to get a different card that had other blocks available.

Please put a balls to the wall video on the 14900ks and how it performs in 2k plus resolution and compared to the 13th gen CPU's. Especially with OC ram differences. I have a few friends fanboying hard over the new KS and I am like, just buy the 13th gen and be happy with the performance at 170fps on high resolution. The new Intel KS chip is a hype train.
Res has no effect on cpu
Normally there is not much hype on KS-parts. Those are prebinned enthusiast parts and most people seem to understand that. There are weirdos though who by these kinds of chips because their stock settings are higher than some other stock setting.
@numberz010 yes and no. As you bump up the resolution the gpu is utilized more but when the resolution is lowered further the cpu is utilized more. Therefore the cpu is somewhat affected.

When having an amd cpu you need to tune the bios, ram timings, ram frequency, voltage, fclk, bclk.
you also need to take care of power saving settings & settings that cause latency.
when you take care of all of that the cpu runs like butter

Lesson for all of this is: dont buy anything new until it is tested and validated with the kit you intend to use. So far everything Jufes validates works very well.

YOYO @frame chasers I got a 7800x3d over the new i9s/i7s and I'm happy asf about how it runs way cooler and less watts /heat so I'm able to run it on air fan cooling stock next time intel might be smarter when the new x3d chips come out hopefully intel makes a smart move instead of overclocking a CPU 300+$ more money for only 5% performance difference for gaming Don't recommend people to pay x2 in the power bill using intel overheating mess of new processors #team amd for the smart man save money and Watts and time
