Wake up, kids. 80'$ the best music
💯
This song was released in 1991...
I grew up in the “projects” in Bushwick Brooklyn poor af. This song was the first time I remember having joy with my mother. I lost her in 2023 and my sisters played this to her in hospice before I got there and said she started moving and breathing heavier. She passed 4 minutes after I got there. I will cherish this song for the rest of my life because of my mother
Amber's face going from pure confusion to pure enjoyment is everything!
priceless
Yes! So cool!😂😂
Both of them! So excited to see their reactions!
Mr. Big was the ultimate super group. There was zero dead weight in that band. All 4 members were masters of their craft. All 4 had lovely voices. And they wrote their own songs. ❤❤❤
Amen, I mean how many bands do you see that literally play musical chairs with their instruments when doing cover jams.
Also Love them singing (Wild World) remake from Cat Stevens
In your opinion...
@@Nic560 Actually what AtomicPlayGirl said is fact not opinion. Regardless of whether the music itself is to your taste, all 4 (5 when you count Kotzen) ARE masters of their craft, can all carry a tune and other than the few cover's for fun wrote all their own songs.
@@azspeedster they're all competent musicians as they should be since they're in a band 🤣
Love the heck outta this band and this song.
For something similar, you should totally check out "More Than Words" by Extreme. You will be "shook". Lol
Yes!
Most definitely 👍
Great song - though it kind of ticked them off that Extreme - by all accounts a hard-rockin' group - were known first and foremost for a slow-moving ballad. People heard "More Than Words" and assumed that was their whole vibe.
yes thats what that song reminds me of!
try a lot of Extreme cause Nuno is a great guitarist. "Do you want to play with me" is a great song.
The expression on Amber's face during the first 45 seconds of the song is PRICELESS!!!
@@sheiladrucker6872 I'm pretty sure she thought the song was about something else...
That was classic
Vocals is Eric martin
@@TucBroderThe call biggie smalls, biggie smalls. But post what they call this guy biggie biggie biggie i'm still a biggie smart
@@allendixon7700 Are you having a stroke?
November 1991 To Be With You came out, I was 11 years old, it'll be 33 years this year, crazy, still a great song though.
This may be the greatest reaction ever. Eric Martin is super underrated. The rest of the band are top notch too. Masters at their craft
Love this song. This was BY FAR their biggest hit, hitting #1 and going Gold in 1992. If you go down this rabbit hole, do "Just Take My Heart", "Wild World" (a cover of a Cat Stevens song), "Take Cover", "Green Tinted Sixties Mind" and "Superfantastic". The lead vocalist's name is Eric Martin. And if you want another great 90s band with a fantastic lead singer, check out Live (pronounced like in "alive"), and their song "Lightning Crashes".
or the other great song by Live - Dolphin's Cry
@@michaelmardling3152 Or Lakini's Juice - the guitar riff in that song is SICK.
Live had multiple great songs in the 90s.
Live has so many great songs! "The Beauty of Grey.", "Pain Lies on the Riverside." and "I Alone" to name just a few. I finally got to see Live in concert a few years back and Oh my, awesome!!
Mine from Live would have to be The Dam at Otter Creek, although Lightning Crashes is a beautiful song too.
There is a "pre-cursor" to this song, that song being "More Than Words" by Extreme.
Amber won't like the lead vox as much, but you'll both still love the song.
To answer Amber's question, yes "To Be With You" made Mr. Big more or less a one hit wonder.
I'm trying to get them to react to Get The Funk out first, as I'm sure that they'll both love that, it's such a fun song and video.
Add Hole Hearted!
Mr Big was not a one hit wonder. This song just happened to make the radio. You must not have grown up back then but most of the hard rock/ metal music didn’t get airplay…which is why the “hair bands” are all known for their ballads.
If you really admired the bands…their songs were played on underground or satellite radio stations.
Addicted to that rush was their first hit…and it was amazing
@@GNXXRAY "Mr Big was not a one hit wonder. This song just happened to make the radio."
yeah, they were and this was it.. you cant really put mr big up with names like "queen" or "david bowie" or "michael jackson" because they were constant hitmakers.. and im not saying they were bad.. i liked mr big then and i do so today.. still a one hit wonder though.
