0.12 Kirk gave James a WTF, pissed off look to say something was off. Kirk and James both looked like they were rushing to try and keep up to Lars, causing it to sound like crap. The timing and rhythm was off right from the start because Lars drank a couple Monsters and was running away from them. And of course there is no bass to try and keep time off either. The song is not as fast as Lars was playing it here.

Remember when Metallica used to speed up everything live was not all on Lars 😂 track's like creeping death and Battery was insane live in the late 80's i dont think they have that attack and speed anymore but age and just making live performances more economical the tracks have changed a bunch over the years from relearning or just to make it easier even james is using less down picking. They are still a beast of a band live and really happy these guys are still playing shows. But It's not going to last forever if you haven't already, go and see them before you miss out.

Lars was carrying the beat at 230bpm though - that’s significantly faster than it was originally recorded, and even after it was sped up. Kirk and James were clearly lagging behind with James not able to keep up and having to resort to just power chords I don’t see how Lars can be so much faster with the arrangement you speak of. Perhaps somethings faulty somewhere? Or maybe they changed the setup since?
they use clicks since 2022 or maybe even end of 2021. specially lars. when you walked sometimes fos on the guitar/drum techs positions you noticed. and since 2021 they also played in a more studio tempo
Lars is the only drummer in history to have gotten progressively worse as time went on. He has not practiced since the 1990's ( by his own admission) and boy does it show.
