I thought I recognized this place! I stayed at that hotel a couple months ago and had a wonderful breakfast made for me. They had the option of a European or Egyptian breakfast, I got Egyptian of course. It was freezing cold at 7am so they brought a space heater over next to my table.
@@EgyptAdventuresTravel it was a very nice and comfortable room with a great view of the pyramids at a super reasonable price! Only problem was the heater wouldn’t turn on and I was really cold the first night (later realized there were no batteries in the remote, haha) and the water heater for the shower was off too. They fixed it quickly once I told them though.
That sounds like a budget accommodation in Egypt (good value for money, and good customer service, even if everything doesn’t work 100% right away). Thanks for sharing your experience!
@@gusgleiter6261 but it did work once I told them, they were easy fixes. The room itself looked really nice, bed extremely comfortable, and very quiet at night with a huge free breakfast at the restaurant in this video. It was nicer than the other budget hotels he’s recommended on this channel.
Thanks! This is one of my favorite new spots to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner before/after hitting up the Pyramids or the GEM! Have a great time planning your trip, and feel free to check out the other 100+ videos I have, all talking about Egypt travel.
Zeeyara is a restaurant where I would trust everything on the menu. Drinks are made from filtered water, all produce is washed in filtered water and is fresh, and everything is prepared in a safe and hygienic setting. It would be for only the most sensitive stomachs that I would recommend avoiding uncooked veggies at a place like Zeeyara. Otherwise for other places, ask questions-how do they prepare veggies for salads? If they don’t answer immediately that they wash them in filtered water, I’d avoid eating raw veggies if you have a sensitive stomach.
Remember that filtered water does not kill the potential bacterias that foreign stomachs aren't used to! Only mineral water is 100% safe.@@EgyptAdventuresTravel
I did a quick search and noticed this was written on a site that makes you pay them a processing fee to get you an e-visa. My guess is they’re doing this to scare people into using their site and paying the extra fee. According to the US State Department, visas are still available upon arrival for US passport holders: travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages/Egypt.html

Nice! How was the hotel itself?

Can you offer any tips about when it's okay to have uncooked veggies (salad) and when to avoid them? (Health concerns)

Hi Gus, I heard that Egypt is no longer offer Visa on Arrivals for US Citizens as of 1/2024, is that true? Please confirm. Thanks
I haven’t heard about any changes-has anyone else heard about this?