Yes “More Than Words” by Extreme…..great kind of similar song.
Eric Martin's voice definitely makes Amber eargasm.
They are truly the transition between 80's & 90's rock ballads.
Mr. Big is famous for this ballad... but the band rocked - they had 3 exceptional musicians (bassist Billy Sheehan, guitarist Paul Gilbert, and drummer Pat Torpey) and a great singer, Eric Martin.
The band debuted in 1989, but it was the 2nd album 'Lean into it' that made them stars in 1991, going platinum in the US (1 million copies) ... the 3rd album 'Bump ahead' was a huge hit worldwide in 1993... Guitarist Paul Gilbert felt that their 1996 album 'Hey man' was a bit too commercial, so he quit soon after. Guitarist Richie Kotzen joined Mr. Big in 1999 for the album 'Get over it' and 'Actual size' in 2001... However, disagreements led to Mr. Big breaking up soon after.
In 2010, guitarist Paul Gilbert reunited w/ the original Mr. Big to release the album 'What if' .
Tragically, original drummer Pat Torpey passed away from Parkinson's disease in 2018 (R.I.P.) and the last Mr. Big album in 2017 ('Defying gravity') had been recorded (mostly) without him.
To date, Mr. Big has opted not to continue after the death of drummer Pat Torpey...
Other Mr. Big singles - 'Green tinted sixties mind' ... 'Wild world' (Cat Stevens cover)... 'Addicted to that rush'... 'Alive & kickin' ... 'Take cover'
They also opened for Rush on either the "Hold Your Fire" or "Presto" tours, I can't recall which.
@@medmar76 That would be 'Presto' tour - 1989 -'90
You can't forget the live performance of Daddy, Brother, Lover and Little Boy
Hear, Hear!!! You, @Sumon Jamal hath provided a most excellent and informative comment. I could not have said it better myself, so thanks a bunch and ROCK ON Y’ALL 😜🤘🏻🤘🏻💯🍻🥁✌🏻
Billy Sheenan is killing it in Sons of Apollo now. Got s chance to see Eric Martin sing a few years back with Avantasia. He filled in for Klaus Meine who couldn't make the tour. Now, Eric is doing solo tour.
Mr. Big are sometimes labelled as a one-hit wonder for "To Be with You", but they have maintained consistent popularity in the Japanese market throughout their career.
Haha. Japan
Outside of Japan , everyone labels them a kind of 1 hit wonder. And that's being extremely generous.
“They we’re big in Japan”. How do you say they were a one hit wonder without saying they were a one hit wonder. Look, there’s nothing wrong with being a one hit wonder! It’s ok, really. I like plenty of acts that only had one “hit” but made lots of music I enjoy.
@@spinningclio technically jimi hendrix is a 1 hit wonder. all along the watchtower was his only chart topping song reaching 20. and thats not even his song its a bod dylan cover.
I remember being on the bus senior year (1999) on a field trip, long after this song came out and this came on the radio. Y’all, EVERY single person on that bus sang along, metal heads, hip hop heads, chaperones and the bus driver 😂 It was the one song you loved no matter what you were into
Their first album came out in '89 titled, "Mr. Big" They are still touring!
Great comments from everyone, but must not forget the great Billy Sheehan on bass. A bass virtuoso
And now with Richie Kotzen and Mike Portnoy in the Winery Dogs. 😉
Billy Sheehan was also in a band called Talas with Dave Constantine and Paul Vargas back in the the 70s and early 80s in Buffalo New York they played alot of local bars.
Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert were classically trained guitarist. I also believe both attended Berkley School of Music in Boston and I believe Billy teaches music theory at Berkley or had for awhile.
One of my favorite love songs for years. Glad you found it. Extreme’s “More Than Words” and Bryan Adams’ “Have You Ever Loved a Woman” are great, too. Similar time frame. And the Spanish guitar on the Bryan Adams song can’t be beat.
Is it a love song??
