In my experience, learning to cook better is what really helped me make the transition to clean eating 24/7. I have plenty of recipes i enjoy but I bet it would help a lot of people make the transition if you made a cooking video. Obviously the best way is for them to get the research done themselves and learn, but if you made a video for them, putting the information RIGHT in front of them, they'd have no excuse not to be eating clean. Love your content, keep being real

As a Brazilian, it was so weird for me when I first lived in the US years ago, and found out they rarely ever ate beans, how it was treated as this weird food that kids ate while camping or something idk, meanwhile in Brazil (and latin america, etc), rice and beans are pretty much in every plate as a base, then adding meats, chicken salads and vegetables. I hated eating microwavable foods or fast foods all the time there, since I ate out with colleagues frequently and such. Eating healthier is just as “addictive”, at least mentally, as eating junk, with clear advantages, great video.

Hey Alex, one question about the novice program that's really bugging me:
I want to start the program this friday, but I am not sure if my gym has a trap bar and I hate conventional deadlifts with a passion (they feel wrong in every way, even without weights on the barbell).
My question is: How do you propose to substitute conv. DLs with Rack Pulls and RDLs?
Or should I strictly adhere to conventional DLs, considering that I do the Pendley Row slightly elevated to take some stress from the lower back and more on the traps (Pendley/Yates hybrid).
I like both of those exercises and would really like your opinion on what a novice should do in this regard.
P.S.: Cut your hair and trim your hair, bro. You looked way more alpha last year :D

ᴘƟGⱯЯↁⱯ people got fucked up guts from eating shitty food at birth. I know people who can’t gain weight eating 3000 cals yet shit 3/4 times a day. A ducked up. Gut means shitty digestive enzymes and also malabsorption of nutrition. It’s unhealthy if you can’t gain weight eating 1000 cals more than maintenance. Eating carbs or in a ketogenic state. If you eat 1000 more cals you will put some weight on. Eating 5000 calories of shitty food that caused your gut to get fucked up just makes it even worse. I understand if you are on steroids tho.

Listen to him. Change your eating habits or drug habits. If you can't control it with will power. Then, it's addiction like he said. You thinking it's a one time thing is your minds way of working against you. Only when you truly understand mind over matter will be able to comprehend this.

  • @unholydiver1095

I used to drink a bottle of Pepsi almost everyday. Was addicted to the stuff. I never drank alcohol, so that was my "drug". I slowly decreased my intake slowly. Instead of everyday, I went to drinking one bottle every other day, then only Fri-Sun, then only one time a week, and now, I just don't drink it. Also transitioned to whole foods. Moving out and living by myself helps a lot cause it keeps me from having any temptations out of my apartment. Now I lost the craving of the things I used to eat/drink. Recently, I went out and drank a quarter of a bottle of pepsi. I still like it, but I don't enjoy it that much anymore. I reached the point where I prefer my current lifestyle. Right now my favorite foods consist of salmon, white rice, carrots, cucumbers, eggs, whole wheat bread, spinach, banana, shrimp. I really enjoy eating it to the point I miss it if I eat out more than 2 days in a row. Seeing my face get slimmer and having my muscles pop out more also helps my dedication. I notice I smile a lot more, and more confident. Has helped my mental and social health along with my physical health

Its more of a mental stae and a hormonal state in order to reach and enjoy the journe to reach a physical state. Going to the gym working out is the fun part. Undestanding the hormonal process and the mental stae u go trough and knowing when to make adjusments and recognizing the signs ur body and endocryne system gives u when ur deficient in micros and minerals. Its the thing nobody wants to deal with. And for that u need to train ur brain. I think you should do a video on diferenta symptoms and signs ur body gives you when ur having problems with micro deficiencies, zinc, magnesium, sodium potassium imbalances etc. ... i think is gonna help a lot of people. Great channel wish u the best

Hey Alex, i have the opposite problem. I have been eating very clean and healthy for a long time now with my training. Recently i start to enter a phase where i have really low amounts of money. Partially also because ive been spending quite a bit on good food (not over the top, but obviously its much more expensive than your average student nutrition - especially who doesnt even train). Now i will have to lay really low and already start to include frozen pizzas here and there for the calories because i just dont have the money right now and it feels terrible. I cant just eat oatmeal and rice in these quantities and the alternatives are quite expensive, especially small things like avocados, nuts and in general healthy, nutrient dense foods if you want a balanced diet. It really sucks and im not enjoying it...

If you are not gaining weight on caloric surplus then you are actually in a deficit...eat even more. Train your muscles in the gym, BUT more importantly train your eating when not in the gym. Eat a little more every day and your digestive system should learn to handle all the extra food.
Its pretty hard I know, but gotta keep trying man.

Awesome video Alex. I am very health conscious cos of course it's better to live healtht; the whole living experience is better when you're healthy. But I also do it cos I naturally don't have a robust body and am sensitive. That's why to remain trouble free especially in my old age, when problems hit you like a truck, I do my very best to eat healthy. It's not easy cos I'm a foodie (Am thankful that my body tolerates carbs alright; I'm thin) but it's worth it. There is a lot of food that falls in my favs but thankfully I limit them to occasions and try that they are minimally processed.
Agree with learning how to cook. Many times people don't eat healthy cos it's unappealing. Fortunately it's easy to make food tasty and yet have its nutrition retained, even enhanced, when proper spices are used.
I feel very bad for people who say "who cares for health". What they don't understand is that it's not just about living long, but also about living without trouble and pain for the time that you do live. Why not feel great? Unfortunately many in this world just re muscle freaks. I'm glad I'm not that stupid.

Unfortunately the most important thing towards changing one's eating habits is negative personal experience. So long it happens somewhere in the world to someone else or even someone we personally know well, it is seems still as a distant possibility. It doesnt have to be that way though, few weeks is all it takes for the change to have the potential to be permanent without even the desire of looking back. 👍
