The depth and breadth of this song is amazing. it reaches down into the gutter and finds those of us that do not fit inside the status quo.i am not one that sits inside the norms that society has defined. I am happily one of the losers. I am a Native American that does not even belong to a reservation. i am a total loser and I love it. Look around those of you that are considered the "beautiful people." There are more of us and we are finding a way to make ourselves known and our opinions matter
He is and was very well versed in the days/todays problems, and the politics, etc. of Americas problems. I played with Warrior Soul after John Rico was fired. At the time, I was too young to appreciate his lyrics. But after that, I really listened, and knew, he was brilliant, and the rest of the “masses” to understand, and grasp ahold of his lyrics. I’m listed as among all the other guitarist after John left. But I was the 1st along with Alex “X Factor “ to join, and was with him for a year. Although his lyrics were great, behind the scenes, he was an asshole 100%, and DID NOT act as his lyrics portrayed. Which is heart breaking. My name is Chris Moffett. He ended up stealing my beautiful, loved guitar (which wasn’t a Gibson. I was signed to Gibson in WS and a band I was in before WS on Sony/Epic) and an incredible Marshall JCM 800 2210 and cabinet, all worth about $5,000. His explanation to me I was “fired”, that I was getting unemployment. It breaks my heart. And I’ll break his face when I catch up with him.
I watched this video on headbangers ball when the 2 guitarists from Queensryche were hosting for Rikki Rachman back in 90' one of the best years of my life.
Awesome song. Always thought these guys should have been more popular. They were overshadowed by lesser bands like Poison and Skid Row. Their songs are forgettable, and this song is still beautiful to this day. To all my fellow losers (we aren't but the rest of society may think we are), I think you are all beautiful.
@@michaeltabor9664 Exactly lol, Poison, warrant and company weren't keeping these dudes down. The "hair metal" bands would bring alternative acts on the road all the time. These guys looked too LA glam with their leather jackets and long beautiful hair to survive the corduroy pants and shoulder length hair that was coming in fast
I remember seeing this for the first time on Headbangers Ball--yeah the one when Rikki wore his hair long-- and I was hooked. Been listening to this CD lately. Still powerful stuff after all these years.
Warrior Soul got me through some hard times, and still do 22 years later. Thank you! My son will be six years old today. Christian, I love you. You are the best thing in my life, and remember...you will ALWAYS be loved...you will ALWAYS be loved. ALWAYS.
This song meant so much to me as a teenager. My mother had died when j was 14 and I was in a bad place. I saw this on Headbanger's Ball and related to it so much.
I’m sorry about your mom. Mine passed away with Alzheimer’s a year ago, and I can relate. I also was the 2nd guitarist in Warrior Soul. With love, Chris Moffett
I agree.. one of my favorite bands that ended up right in the middle of the changeover from the '80s to the '90s one of the last hair bands unheard. Considering they should have been as big as motley Crue I had to happen to a friend of mine about the time they were getting signed everybody started listening to Metallica band called solinger so they broke up and the singer ended up trying out for skid row and got the gig go Johnny Dallas Texas
I saw them too during that tour, but Kory being Kory he started chanting 'f*$k Bush' and the crowd booed them off-stage and unfortunately we only heard one song from them (I think it was 'Interzone'). Still love them though!
Ran sound for these guys in the 90's. Saw tons of bands. Chatted with them and bought the album that night. Very underrated... I thought they would be huge. Listening to it again after all these years I still say...one of the best!!
I LOVED these guys, and no one I knew had ever heard of them. One day a friend of a friend was giving me a ride home, and he told me to just pick anything he had to play and he had a Warrior Soul cassette. The whole rest of the ride home was "no one else has heard of these guys!" only person ever I have met who knew them...
Great band, I remember the first time i heard this on MTV's headbanger ball. I went out and got it the next day and played it time you couldnt read anything on the cassette...lol Good stuff!
Albums Because Sure this Was A Master Piece But So Was DRUGS, God and the New Republic and The Salutations from the Ghetto Nation was Great Too. Chill pill and Space age playboys Weren't bad but Just Not The Same As Those First 3 Albums they Put out.
I love You Tube. Found this one I have not heard since 1996. It was my classroom theme song along with Another Brick in the Wall when I was teaching a self contained classroom in a large metro high school for the kids who were labeled as Juvenile Delinquents with Emotional and Behavioral Problems, which it was my great pleasure to serve and aid them in putting their lives back together and undoing the damage the very schools, social workers and worthless parents had created.
My own personal Hymn. This should be played at my funeral. If there was anyone left that actually gave a fuck about me . Here's to the Losers, we are beautiful, shame that no one else knows... worlds most cruel secret.

Saw these guys opening for Danzig with Soundgarden in 1990. I was 17 it was my first in-person interview as a music journalist. I was nervous but Corey and Pete were the coolest. That night was also the first time I ever saw Soundgarden. What a day!
I feel everyone that have commented. I was in and out of the music buisness and have listened to uncountable music scores. This is the only that reaches all the way down to my calloused soul. I'm a 61 year young never die metal head that still to this day gets tears in my eyes and all choked up when I listen to the true anthem of our lives. We live a lifestyle that is the truest of all." LET'S RAISE OUR GLASS AND MAKE A TOAST"
They fell through a gap between Aerosmith's comeback, G-n-R, and Nirvana, where the buzz slowly turned to hangover and you realized there was something deeper than the party, and more focused than blind rage. I still don't think the masses could handle what they had to offer- unfortunately for us all. Great band. Cool in person, too.
I agree Kory Clark. I also love you dude. I love your voice. It is so recognizable, that it could be you, when you start singing. Thank YOU Kory for this phenomenal song. xoxoxoxoxo
Just saw them in chicago at the live wire a couple weeks back. Sure, his voice is rough, but what a great set. Super fun night. Crowd was totally pumped. Band was having a great time. Big thumbs up