Yup. From the movie Don Juan DeMarco (1995) starting Johnny Depp, Marlin Brandi and Faye Dunaway.
Pretty much any Bryan Adams ballad. One of our national treasures! 🇨🇦
Love that song, one of Bryan Adams best for me, along with his collaboration with Rod Stewart and sting.
Extreme’s Hole Hearted also
Nobody ever mentions the incredible sense of humor injected into the performance. Made it all the more enjoyable.
This song is one of the best love songs ever made ❤
Another great mid to late 80's hair band was Firehouse "Don't Treat Me Bad" - Love it!
Love of a lifetime… my first… well ya know
Yes don't treat me bad is a good song however this song is lame. Be with you is lame.
@@sputnikalgrim they already reacted to Love of a lifetime.
Also Firehouse Love of a Lifetime
@@sputnikalgrim That is a good one too. I just really like the video from Don't Treat Me Bad. It is quintesential 80's hair band video , girls , flames etc I Love it.
🤟🏼💕🎶Love this song!🎶. Now it’s time to do Queensryche’s ballad. “Silent Lucidity”. 🎸🎶
Yeah go down the Queensryche hole
Heck yeah!
Jordan said he ain't in to slow songs.
@@JWCFB ahhh yes he did say that but he has liked some before and he likes songs with orchestral stuff so there is a chance he would like this and we can continue to have hope and excitement on this thread 😀
Mr. Big was very popular in Japan in the early 90s - and I was actually pen pals with a Japanese girl during that time (I was 12, she was 15) and she talked about her love of Mr. Big in every letter she wrote to me! I remember getting into this song because it was also on the radio a lot here in the U.S., but I never got into the band other than that.
You could pick ANY song off their first two albums and have a hit. Their live show was amazing.
This was my fav that year.. coming out of highschool. Yep, I'm old. Still love it!! Still have to check out Extreme "Whole Hearted", Damn Yankees "High Enough", Great White "Once Bitten Twice Shy"...Mr Big just reminded me of the old mixed-tape I had made lol
This ^
Yes I 2nd the suggestion of Great White
I think they will enjoy High Enough too!
Oooh, High Enough is a good one.
Me too!!😃mix tapes were the shit back then...everyone had at least one!!lol😂
My mix tape also had those exact same groups!!🤘
I remember this song during the MTV video days.....you should hear Extreme "More Than Words".
It’s been 7 months and the rabbit hole for Mr Big is still unexplored.
ADDICTED TO THAT RUSH….
Some of the greatest musicians ever in one band
Also GREEN TINTED SIXTIES MIND!
So agree, they're too stuck on led zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc. I've been requesting level 42 for over a year. They need too broaden their horizons on music.
It’s hard to describe how good Mr. BIG was. They’re one of the unique rock band ever, good voices, virtuoso at their instruments, weird chord progression (for a rock band), underrated drummer, underrated vocalist, they have some of the best ballad songs, etc.
One of the best band on planet for sure
This was the very last of the hairmetal era. Early 92 was already pushing it LOL. That being said, it went out with a bang cause this was huge
This song went to #1 in 1992 for 3 straight weeks and went GOLD. A 90s classic
One of the most underrated bands of the lates 80s-early 90s. Got lost in the wash of the end of hair metal and onset of grunge. 4 absolute great musicians. Also 4 great guys who had a lot of fun. RIP Pat.
Love this song. It is the perfect representation of two lost souls finding each other. Just the line, "You can make my life worthwhile, I can make you start to smile." That says it all.
Eric Martin's voice is the Bomb!!! This song never gets old!!! Love Love Love Mr. Big!!
I highly recommend the album "TMG" (Tak Matsumoto Group), where Eric does lead vocals.
@@Ripplin YES!!! EM is my tied for fave singer ever with Perry so I am well versed in his solo and other work, LOVE that record.
Lead singer Eric Martin wrote this song years before Mr. Big was formed, when he was still in HS.
Mr. Big was a "supergroup" composed of musicians who each already had a rep.
For example...
Guitarist Paul Gilbert was from Racer X.
