I'd say overall the issue wasn't that you were too aggressive, but that you were probing with expensive units. Probing is something you do with base riflemen or 5pt transports. Not Bradley's and Abrams. I'd suggest trading the M2a1s for M113A3s and reshuffling your recon tab a bit. I love the Bradley and Abrams combo having served on both IRL but in game the only Bradley worth bringing over the M113a3 and M163CS are the top of the line ones with TOW 2s for the extra point or two of armor and the top tier atgm. M2a1s and base M2s have just been disappointing for me. Ditto on the M3 and M3A1. I'd sooner bring cavalry scouts to that particular fight.
The clicking you hear is your own mouse, if you pay attention you hear it at the same you give orders or call units. Good video never the less, keep it up👍
I know it probably would have used way too much additional processing power, but it would have been cool if there was wind speed and direction in the game as well - that would blow/carry smoke when you lay it down, and maybe have some other effects as well. so that you could move with the smoke or conversely in games when the wind speed is higher maybe, smoke screens might shift away from where you want them faster than you'd planned. But like I said, I'm guessing it would be a lot more taxing on the game, adding in something else to calculate/keep track of and that moves objects as well. But I still think it would be neat. Good game guys. I didn't hear - who ended up winning the tournament?
Some of the issues you had was that in the early game you were short on infantry and it cost you several vehicles,.... 40additional rifleman and 4 m113 is only 60 or 80 points,... they don't have to be the greatest to find the trouble for your vehicles to fix. Plenty of rifleman were on the field mid and late game but i think they could have had a couple more tanks to go with them if the tanks had had the additional infantry at the beginning of the game. But lol at any mistake in game. We win plenty lol.
-MBT-70 vs Sheridan? -Why have PIVADS & 163CS in the same deck? I know PIVADS has radar but 163CS to me is strictly a support that is used as a stop-gap measure against light targets. A Vulcan can do a better job but takes up a support slot so i just wanna know how you use the two AA units - I usually use M3A2 Scout because of their TOW-2. Considering their role as a scout, should I consider the cheaper versions since I would only want to engage weaker targets and against a heavy tank they would still die or does it depend on what kind of deck im using? (I.E. M3A2 for Armored deck; M3 for Mechanized)? -Saw little use of Air power from both sides (not counting Heilos) -Always found Echo area difficult to pin, especially the area immediately next to it (not the highway, the spawn area). Any tips? -Noticed you went with cheap riflemen. Are they strictly anti-infantry? Or is it just for the Bradleys? - I think placing tanks more on roads to get full range on their guns, keeping them close to cover and far as possible to minimize attack risks. I think this approach would work around urban areas and heavily forested areas like Echo. Good idea? - What is the most utilitarian M1 Abrahms in your opinion (Most useful for its price)? - What unit(s) do you think all American Decks should have? -A quarter for every time I lost an M1A2 to an ATGM Plane... - You should have had a second person aid in your push through mid, with infantry, recon, and heavy AA presence; With the armor you had, you should have been able to push clean towards the enemy spawn; tho i don't think your enemies would have let you do so easily -Left could've really used cluster artillery - So much supply not being used...I would use them to go to my teammates and resupply them then go to the FOB to restock, especially the chinook Overall the gameplay by you was good, tho there were points where I thought you could have used the HC Abrahms on the left a bit more effectively and could have used more support against Air. They sould have been the ones up ahead where the M1IPs made their push; mid appeared to be the weakest in the game since they did not push as far as the rest of your team. Big Fan! Nice vids! Keep em coming!
Only part of that that stuck long enough for me to type a reply was the Bradley critique and the observation that for some reason no one can spell Abrams without sticking an h in it for no reason.
Hey stealth, would like to play Wargame with some people after only playing alone for some time. You think I might find people on your discord or something? :)
If you want to get better in this game. Ask yourself, which unit combination, trades best? And build your deck after that. Just an example, cheap weak infantry is useless? No. Combine it with something that can counter better more expensive infantry. Follow this mindset and you will get surprising effective decks.
Is there any updates being announce by Eugen systems for Wargame Red Dragon? Did Eugen Systems also add additional maps? It would be awesome if you can use maps from Airland Battle and European Escalation for multiplayer matches or skirmishes. Eugen Systems probably abandoned this awesome game and that's a pity.
@@Domhnall_A_Ghalltachd Not really. The game works fine the way it is. Sure, people might have issues with some balance stuff, but they always will. I don't see why they would need to patch Wargame at this point.
@@Stealth17Gaming Just to add new things, the point was more that its crazy we are playing a game which has remained unchanged since like 2017. I would have always loved to see India, Italy, Greece, Libya etc.
@@Domhnall_A_Ghalltachd We're the crazy ones for a playing a 6 year old game. I've started and stopped playing games that came out this year. Eugen is under no obligation to bring out more units/patches. Sure, they might make some more money off of it through DLCs, but I'm not sure the ROI is worth it for them.

Why was the enemy using mi-24A's?!?! They are worse than the mi-24D's in every regard, and only 10 points cheaper! The Mi-24D's are even in 1980 decks, so there should be no reason to bring in the 24A's!
@@heisenb3rg662 What type of deck? Because they all have access to mi-8s and the like which are better suited to transporting infantry. Also Poland and czech don't have 24A's. They have 24D's, but not A's. That's only East Germany, which also have the mi-8's which are 20 points cheaper and a much better pick for infantry transport. The only unit I can see that the cheapest helicopter for troops is the light Rifleman for east germany, and they aren't exactly that stellar of a unit.
Yeah my biggest criticism of this gameplay is the lack of rifleman 90 in m113 and Upvetted cavalry scouts. Ironically I learned the necessity of cheap infantry and recon from stealth's videos only to see him fail to do this here.
if you must be aggressive then be aggressive with infantry as you see with such close quarters vehicles become a liability I'm willing to bet that you could cut your loses in half if you lead with infantry and use your M1's & M2's as fire support until they get to an area that suits them. Also to often you lead with recon which is good but you lead with the 1s on the expensive side remember the bigger the price tag the bigger the target. noobs FYI never charge infantry strong holds (Towns & Forest) with vehicles because you WILL lose them unless that vehicle is DESIGNED for that job in which you will lose it after the enemy finds a way to flank it. in this game as it is in real combat no vehicle of any type should entre a urban or forest area WITHOUT an infantry screen.
What a unique game. Glad to see the community still alive after so long.
its toxic as hell though, have you been in the public chat?
ultimate shota yes, but that doesn’t take away from how it’s arguably one of the best RTS games available. Toxic can be entertaining?

"Almost 700 points behind. Need to play more defensive", he says as he sends two M1IP's to their certain deaths.

You could hear Stealth's mouse but there was also a louder one at points which was clicking when Stealth wasn't doing anything.
Must have missed it sorry then
Definitely not my mouse. The sound came in over Discord.
You can also definitely hear the clicking sounds of stealth keyboard and mouse!

Last time a was this early people were still playing "European Escalation"

The M163CS is not a serious AA unit. PIVADS is an absolute necessity, as you have nothing else to fill the SPAAG role in a pure US armored deck.
