    I work at an Italian restaurant and i have to see coworkers and people eat horrible processed food on the daily. My favorite is when the scrawny younger workers proudly exclaim i can eat as much of this and not gain a pound, its like yeah i'm sure you couldn't gain any muscle with that crap either, congrats on not getting enough micro nutrients? The sad thing about the (SAD) diet is most people don't know how awful it is I've seen so many people blow up in their mid-20's after drinking and eating bad and the fact is most of them don't know how bad processed foods, sugars and oils are on our bodies. Our generation needs a PSA of more fruit and veggies less cheese and processed junk, and exercise or we will be dieing sooner than our parents generation.

    For those looking for a super easy way to add more vegetables to their diet, I highly recommend investing in a high quality blender (i.e. Vitamix). Just toss some kale, carrots, bok choy, etc. in there, add a little fruit, maybe some protein powder, and a fat like coconut milk (if you are drinking this as a meal replacement; you need fat to absorb the vitamins). I just turned 30, but all the vegetables I've added to my diet over the past few months has led to me having more stable energy and making PRs in the gym. Of course, adding more vegetables to your diet doesn't mean you can still eat lots of junk food, but blending your vegetables greatly reduces the prep time and effort needed to eat vegetables.

    Hey Alex, I think you should reflect a little on what you said in this video. Yes, consuming high amounts of fat can/does increase certain kinds of cholesterol, but on the other hand, high dietary cholesterol has no causal impact on blood cholesterol. Cholesterol is, among other, a transport mechanism for fat. If you consume a lot of fat at once, you need a lot of transport-molecules. This is not necessarily a bad thing. The study you linked is very old and feature a diet that consist of high amounts of fat COMBINED with high amounts of carbs. Newer studies show that triglycerides levels or molecule sizes seem to be more important. The studies are based on the observation of cholesterol at inflamed areas. The cholesterol is a symptom, not the cause of the inflammation. You should reduce inflammation (the cause) in the first place. You are essentially arguing that everyone who follows a Ketogenic diet is unhealthy, which is simply not true. There are lots of new and great studies on this topic, which you seem to ignore. You have a solid base of knowledge on many things. But biochemistry is a very complex matter, you shouldn't jump to conclusions too fast. This does NOT mean that you shouldn't have a basis of vegetables and fruit. Processed foods are generally bad.
    We have some fantastic UA-cam Channels in Germany on those topics you named. They explain in great details why SARMS are bad for you and how. But they also explain why a fat-based diet can be good for you .

      Yeah it's good but only if you also eat enough fruits and vegetables. Also, it depends on where you're at, if your appetite is very low and you're struggling to eat mostly healthy foods, you can slowly transition by incorporating more and more good foods into your diet and swapping the bad ones for more healthy alternatives. What I would recommend is that you use an app called Cronometer and track your food in the app for at least 2 weeks to figure out if you are getting enough calories. The app will also track your macronutrients (protein, carbs and fats) and it will also track your micronutrients (vitamins and minerals). If you start using the app, you will realize how easy it is to actually hit the targets each day and get at least 100% of everything, and even as a vegan it is very doable, it doesn't matter what your budget is, everyone can eat healthy if they have the will to do it. Also, the message from the video is mostly that you must not eat too many processed foods, meaning that if you have the choice between a banana or a piece of whole grain bread, you must choose the banana, but the whole grain bread is still healthy also, it's just that it tends to contain a lot of sodium in it also. But like I said, it depends on your appetite, if you are a skinny guy struggling to eat enough, it doesn't matter if you eat tons of pasta and whole grain bread as long as your processed foods are actually healthy, and as your appetite grows, you can become more and more healthy. The problem most skinny guys face is trying to eat 100% clean and failing because their appetite is too low and never increases so you need to take it easy in the beginning to let your body have time to adjust to your new way of life.

    I’m 19 with a freaky fast metabolism. I’ve gone vegan and vegetarian for months at a time and have cut out all processed foods. The issue is I practically evaporator muscle mass. The second I introduce junk food and a more “meathead” diet I literally blow up. The dirty bulk works wonders for me physically but then I feel like a piece of shit after a month or two -similar to your experience

      Sounds like a calorie deficiency when being plant Based. Either eat more legumes and avocados. I mean huge bowls big ass meals. Still don't blow up? Add minimally processed foods like Ezekiel bread, crunchy peanut butter low sodium. No excuses to go back and eating like a savage if you got access to a grocery store.

    • @SIIKAP1
      @SIIKAP1 5 років тому +2

      @@texmexspm nah, it's a protein deficiency. I was whole foods vegan for a year and a half, eating over 3000 calories daily, and still gradually losing muscle mass. And yes, I ate plenty of beans and seeds, etc.
      I ditched the vegan train and now I'm no longer deteriorating, and I don't need over 3000 calories anymore either.

    • @texmexspm
      @texmexspm 5 років тому

      @@SIIKAP1 it could be a lack of protein. It's hard gaining on whole foods plantbased diet but still sounds like an excuse to me. If you're not building on 3000 calories than jump another 500- 1000 just like any other diet. If you're not gaining than eat more. Body builder Barney duplessis mentioned in an interview he had to eat an additional 1000-2000 calories when he switched to a plantbased diet. I can see why it may be attractive to just give up an go back to the old diet that seems more convenient. Just comes down to how strong your will is and how dedicated you are to building your body on the least deaths and pollution. Some people don't care. I think it's worth it in the long run. Just an opinion

    • @SPMusic18
      @SPMusic18 5 років тому +1

      Research a meal or two and start encorporating them a couple times a weeks. It is not as overwhelming if you ease into it with some solid meals.
      Also think of some things you already eat regularly that can easily become plant based. (Burritos/burrito bowls, pastas, Chilis, soups etcs.)

    This video is soo important and always will be.
    I know a guy who can squat and deadlift into the very high 200's and a high bench
    But his heart "Isn't pumping at full capacity" (which if you type that in it comes up with heart failure) kidney problems and high blood pressure......And he's only 34
    I was strong asf at 95kg - 100kg but goddamn, getting up to that weight just be able to lift more weights in the gym is absolutely not worth it. Weigh 88kg now, lost strength, but feeling healthier, can fall asleep quicker and deeper, doing regular cardio 2,3 times a week.
    Edit: The guy is still the same weight, I'd say he's about 105/110kg 5'6 dispite his health problems, and he now has to take heart medication.