Bassist Billy Sheehan was a freakishly amazing virtuoso -- known for playing his bass using Van Halen style techniques.
It’s so funny. Amber reacted like so many of the girls I was in 7th grade with when this and a number of other “hair band” softer songs broke out.
Pretty cool actually, brings me back to a time I wish I could return to. Unfortunately, we can never go home again.
Her reaction was priceless lmao. Awesome review of a great song.
Two of the most underrated musicians on the planet. Billy Sheehan on bass and Paul Gilbert on lead guitar.
I dont think billy sheehan is underrated. Paul for sure he is, being one of the most amazing guitar players alive. he doesnt get enough recognition
They are both amazing!
Folks, this is an incredible band, musically and vocally! Wait till you hear ADDICTED TO THAT RUSH - way on the other side of the spectrum from this song. Drummer for Mr. Big, the late Pat Torpey is one of my greatest drumming heroes, full stop!
Mr Big is a Group of Virtuoso.. legit voice of Eric, Slamming Bass of Billy, Legendary guitar play by Paul and Crunchy Drum play by Pat.. catch em on their final tour end of this year and next year in EU and US.. you'll never regret it..
I LOOOOOOVE his voice. I can listen to this song over and over again. I wish Mr. Big had gotten more attention during the wild big hair band days. They were one of the best bands out there.l
Whoever picked this song Thank you, This is such a good song😊
"Just Take My Heart" is another great ballad .. they were such an incredibly talented band ..
Both their faces when Eric Martin (vocalist) started singing 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember when this song was EVERYWHERE. I don’t just mean on the radio. They played (and still occasionally play) this at the grocery store.
It went to #1 in 15 countries. It was a massive hit in 1991. It was that summer song that you couldn’t get away from even if you wanted to.
Now you have to hear the Band " Cinderella - Don't know what you got till it's Gone!
Love this song. Your next hair band reaction should be ‘Heaven’ by Warrant. I’ve noticed that you’ve never reacted to Collective Soul. If you check them out ‘Shine,’ ‘December,’ ‘The World I Know,’ ‘Heavy,’ ‘Gel’ or ‘Wasting Time’ would be good ones to listen to.
OMG, I love this song. So underrated! I'm ecstatic that you loved it.
This song still hits and is still in rotation on my playlist 💯🔥🔥🔥
In the late 80's early 90's the rise of MTV's Unplugged series influenced bands to start doing acoustic songs and releasing them as singles. You should check out Extreme "More than Words", Guns n Roses " Patience", Tesla "Love Song" (Five Man Acoustical Band) live version; and Lastly Jon Bon Jovi & Richie Sambora doing "Wanted Dead or Alive" live from the 1989 MTV Music Video Awards which inspired MTV to create the Unplugged series to start with.
I absolutely LOVE "Patience" by Guns 'n Roses; one of the first things I wanted to learn on guitar. "Love Song" (Tesla) and "Wanted Dead or Alive" are outstanding also...
I really enjoyed that era
Should do Damn Yankees "High Enough", talk about some harmony, and some rock... Y'all would love it!
80s supergroup! Yes! ❤
Yes!!!
Awesome song but my favorite is Come Again.
High Enough! Damn Yankees...YES!!!
Shaw and Blades together is a dream come true
The harmonies on this track are EVERYTHING. So tight.
Mr big addicted to the rush ,rocking side you will be shook
I was a junior in high school when this came out. It's one of my favorite songs to this day. And yes the hair carried over into the 90's. This along with More Than Words by Extreme were incredible hits and staples of the decade.
“More than Words” by Extreme should be next please…came out in a similar time period…my first boyfriend requested it for me on the radio…it was special then, and I think you’ll love it now! ❤️ PS. I LOVE the song by Mr. Big…I was a teenage in the 90’s - this song was everything.
Yes! Me too! I wish they had more popular music but I feel like bands like Mr. Big, Extreme, and Queensrÿche suffered from timing since the music of theirs we are familiar with came out right when grunge hit the scene. And we all know how that took over. I’m so glad I hit my teens when the 90s began though. Best decade to be a teenager, in my totally biased opinion 😊
Extreme was an awesome band that is largely forgotten.
