    Akis, thank you so much. After researching many recipes for this dish, yours stood out from the rest. You’re also awesome to watch. I made this for my family yesterday and it was to die for. The nicest thing we’ve eaten for ages! You’ve absolutely ignited a new passion for Greek food. I’ll be making your mushroom casserole next. Thanks again!

    Hi Akis, this looks delicious, we will try it! I have a question though. We do not like to leave the head on the shrimp while cooking or serving them with the head still on. Is it necessary for the flavour to leave it on, or can you remove it and then cook it in the sauce? Thanks, Petra

    • @alexduma3113
      @alexduma3113 8 років тому +2

      +TheMermaid I think he keeps the head on so the shrimp doesn't come out dry.

      i am not a professional chef but i can tell you that shrimp saganaki was created and named to be a seafood dish. I don't believe the flavors and the texture of the meal will be the same. Maybe you can try using the chicken that they make extra thin but the true flavor comes from the shrimp mixed with the rest of the ingredients. my opinion only..no disrespect :)

      @@akispetretzikisen I had figured it out a few months ago! :) maybe back in 2016 your director should used solid color kitchen towels, those pink checker towel just jump out of the screen for the viewers :) now your current kitchen lab only used black or gray towels, it's much better to match your decor. I also notice the brown square IKEA plate, because I have the same plate lol

    It doesn't qualify as the authentic Greek shrimp saganaki experience until you start dipping good quality bread (with sourdough starter preferably) in that heavenly tomato-feta-shrimp flavoured sauce (wash it down with an extra-cold beer).

    Aaaah... Shrimp... My old cousin lives in Louisiana and I stayed there for a summer. She took me to have bbqued shrimp which is like shrimp in butter sauce, it was heavenly, But she accidentally made some craw dads at her house and didn't take out the trash in time so it somehow cured the wood on the inside of her fancy built in trash can... Shudder... That was not a good smell as far as I know it still smells And that was 15 yrs ago
