Just to let you guys know that Yu Bei Yi means Reserve troops. They are not regular troops. Li Jian means "Sharp sword", a word to describe somewhat elite troops.
Nice gamplay, but I don't know why anyone would actually use Yubeiyi in an actual match. 10pt Zhanshi in a 5pt box is marginally better for the same price you can get the reservists at
If your going to use them to hold more expensive infantry in place for bombers and artillery it makes sense to go for 15 man reservists. The extra hit points make them slightly better at holding on and you don't care if you lose em to friendly bombers.
Seems that stealth was using them to cushion his more expensive Li Jians, but in either case zhanshi would still be preferable; they have a machine gun, slightly better rpg and better training, so they'd work better for softening up enemy elite infantry. Now if the yubeiyi were available with a 5 pt transport, I'd have no complaints, but that 10 pt transport they come in is a scam
Tan Wei An 27 we have used them for years now.. it’s kind of a meme for our group but they can be really effective at soaking up punishment. Also it’s peoples choice as the what units they use in a game.
Was just fiddling with a Chinese moto deck. Dropped it due to the lack of lu zhandui and went with Marines instead. The tanks are shit but you do get that super long range atgm vehicle and extra plane slots. Downside is that the lu zhandui don't get wheeled transports but li jian do. Though I don't think I could have kept up a grind on a map like that without the cheaper infantry.