THIS!!!!
Do this one next.....it's even better. 😁
Love that song
They recently did that song.
Goin' Where the Wind Blows, is another acoustic song with great vocals and harmonies to go along with another guitar solo. Amber is going to melt with this one too !
Love that song!
This!
Mr.Big is coming back together for a tour in 23...The band is super popular in Asia and Europe...
One of my all time favorite bands, Pat Torpey (R.I.P.) is in my TOP 5 list of favorite drummers. A MONSTER!!! This was called a "Super Group". Where each musician is a famous player from another band, or a badass musician in their own right. This still goes on in Rock and some amazing sounds have come out of these bands. Eric Martin has an AMAZING voice...very soulful. Billy Sheehan (Talas, David Lee Roth, Winery Dogs) ...is like the Eddie Van Halen on bass...but his own style...Paul Gilbert is unreal. They ALL sing too. Most of their music is heavy-funky-Fat vocals...this song was written by Eric and didn't want to show the band...but they LOVED it! It to this date is their biggest hit. Next song? "Addicted To That Rush"...first song, first album.
Supergroup lol. Thanks for the hard laugh. Billy is a great bassist.
@@dranderson6071 and paul gilbert is one of the best guitarists, though not "famously" known to be the best but all of the great guitarists would label him one
Excellent reaction 😍 Another great song that shaped some of our souls.
Since you've gotten this far, next on the list can't be anything but Extreme, More Than Words.
One of the BEST songs of my youth.
Love it so much.
Back in a time..when there was a sense of humor in music videos.. too.
The guitarist, Paul Gilbert and the bassist, Billy Sheehan were the most iconic duo. You gotta listen to Daddy, brother, lover, little boy. They kill it with the power drill solo
The lead singer has a fantastic voice!
Paul Gilbert is one of the most underrated guitar players in the business, his skill is right up there with Alex Lifeson of Rush. Paul Gilbert also leads a rock band called Racer X that's big in Japan.
Omg. Don't be foolish
I wouldn't say underrated at all, Paul was called the lock nut monster and more from the school of players like Yngwie Malmsteen and although legendary Alex cannot play like those guys.
People who know guitar do not underrate Paul, he's at the top of the top. I do agree that he is not as much of a household name as other players in the same talent tier (EVH, SRV, Jimi, etc.).
His replacement, Richie Kotzen is also a great guitarist and singer. He's got a voice, like Chris Cornell. His solo stuff is good, as well as his stuff with Adrian Smith.
My first concert was Mr. Big opening for Rush in 1991 I think. Baltimore Arena!
Its funny you're reacting to something for the first time that was a global HIT 30+ years ago. Its no surprise it was, and you are feeling it first hand. So cool.
I keep coming back to this reaction because how surprised you both were from the beginning. Lol
One of my favorite bands *Mr Big* definitely has versatility. A song that comes to mind from them is *Green Tinted Sixties Mind* a song that I know *Amber* would dig and *Jay* I think you would dig *Just Take My Heart.* And a list of some of their other great tunes *; Daddy Brother Little Boy, Wind Me Up, Addicted To That Rush, Alive And Kickin', * and *Shine.* Oh The lead singer's name is *Eric Martin* great vocalist. *Love ❤️ Peace ☮️ and Happiness 😃 Y'all !!*
Yes..Daddy, brother, little boy...otherwise known as the electric drill song, lol. They definitely need to check that song out!
All of these are great suggestions, but I think Green Tinted Sixties Mind is the one to go with!
Can’t Live Without Your Love and Affection- Nelson. Nelson were two brothers led band that were along the same music genre as Mr. big. Love and affection was a huge banger and pretty sure you both would really like that one too! Great reaction to Mr. big!
The only 3rd generation singers I'm aware of. Ozzie Nelson was their grandfather, Ricky Nelson their dad.
GREAT SUGGESTION!!👍😃❣️
Ricky/Rick Nelson's 'Poor Little Fool" & 'Garden Party' and then (Twins Matthew and Gunnar) Nelson's 'Love & Affection' or 'After the Rain'.
