The song is in Hindi only guys! There are a lot of ways of saying the same phrase in Hindi. We even have different words for things as simple as "eyes"!

@R.C. Hindi/Urdu combined is called Hindustani language (kinda like how Farsi/Dari combined is called Persian language), which is what most people speak and the language typically used by bollywood.

Urdu IS Hindi+Persian. Sometimes is an understatement. Hindustani is a mix of many languages.

I actually realised this today, but in the whole music video Akshay Khanna(male lead) was straight up stalking Aishwarya(female lead).
I was a kid then. I remember that I didn't quite like the movie so much so that I don't even remember what it was about.
Those were the days where stalking was very common and apparently, cute? Stalking, in movies, was prevalent by both male and female leads. Those things would not fly today. :D

Another thing for you to know about Hindi language, it is a mix of Persian and Sanskrit with some other influences, so depending on the dialect of Hindi or region, people use different synonyms. One thing can have over ten words, and some over 50 words to express. FOR EG, the word Love can be Prem, Mohobat, Aashiqui, Pyaar etc., the word for liquid water can be Pani, Neer, Jal, Ab, etc. Its the influence of Sanskrit, where properties of the things can create different words, therefore same thing in different form can be called something totally different. like liquid water in its each property is called something different, like flowing water, stagnant water, etc. but at the end it's just liquid water. it is a very complicated subject, but in simple words, hindi can have multiple words for just one thing.
Correct. You're referring to Hindustani language though (Hindi/Urdu combined and vocab, grammar mostly derives from Sanskrit and some Persian or Arabic).

The thing about language and words are that in Hindi even other languages too there's are many words to describe a single thing so Piya also means beloved (perticularly used by female to address male companion) , sawariyan means the same, sajana also means the same (used for male) , sajania means the same (used for female), Priya means same, etc etc. there's literally more than 100 words to say lover in Sanskrit (from which Hindi is originated)
