He was very cool and accomadating, no star attitude. Best show of my life up till then and a definite all time high light🤘🏾🤘🏾

I went to see them at the Hollywood Palladium. My cousin and his friends were there to see Metallica open, and holy shit, Metallica smoked them. Cliff was unreal. All the head banging and slamming left everyone tired for Armored Saint.
Joey Vera - He's been playing bass with Fates Warning for the last 25 years or so. I saw him play with them about 5 years ago and he's still delivering the goods!
Dave was a very cool guy! I went to school with them is South Pasadena, I'm still friends with his brother Ken who was also a top dude and a great Bass player!

Armored Saint's music was just never on the same level as Halford and Dio. That music is legendary. John Bush did some good stuff with Anthrax but Saint's music is pretty mediocre. I saw them open for Metallica on the Ride the Lightening tour and they were ok. Not great, just ok.
I'll never forget seeing the Monsters of Metal tour in 85, I think. It was in a club in Baltimore, and Armored Saint opened. Next came Wasp, then the headliner, Metallica! It was the Ride the Lightning tour for them, and Wasp was promoting Wasp, their self-titled debut. The Saint was promoting March of the Saint. Cliff Burton was still alive and kicking ass. I saw it all, and felt every note from about 25 feet away on the floor in front of the stage. Amazing show!😊😊😊

Saw them n BUffalo on that tour. Except hooked up so when Grim Reaper was on , the girl knew Armored Saint and we went and hung on their tour bus. Pretty sweet.
I totally remember these guys back in 84 85 when they played the palladium in Hollywood and Metallica opened up for them and Metallica was promoting their album "Ride the lightning" at the time! One of the coolest things is that all the members in the band except for Dave Pritchard went to Wilson high School here in LA and Dave went to South Pasadena high School....
Same for me. Saw them in 85 at the Cotillion Ball Room in Wichita KS with Metallica and WASP. Funny thing, we were there for Armored Saint not Metallica or WASP . What a show, about 600 people total!
Why the hell have I never heard of this band? I 'm an 80's hard rock fan and very fond of all the popular 80's groups. Crue, Ratt, Ozzy, etc. Who's been hiding them away? They sound pretty good.
They hit their stride at a bad time. The industry in the US was dominated by pretty boy hair metal bands mostly thanks to MTV at the time, and these guys weren't exactly lookers. Same fate befell Cinderella (my favorite from the hair era), although to a far lesser degree. They were probably regarded as a sort of relic from a "bygone" metal era that included pioneer Brit metal bands like Priest, Maiden, Grim Reaper, etc. Ozzy was the exception because he had enough momentum from Sabbath to be as ugly on MTV as he wanted. Anyway, better late than never! John Bush is a metal GOAT.

The whol dressing lile a knight or having alot of chains on you with studded accessories was becoming an old thing . The more Glam image was coming in like you have previously stated .

Power ballads may have been used more in the '80s by a lot of hair bands. The Scorpions were jamming out power ballads sense the '70s. I enjoy some of the power ballads. I think hard rockers should leave love songs to artists like Neil Diamond, Joan Baez, etc. This is the music I first started listening to. I love music from classical to death metal. Just don't like syrupy love songs by in your face rock bands. Early Aerosmith I really enjoyed, early KISS( I know Beth). They were in your face, then BOOM radio rock.

+David Bell are you kidding me? the 80s were full of rock love songs the power ballad was invented in the 80s! plus rock has always had love songs if anything there are less rock love song because there are less rock bands
Power ballads may have been used more in the '80s by a lot of hair bands. The Scorpions were jamming out power ballads sense the '70s. I enjoy some of the power ballads. I think hard rockers should leave love songs to artists like Neil Diamond, Joan Baez, etc. This is the music I first started listening to. I love music from classical to death metal. Just don't like syrupy love songs by in your face rock bands. Early Aerosmith I really enjoyed, early KISS( I know Beth). They were in your face, then BOOM radio rock.

John Bush looks so different now. I saw this band with WASP in Cleveland in 1985. Just saw both bands in Vegas last month!!

the sound / mix / production on this album is one of the best ever still to this day imo.
My 50 year old sister went to their concert last night. Worn original t-shirt from 1987. A good time was had by all. 😅😆 Rock on!!
