❤❤❤ I freaking love this song. I AM STOKED you are hitting these tunes. They don't make music like this anymore. Clean songs about treating her better and being in love. Everything out now days is raunchy and has nothing to do with loving someone. Even the females only put out stuff I pray my son doesnt think is decent behavior... I am ready for your trip down this rabbit hole. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love this song! Definitely takes me back to my early teenage years! I love that u are just crossing songs off my list left and right!! This song, among many other great songs were on a CD called Monster Ballads! I had it, and listened to it like it was going out of style! I know every word! 😆 Next on the list should be More than Words by Extreme!!
You wouldn't know it from this song or video, but the musicians in this band are all virtuosos. The guitarist and bass player are both Eddie Van Halen level players, and the drummer was amazing as well. Check out the song Addicted to that Rush, and you will be stunned that it is from the same band.
The lead singer Eric Martin wrote this song when he was in high school about a girl he couldn't get out of the friendship area. The band calls it their camp fire song. They just finished up their last tour in August. They are done now after 34 years. This song was #1 in the USA and 16 other countries. They are HUGE in Japan. HUGE. There are 3 to 4 full concerts on You Tube from Japan. All 4 of these musicians are seriously talented. They are all in other bands as well and come back to Mr. Big ever few years. They have had their fights but now are really good friends. Your Emelio Esteves is their drummer who sadly died of Parkinsons in 2018. But toured with them until the end. Their guitar player Paul Gilbert has something crazy like 18 other albums out. Billy Sheehan the bass player used to play with David Lee Roth when he went solo from Van Halen. Plus they had the same manager as Journey. Steve Perry and Eric Martin were the primo singers. Plus the ladies didn't line up until later. They did two opening tours with Rush and Rush liked it because girls started coming to their concerts. This is their second album from 1991. They were like 30 at the time.
@@sandralybrand9425 Emilio Estevez is alive. The musician that this gentleman thought was Emilio has passed away. Pat Torpey passed in 2018. He was the drummer for Mr. Big.
Mr. Big “Wild World” is a remake of the Cat Stevens song by the same name. There’s a lot to analyze lyrically. Musically each is indicative of their respective time, but I can’t say one is better than the other. I was in high school when “To Be With You” was released. All the girls swooned over this song.
Eric Martin , he is one of the best late 80's early 90's voices out there & quite possibly one of the only male vocalists that can go note for note with Sebastian Bach .

The band was Eric Martin, singer, Billy Sheehan, bassist (blonde dude), Paul Gilbert, guitar, and Pat Torpey, drums (the one who looks like Emilio Estevez). All were top of their game, absolute amazing musicians who put out great tunes. Eric Martin was actually older than you think, he just had a baby face.
Thanks for everything bro. Me and my lady are showing love for A.R. I play mind, body, and soul on repeat. Mainly on my way to work, it truly motivates me to go to work.
You've stumbled upon the og of bass guitar, Billy Sheehan. He put this group together after leaving David Lee Roth's excellent solo band. He has an amazing career from 90s pop like this to rock & metal to prog to fusion. Ive been a fan since i first saw him opening up for Yngwie Malmsteen at a small club in the 80s. Blew my teenage mind with his skill.
This band had so much talent! Every member is phenomenal! I think you’d really dig the song Take A Walk! It’s a banger!!! Addicted to that Rush is also great!
These four guys are truly some of the best musicians on the planet. The whole Lean Into It album is fire. I can't even tell you how many copies of that CD I've burned through over the last 30+ years. On the song Daddy Brother Lover Little Boy, Paul (guitar) and Billy (bass) use play their instruments with power drills during the guitar solo. It's wild! Honestly, their whole discography is worth a listen. Everybody's mentioning "Addicted to that Rush" (and with good reason, it's epic), but so are "Nothing But Love", "Just Take My Heart", their cover of "Wild World", "Goin' Where the Wind Blows", and "Take Cover" (which was their only serious foray into the grunge scene). Also, if you're into anime at all, you'll be amazed to find out that "Shine" (the end credits song for every episode of Hellsing) was them, too. Makes sense considering they were bigger in Japan than they ever were in America, but still a crazy trivia fact.
