    🧗Bob & Karri are 2 ordinary, 50 somethings that decided to sell everything and say goodbye to traditional living in favor of RV Life. They started making videos for friends and family and posting to UA-cam. After meeting several “UA-camrs” they were disgusted with what they were clued into. They now make videos to dispel all the nonsense and call out FAKE RV LIFE. They share honest advice and a clear love for the RV lifestyle, all with an underlying message that YOU can do this!

    Happy anniversary! ❤ Yeah, I saw an awning completely flip over and go through a roof during a freak wing storm once. Also, in regards to keys--- take a piece of cardboard and cover your Vin number on your dash because whether it's an rv or a vehicle, thiefs can use it to have a dealership send them a copy of your factory keys from what I understand. ❤

    Happy Anniversary! We will be hitting 49 on Halloween. Great advice about awnings. We were next to the campground preacher's rv and his awning was left out during a rainstorm and was ripped out of the sidewall. I almost lost it when I heard the adjuster saying it was an act of God and was not covered. Time to change occupation??

    Great video, and once again, I agree fully with what you never do. Since I have a louder than normal diesel, one thing I also never do is idle my truck for extended time since neighbors may have windows open and don't want to hear or smell diesel at 5am.

    I just returned from camping trip. Had a beautiful river front site. My sister and I were sitting around the campfire with my two little dogs enjoying the view. A lady and her Rottweiler walked over in the empty site next to us to see the view. I controlled my dogs the best I could (protecting their space). When this lady decided to walk through our site with her dog to get closer to the water!! She was literally 10 feet from us! Didn’t care!! Also had a nice older couple come in on the other side of us, left their awning lights on all night (which admittedly I have done also but with dimmers) . They realized the error and shut them off the second night. I will be more careful with mine in the future as well. Thanks for video and Happy Anniversary!!

    I completely understand what you are saying about not blocking the road.. and working in teams.. we had an experience of a "Karen" yelling at me to hook up the jeep.. however my husband was getting ready to do it.. and I can't drive due to being disabled.( epileptic). So I haven't been able to drive for 10 yrs now.. my doctors and the state say sorry you can't do that safely.. so be mindful even if you are a team not all teams are created equal . Our lives haven't stopped, just done differently.. Stay 😎 and blessed❤

    Funny story... One time we were driving down the road and I noticed the front door on the camper was open. I remember putting our hamper full of dirty clothes next to the door and I panicked!!! 😂 Thankfully it was still in the same spot with all the clothes still in it. Could've been bad! 😂 Great list! ❤

    Happy Anniversary, as far as drinking the water from the fresh water tank or coming from the park water hook up. It all depends how you maintain your water system and what kind of filtering system you have. Our water filtering system and soft water system is 100% safe to drink. If you don't have a good filtering system, and you are no uncertain to drink the water, why would you wash the dishes or take a shower with that water? I do agree, if you don't maintain the water system, don't drink and use it for anything.

    Yep, plan your trip. I recently did a trip plan for three days travel, and thought It was fine. I decided to plan fuel as a last minute thing (can't remember why exactly) and was shocked to discover that the distance between two small towns on the map I was planning to get fuel were right on the limits of my range. I think I would have been fine, but it certainly would have caused some anxiety. I did manage to find a fuel station in the middle of that stretch which is now a planned stop, but if I hadn't looked I most likely would have driven right by it.
    I'll add another one, and that is to never, ever, rely on navigation apps on your phone in remote areas. Once you go outside of cell service areas those apps don't work too well. Some apps do let you download the maps, but many of them only hold the map for the current route that is programmed. If you divert or use it to plan only daily routes you might find yourself with a non-functioning nav app. Always have a dedicated GPS suitable for your needs (eg very high vehicles may need a commercial truck GPS, or you may need off-road maps in remote areas since national park track and private right of way road often are not included on the maps supplied by Google or similar) or use proper paper maps.

    You guys are about an hour from where I grew up. Love the shirt. NC people are the best. I've been back twice since I went full time to see family, recharge, and rediscover southern charm. One issue you didn't specifically address is cutting through campsites. Although that could fall under keeping the peace. Just spent a week at a national park campground and I saw it happen almost every day. Has this rule become more liberal or was I just there during a bad week? I don't have a problem with people cutting through an unassigned spot. We all like shortcuts. But would you cut through someone's yard just because they are tenants and not owners? I'm sorry, but if you're walking through my site, my suspicious nature presumes you're scoping out an opportunity. Love your matter-of-fact down to earth videos. And believe me I've seen enough of the real world. You don't need to film it. Happy Anniversary!

    We carry a Motor Carrier atlas in our truck. Yes it may be overkill for a Chevy Colorado and a 25' trailer but if you use truck routes you don't end up with any surprises where you have to back up 3 miles because of a low bridge.

    I disagree on the water thing. If you sanitize the tank periodically it should not be an issue. The PEX lines themselves are no different from a modern house.
    I sanitize the tank and lines every 6 months and we have a 3 stage filter for all water from the tank or shore water. We also have an Acuva UV filter at the sink for drinking water. We have never had an issue with it, no smells, no bad taste and neither us or our pets never been sick from it either.
    BTW, we are at Diamond Caverns right now and its just as you described it...... This place could use a lot of love for sure. We don't really give a hoot about the "amenities" since we tend to not use them anyway. We will be checking out the Mammoth Cave National park while we are here, really looking forward to that. For us what matters is can we fit our hilariously oversized rig in it and is the site somewhat level and we have found both here. We got a decent pretty level site and seems like a quiet park.

    • @liferedesigned
      @liferedesigned  2 місяці тому

      Enjoy the Caverns - they are well with the trip! If you take a drive, check out Lost River Cave. Was a great experience. The TT park is okay for the hookups.
      As for the water, you may very well be the exception as most people don’t do proper maintenance- we have seen the holding tanks full of mold, was enough for us to make it a hard pass 🤣🤣