Trivia: Nelson has celebrity on their maternal side as well. Among other relatives, their maternal uncle is actor Mark Harmon.
Mark Harmon and his wife took care of the children for a while after their father's death and their mother was having a hard time.
Dang, taking us Gen X babies back! This song was so big my freshman year of high school, so it had to be about ‘92 or ‘93. My friend and I used to hang out in her room and sing the chorus loudly, practicing our harmonies, much to the chagrin of her mother and siblings 😂
I am begging you to check out Queensrÿche, “Silent Lucidity” if you haven’t. Another song from around 1992-Queensrÿche looks like a “hair band” but they were more progressive rock. I loved it so much I bought the cassette single and think I literally wore out the tape to the point that it warped because I listened to it so much. The B side of the single I believe was “Jet City Woman,” which is another good one. Geoff Tate’s voice is elite.
Edit: Watching this video now once again makes me realize how old I am-the hair tho!
I was in university when this came out. I still have my cd
Gen X rocks!
Queensryche was an amazing bad, once DeGarmo left the wheels came off. Operation Mindcrime is one of the greatest rock records of all time and still SO relevant in today's world.
Can you make your reunion happen and film your singing together on TikTok ? That would be next trend.
Eric Martin has a voice tone in a million, such a unique beauty raspy voice. Although, all musicians here are all class and amazing.
From the same era, you should listen to Silent Lucidity by Queensryche, More Than Words by Extreme, or Don't Know What You Got by Cinderella (Tom Keifer has one of the best raspy voices).
Yes! I’m so glad someone else asked for “Silent Lucidity.”
Heartbreak Station by Cinderella too
Silent lucidity is a great song but from the early 90s. Grew up with all the 80s glam and was so grateful for the Seattle grunge Era to do away with the glam
@@ill4mz54 Don'tKnow What You Got came out in 1988, but Silent Lucidity and More Than Words came out in 1990, and To Be With You in 1990.
I adore Mr. Big! Eric Martin's voice is dreamy isn't it? Thank you for this awesome reaction! Hearing them sing this live is a treat too! I highly recommend you finding a live version to listen to. RIP drummer Pat Torpey (playing tambourine) who passed away a few years back. Mr. Big has some great songs and definitely worth a deeper dive into their catalog! "Take Cover," "Alive and Kickin'," and "Just take my Heart" are just to name a few. Give them a try!
I'm biased cuz I was there front row, but the Live in San Franciso version is my fave
I always thought Eric was one of the best. Loved that raspy tone in his voice yet its so smooth. One of my faves.
Don't let this song fool you. These boys can ROCK!!!
I have been a huge Eric Martin fan since hearing the Eric Martin Band in the 80’s. The opened for all the rock acts that came through San Francisco (Sammy Hagar, Night Ranger). They had two songs that got some radio play (Don’t Stop and Sucker for a Pretty Face) I think Amber would love Ten Feet Tall as well.
The band broke up before they could record a second album.
Eric did a few solo albums that showcased his voice but didn’t amount to much. Listen to Confess, These Are The Good Times, Just One Night.
Then Mr. Big got together. To Be With You was a song Eric had been toying with for a while.
He also did a band called TMG. Great rock album. I feel like you could pick anything he sings on and couldn’t go wrong.
I actually met him at a Best Buy while I was working there. He came in looking for a Harry Potter movie. After he asked if I could help him I said your Eric Martin! I’d be happy to help you! Nicest guy.
GREAT SONG! Another great one from around this time with a similar vibe: MORE THAN WORDS by Extreme.
I wish I could go back in time and hear this song new, too. Love her reaction.
This was a great reaction video! Good job!
After Extreme's "More Than Words" everyone had to have an acoustic song/hit. Imho this was the second best.
The guitarist Paul Gilbert is amongst the absolute best to ever play. Also the bass player Billy Sheehan is one of the very best. This song obviously does not showcase those virtuoso skills though.
Both monster players, that is for sure...
Paul Gilbert was one of Buckethead's teachers.
Sheehan is Def in the conversation for best ever.
