Honestly one thing I've noticed as a guy who's lost over 210 pounds in the last couple years the only real time I have cravings are during times of stress and when my calories are too low. Aggro cutting isn't good. Slow and steady wins the race.

Thanks Alex. This was an amazing video you brought out at the perfect moment as I'm nearing the end of my cut, where I'm really lean, and I've cut my calories down so low for the next and final week before going to maintenance for the remaining of the summer.
I completely agree with you on going to the grocery store late in the day completely fasted and on a cut for a while and purposefully looking at all the high sugar and calorie-dense sweets that I could hypothetically eat, and just walking by and purchasing the one item I was there for. It really puts to test your willpower, but I think that's better than not being prepared to see food and then seeing it and all of a sudden caving in and losing all the progress you've made all week. For some reason I actually enjoy looking at that food and I get satisfied from just looking at it. Either way great video Alex, thanks for all the help you've gave me and so many other people out there.

Few things that helped with my cravings:
    - eating apples everytime i wanted sweets when on the run
    - working out like crazy (3x gym, 4x climbing) a week, so when it would come to consider junk food i felt that i would waste all that work with this shit!
    - buying god damn blender! If you crave sweets, just put some frozen berries or bananas(!) or add some ice cubes to fruit +protein +oatmeal and you are for some serious sweet healthy heaven!

Hey Alex, I've been watching your videos for a few months now and I feel refreshed by your to-the-point and logical perspective. I was wondering if you could make a detailed video about your experience in isolation. How it benefited you, the pros and cons, the right or wrong ways to do it. Recently I've just been feeling overwhelmed by dealing with people constantly. I just want time to focus on myself but it's not like I hate being around others. I just feel like I have too much to work on and being around others (friends family and gf) has been draining me. I don't want to hurt these people, but I need to be away is what my gut feelings say. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thanks again for the awesome content.

Hey Jonathan, that is an interesting topic and I could cover it in the near future. In the meantime check out my video that I made on isolating oneself, it may be of benefit to you. Hope you're doing well, and I'll continue releasing self-development content. ua-cam.com/video/FHyBdMbO4vQ/v-deo.html

Great video! Personally i work at kfc part time for some cash while im at uni and its so easy and convenient for me to make sure of my staff discount and get cheap food from kfc on my break like everyone else who works there yet each day im there i stick to my meal plan and i bring my pre prepared food so i dont eat that shit, i spend all day smelling fried chicken fries gravy yet i still say no and i think you raise a great point of thinking what that food does to you as you smell it and eventually youll notice tbe smell you once craved actually smells like shit and the foods you always stuffed in your face actually look like shit too, i get way more cravimgs to eat clean foods like bananas and nuts (particularly nuts 😂) than junk food and thats why i do and can continue to eat clean daily

This is real advice! I crave B&J dairy free and all the vegan crap badly and can BINGE for days especially when studying :( i get the worse guilt feelings plus the sugar crush that knocks you out! Im struggling to stay focused and replace these sweet junk foods with cleaner sweets like you mentioned but working on it. Last binge was horrible: oreos(x36) and 3 valsoia cones 😔 won't happen again.
To add to what you said, one also needs to think about the sort of compounds found in these mainstream packed sweets: they're full of high fructose syrup that is detrimental to our liver, full of hydrogenated oils, and all the synthetic flavourings and preservatives. Look out people they're the cause of type 2 DM and cancers.

Thank you alex!!!! really like this suffering method think it can help to those who need it. i wanted to ask you something i cant rack pull (training at home with Olympic bar and dumbell only) got some serious gain but i fell like missing the block/rack pulls. Today after nearly passing out after a new DL PR my brain got something on i sat on my knees (my kness on the floor i have a mattress so thats fine and pulled the barbell from the floor i find out that its fell pretty good and that the movement is very similar to rack pull above the knee so i added some weight about it i been able to pull 500 pound this way while my DL is only 340 pounds! it felt amazing on my traps really felt those guys stretching out. so what do you think about this? i googled it and find nothing may invented new kind of unconventional lift? or maybe i shouldn't do this due to stress on my knee (although i fell nothing there) thank you and hope you can help me. much love and respect and your hair and beard looking good man Yuval.

From a former glutton: This is the best, most complete long-term advice for overeating I've ever seen in one video, ESPECIALLY your last point.
My personal strategy that synergizes well with your advice is OMAD. It simplifies everything about grocery shopping, meal planning and you get to indulge for that one meal.
    Thank you Alex!

    • @MogsExist
      @MogsExist 6 років тому +1

OMAD is usually not enough. If one struggles with OMAD do 1 big meal and later fruits (not much of course), its better for the digestion as well.

I work at Haagen-Dazs about 5 years and only eat ice cream, manly mango sorbet or strawberries and cream, once a week or once every two weeks. It took a lot of willpower at the beginning but after one year or so it became easier. Now i have total control of my cravings, i eat when i want and if i want. It makes a huge difference if you want to get rid of that lower ab fat.
Good luck to you guys! Keep it going Alex!

I had big issues with ice cream, so here's my tip on how to replace it. Buy a powerful blender and put in some frozen fruits, banana's and berries taste the best. Blend them up and if you want add cacao powder and yogurt. It will have the same iciness and texture and in all honesty tastes a lot better :)

It makes you full as long as ice cream which is like dessert so not too long, as far as calories as much as the fruit normally would and then if you add the yogurt - it really just depends how much you put in, but honestly it shouldn't be too much calories unless you are eating a lot of it.

Andrej Jocic Blend my asshole. No bullshit healthy alternative is gonna taste as good as the real thing. Just learn to eat junk in controlled amounts and stop being a trendy health obsessed freak. You freaking posers man.

My dad gave me some chocolate in this easter, I was planning to eat it very slowly, 1 piece of chocolate a day. But this morning after I ate what I was supposed to I decided to give the chocolate away. I'm not going to eat garbage anymore. Even the package looked disgusting, I had to rip the thing to be able to read the calories and it had an algorithm printed out saying something like "open, eat, grab another one, repeat"