Thanks for taking me back to my big hair memories. One thing we joked about is that every hairband had their love ballad so this kinda qualifies. What I've noticed as a 50 plus chick is that many of the old songs are being sampled in not only other artists songs but lots of commercials and such. Back then we were all being sent to hell for listening to the rock bands and now these are the oldies. Rest homes will never be the same with these generations aging up 😊
“Emilio” is actually drummer Pat Torpey (RIP). The singer is Eric Martin. The band was founded by bassist Billy Sheehan (Talas, David Lee Roth band, Winery Dogs, Sons of Apollo), guitarist Paul Gilbert (Racer X, solo). The band took their name from a song by Free of the same name. The song Wild World is a cover of the original by Cat Stevens. Check out the song Daddy, Brother, lover, little boy. Such a great song!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love it! Just so you know, the blond bass player is Billy Sheehan, who is Royalty....plays with The Winery Dogs now. One of the world's Greatest Bass Players!!!!
Everytime I hear this song,I cry. 26yrs ago I lost my Uncle David,he was serverly beaten up & died from his injuries, his life support was switched off. When we had his unveiling a year later,we sung this song at his grave. Even though he loved his Reggae & Bob Marley. He loved this song. Mr Big is pretty famous worldwide, notably in Japan where they filled the Budokan stadium several times. The singer, Eric Martin, is known for being in this band, but has also edited 10 full solo albums. The bassist, Billy Sheehan, is also known for being a good friend of Steve Vai and has also played with him for years. The guitarist, Paul Gilbert, has been upvoted as the 4th quickest shredder guitarist of all times by Guitar One magazine. He gained fame in the same time as Yngwie Malmsteen (the 3rd quickest shredder guitarist). The drumer, Pat Torpey, had played for The Knack for 1 year before joining Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert for creating Mr Big (1988). He also replaced the regular drumer of Led Zeppelin for a while. Their song "To be with you" can sound very familiar, since it has been #1 in the Billboard Hot 100. The guitarist of Poison, Ritchie Kotzen, has replaced Paul Gilbert from 1997 to 2002. The band reunited in 2009 (with Paul Gilbert coming back as the guitarist). Their last album was edited in 2017. They're still kind of active nowadays.
Their debut album is one of my favorites! I saw them open for Rush twice ❤ Although I still favorite Extreme overMr. Big, I do like this song better than more than words.
This is one of the best songs (and bands/singers) from the hair band era. They have a lot of amazing songs. This is one of the albums that I never get tired of no matter how many times I hear them over the years. Thank you for reacting to them.
Love them. I heard they're coming out with a new album soon. I can't wait. They have a lot of good songs - Green Tinted Sixties Mind, Just Take My Heart, Addicted To That Rush, Alive and Kickin' just to name a few.
The songwriting story behind the song is almost as mindblowing as the song. With so many comments I'm sure someone's already revealed the surprising tale of it's origin.
4 of the most talented artist at their craft. Superband they call it. Each one of these dudes have excelled at what they do and came together for a couple albums I believe of pure damn good music.
I just saw MR BIG on their farewell tour back in February! They are STILL an amazing band! Check out their first video, Addicted to That Rush... And their most recent - - Up on You! Eric Martin (the singer) loves to spread the Mr Big word... Reach out to him and he might chat on a reaction...
The band's name "Mr. Big", a nod to the song by Free. Here's some other song by them: Addicted to That Rush; Wild World; Just Take My Heart; Undertow; Take Cover; Shine; Had Enough; Green Tinted Sixties Mind; Nothing But Love. Enjoy
A singer that is absolutely stunning is Jeff Scott Soto. He replaced Steve Perry of Journey, briefly. He had a small name band in the early 90s called Eyes. Listen to Somebody to Love, which is acoustic, so there is nothing for a vocalist to hide behind. Or Nobody Said it was Easy. JSS is fantastic
I remember watching this videos hundreds of times on MTV and VH1 around like 1991-2. You should react to Van Halen - Right Now...another amazing song and video from MTV's peak era

Saw them years back, during the encore the band rotated playing the instruments and singing. All these guys are super talented.
Mister Big formed in 1988, but this song came out in 1992. This song makes me think of the song More than Words, by Extreme.
Otra reacción a cualquier otra canción de esta maravillosa banda Mr. Big sería grandioso ❤❤❤❤
I remember watching this videos hundreds of times on MTV and VH1 around like 1991-2. You should react to Van Halen - Right Now...another amazing song and video from MTV's peak era
One of my favorite songs by them!!❤❤
