6:25 LOL I worked for Metallica when they played in Milan. I was the guy who pumped air in those ball/balloons ... I thought those balls were a bit silly for a metal concert. Most people grabbed them as they threw them to the public, deflated them and pocketed them. They lasted only an handful of seconds :D
Aside from the fact that Kirk actually slipped off his friggin' wah pedal (the irony escapes no one) you can hardly call that a fail. :D Frankly, the way he takes all that in a stride and laugh on it with everybody makes him really impressive to me.
Knowing they played countless rock shows and had cameras pointed at them almost 100% of the time, we should have a lot more recorded fails. Or another explanation ... this band simply rocks!!
I played professional from the age of 15 for 20 years. I have jammed with some iconic musicians and some that were not. One thing I can tell you is EVERYONE makes mistakes or has an unexpected experience with equipment. What separates the amateur from the pro is the ability to keep pushing through or laugh it off and start over. Amateurs can’t recover, pros know how to handle anything because they have made mistakes a thousand times
For a band that charges a fucking left nut and a kidney for their tickets they are laughably sloppy.. Lars has always sucked Kirk can’t nail the simplest solos and the band as a whole is off tempo for like half of the songs. No shit everyone makes mistakes but these guys fucking suck ass and are milking their fanboys for every goddamn dollar they can.
Lars Ulrich has a left hand coordination issue that happens repeatedly, where his left hand will play two consecutive 8th notes when he only meant to play one, and it just throws him off. It's probably a foot-hand independence issue where his left hand will "follow" his right foot unintentionally sometimes. This is something that happens at beginner to intermediate levels.
