You are absolutely right. Since it is supposed to take 3 weeks for the new cylinders to get here from China, I followed your advice and took the compressors apart and cleaned them. Put them back together and both worked like new. As you said, I am making sure to run them awhile without the whip when I’m done with them to purge all the water from the cylinder. I also bought a 60 inch airline to allow more moisture to condense before reaching the gun and I also set up the compressor to be lower than the gun so condensed moisture will have to move uphill to reach the gun. Great video thanks. I just ordered another one of those separators. I have one on my compressor but now I guess I will have 2. Does it make any difference if the filters closer to the gun or not? I noticed you have yours right on the compressor. I have mine at the end of the hose. Thanks. Fred
Hey Fred. Hard to say which position of the separator is best. Some say near the gun, I usually run it on the compressor side. I feel like a lot of water buildup occurs right at the fill nipple on the compressor so stripping most of that out before sending it to the gun seems better to me. Usually I position the tiny inline filter on the gun side, with the bigger filter on the compressor side
Does anyone have any longer-term impressions of this pump? I’m really hoping I could get 5 years out of it (using it a couple of times monthly for 4.5K psi 68ci tanks).
5 years is a lot to ask of any shoebox style compressor. These Vevor ones haven't even been out that long yet. So far I probably have the most use on one out of anyone since this stays at my shed and gets pounded on by a bunch of competitive shooters every weekend. Lol - those dudes don't even bring their own compressors anymore they just use mine! She's running solidly.
Would this work for my friends SigAir AR type .22? Sorry, I don’t know the gun’s specs or tank size. I do know he’s getting tired of that hand pump, and I’d like to surprise him with something for his birthday. I sure don’t want to pay $700 for one of those Nomads or whatever brand is in that price range. Any advise would be appreciated.
heya! Hope you get this and can answer me. I am looking into this compressor for my Airsoft HPA bottle. It is a 1L bottle, the supplier Vevor mentions on the website, it can do max 1.5L. Would this be an issue? I usually wont run it close to empty.
Hey! Honestly it should be no problem but maybe check out my review on the Orcair Thunder compressor. It is a little heavier duty in terms of filling larger bottles. In any case just make sure you limit your fills to about 20 minutes of run time and then the same amount of cooling fan time after. Always use a moisture filter. And never start it up against pressure! Appreciate you if you use my links in the video descriptions, king! Cheers!
Yes for sure but I'd honestly just get this one. It's been a solid unit, and easy to work on. Just do not forget to blow the condensation out of it after every use (like me!) or you'll be taking it apart to remove water from the piston
I can almost guarantee it has the same (or better) internals. Stay tuned to the channel, though. I just received possibly the best compressor yet and I'll be putting together a review on it soon...
