I remember my uncle recorded song's from Head Banger's Ball every Saturday night, and even if he only recorded one new song he stayed up for the whole 3 hours, HBB 1987-1995 some of the best music MTV had to offer in those days and I sure do miss those times

I am an avid metal head. Have been my entire life. As of 2020 I am 47 years old. Love bands like In Flames and Opeth. That being said. No band will EVER SURPASS this band to me. This album rocked my world so many years ago and still remains my absolute top album of all time. The other albums this amazing group created are just icing on the cake. Thank you so much for the amazing music Kory, Johnny, Pete and Mark (RIP) guess I can’t leave out X factor either (whatever your real name is). Best fucking band in my collection!!! Seriously can’t thank you guys enough for making my life a better life. Much love to you all!!!!!
This band changed my life..and still does to this day. I'm 49! Ha Ha! Definitely unforgettable and will DEFINITELY look forward to seeing Warrior Soul play live again ....or in another life. They are here for good..

I was 24 when this song came out and used to go to see most of the Metal Bands that were touring the clubs in the 80s and 90s but WS never came to my town...
one of the best debut albums ever made, period. the string of songs and the overall post apocalyptic dystopian feel ? damn... I love some of the other stuff in places, but this whole damn album rings...
What a song, it creates a feeling of melancholy and at the same time it delivers so much power, like a kick in the stomach, many years have passed haven't listened to something similar .
Joyce Androsiglio sadly his voice is absolutely shot nowadays,he still has the same attitude and personality, but his voice sounds like barbed wire now
Kory was labeled a communist because of his lyrics in later albums like "Drugs, GOD and the New Republic. He left the U.S. over it and moved to England. He has put out music there and tours Europe.
@@Privateerrus yeah, good times with Pete R.I.P. & Mark R.I.P . Not so much with KC. He stole my guitar and Marshall JCM800 2210 which had been customized... :(
This whole album was freakin' great. "Downtown", "4 more years", "Charlie's out of prison", "the Losers", the whole album. Most the people I've known (all musicians) never even heard of 'em. 😐 5:00
@colorado4691 ---well said, bro. I'm 42, and without the metal, punk and hard rock of the 70s--90s, I'd still feel like a dispirted nobody. Warrior Soul became part of my sonic family back then along with Type O, Danzig, Tool, Pantera, Soundgarden, AIC, Ministry and so many other greats. I remember relating to Corey's wicked cynicism on "Jump For Joy" and his outrage on the entire "Salutations" album. I shook hands with him in 2008 and told him he was right about pretty much everything he sang.
@brokl26 I completely agree. I remember how this band felt so much more genuine than what I was listening to at the time. Im 40 now but when I was 20 It kinda pushed me forward . I started to really take a look at where I was and what was going on around me rather than just going along for the ride. glad I looked them up again.
I was born 90 and been rocking this since as far back as i can remember which is like 3 years old lol. This and The Losers are both phenomenal! Tragic this dudes voice is shit now!
did she do a write up in a rock mag , I remember the first time I read about kory in 89 I think it was in Kerange or some shit , He fascinated the shit out of me , didn't even hear his music for 2 more years and it changed my life
@evermetal2 The issue here seems to be labels. What Warrior Soul put out in music was a message about labels and fitting in. Warrior Soul was a punk-type band to begin with. The message was that those of us that are not in the inner circles of society are not alone. The band played great music, sang quality lyrics and became an overlooked, under played voice of those of us that are out on the fringe and alone. Your bands are all of the same mold. Good, yes, I hear you. Listen to the words here.
my old lady had the same drug councilor as kory , he told me about a new warrior soul album called space age playboys, ONLY he wasnt touring the US no more and was changing the band to the same name , was going to the UK and cut his hair off . ill never forget that conversation .
I had this cassette tape 'til some MF'er stole it. Glad to hear they came back & I hope they stay together & finally get the recognition they deserve as a hard rockn', in your face, a blast to your ears metal band.
@@keithferris9574 - You obviously weren't there when this music happened. There were no transgender people at Warrior Soul shows. You can't apply today to 1990.
@@keithferris9574- the projection is strong with you. Kory would easily support disbanding this tyrannical globalist cabal trying to kill all of us. Stupid.
The intro kind of reminds me of "Wherever I May Roam" for some reason. I wonder if Metallica "borrowed" it. Either way, excellent song that stands the test of time.
i know this is to late but Warrior soul had the same publicity company that Metallica had just before the Black Album and in the video of the making of the Black Album Lars, i think, is wearing a Warrior Soul T shirt so they had heard their Music.
Last Decade Dead Century was MasterClass, years ahead of its time; prophetic... These guys were the definition of woke, long before the snowflakes came along...
I don't consider these guys "hair band". So he has long hair..it's not covered in gallons of hair spray on his head. And they didn't sing about partying and women
The hatred outside really doesn't matter.
WARRIOR SOUL FOREVER
Sup dude? That u for real
I bought this cd back in 1990 I still haveit still one of my favorites. underrated band but one of the best for my taste.
I still have it on cassette!
So under rated it’s criminal lol
I come back to this song every so often. No ballad like it. Warrior Soul was really unique.
The most underrated metal ballad ever
Kory Clark really kicked ass back in the 90's..... where did the time go ?
This band had pretty original music material back then, not your typical party rock or thrash metal - this was something truly different.
A masterpiece

Go to sleep in my arms
A soul to keep from all harm
I lie awake in a crystal calm
Your face so sweet till the end of time
A lullaby
Makes you feel better
The world's all but died
But we're together

Go to sleep my baby
Go to sleep right next to me
You found the way from what you've lost
The pain is great as you pay the cost
A lullaby
Makes you feel better
The world's all but died
But we're together
A lullaby
Makes you feel better
The hatred outside
Really doesn't, really doesn't matter

Two underrated bands from my youth: Warrior Soul and Autograph. Both had amazing debut albums but didnt the the airplay that they deserved.
Rip Mark and Pete.
still one of the best !!!! wish I could have seen them live
They were awesome live! Saw them when they opened for Queensryche's Empire tour
One of the many great more obscure bands I introduced my friends to in the 90's
Loved these guys back in the day. Seen em' live a few times.
To the guy who bought this 3 times smart man awsome album omg its unknown classic
One of the best bands ive ever heard. They were so underrated. They shouldve been as big as Guns n roses!!
This song is so beautiful...
Lost in the 90's grudge overload. Great song.
My favourite, best ever! I love your soul, Kory!
Their guitar riff and vocal are just beyond excellent !
They were so underrated. Amazing vocals...he reminds me of Miles Kennedy from Alter Bridge. Now that would be a great duet!
Joyce Androsiglio sadly his voice is absolutely shot nowadays,he still has the same attitude and personality, but his voice sounds like barbed wire now
he sung about topics that rocked
What happened to them? They were amazing. I just cried a bit hearing this. It took me way back. Their music kept me sane in the early 90s. 💘