@@markspinello5015 You could put Mr Big into the "Super Group" Category because of those 2 Cats
One song that shows the virtuoso skills is Colorado Bulldog by Mr Big. Paul, Billy and Pat (RIP) were amazing together.
You all are wonderful
Hair band metal ballads were the best! They knew how to make us big haired girls cry! You definitely need to dive into these! Extreme “More Than Words”, Warrant “Heaven”, Cinderella “Don’t Know What You’ve Got Til It’s Gone” are a few I love, but there are tons! 🥰
God this brings back the feels. I was a sophomore in HS and was madly in love with my future and now ex wife. Just a mixed bag of emotions in this one
*White Lion - "When The Children Cry" is another song from this era you guys will absolutely love.*
Agreed. This song by White Lion was powerful and popular.
Another group from that era that would be fun to check out would be "the Nelson's."
You're not seriously going to suggest Mike Tramp's horrific voice after Eric Martin, are you?
@@Incomudro1963 I don't think Mile Tramp has a horrific voice, so yes I am.
Just take my Heart.... Wild World... Two goodies from MR.BIG
This is my teenage years in one beautiful masterful song. I still love it as much as I did at 18 xx
"Just Take My Heart When You Go" is another by Mr Big you will like. They are an awesome band. They did a remake of "Wild World" that is great also.
His vocals, 💜 that was and will always be a beautiful love song..
Green Tinted Sixties Mind - Mr. Big. Another one of their best.
Wow. It's been at least 20 years since I've heard this song. It is just as beautiful as the first time I heard it in my early 20's.
There are two types of underrated when talking about guitarists. One is the Alex Lifeson kind where everyone wonders why he's not mentioned next to the likes of Hendrix and Page and then there are the ones you never heard of. Paul Gilbert is an insanely good guitarist, seen that guy finger tap like he's EVH's little brother or something.
Paul gilbert is pretty well known.
Rush!
Paul is better than EVH
They are primarily a rock band. This was their ballad and their biggest song.
Lead singer is Eric Martin.
My FAVORITE Amber reaction! :)
This went to # 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart on February 29th 1992 and spent three weeks at the top. This is Mr.Big's only US # 1 hit. This was a massive hit when I was 18 and now I'm 48, much older but the song is an evergreen.
Absolutley love y'all reactions. Y'all are my favorite couple reactors. Another band and song that I really think y'all will LOVE is by a band called Extreme and the song is called, More than Words. Since you guys really loved this song I think y'all will love this one. I hope to see y'all react to it soon. Be blessed 💞
“Alive and kickin” an unbelievable good rock n roll so g by Mr. Big. They are considered a “supergroup “. All members were already successful elsewhere.
What a great tune! Reminds of a girl I had a thing for
Great song by a great, musically proficient band that was one of the top in their time.
Yes, this was their power ballad that every 80’s metal band was required (sic) to play. 😂
If you want to hear what they’re really about check out Take Cover. Great tune!!!
Oh man, y’all really need to check out Extreme, “ More Than Words”…But, This was Mr Big’s biggest hit. Their other song, “Just Take My Heart “ is also a great song 😎
So many power ballads from the 80's and 90's and they all hit your heart in ways no other type of songs can. This generation has no clue about the meaning of these types of love songs. I think this generation would be less angry and into themselves if they had songs like these. Good job recognizing good music. Another good song is "more than words" by Extreme.
🙋 *Aquí los latinos!*
No me pregunten porqué, pero cuando veo millenials escuchando y DISFRUTANDO de la verdadera buena música, siento como una pequeñita esperanza del futuro pero no entiendo bien porqué jajaja saludos ✋
i cant find any music of this era that can move a person soul, God Bless old skool.
I'm glad you two heard this song. It's soft yet powerful, especially when you hear the lyrics. It came out in '91, and to this day, it's one of the greatest anthems for us guys who are always friendzoned and have to watch the loves of our life wade through life with these guys that treat them like crap. Yet we stand by their side as their friend, truly caring and loving them, hoping that one day, we will be the next to be with them, and they will realize we were meant for them all along.
