The fram I bought collapsed on itself. When I pulled it out, the boot where the collapsing happened, was torn and super brittle. Won't be using them again.
It has to be STP because I know for a fact fram sucks!! Look a good honest man by the name of Project Farm which he literally tests fram and the results speaks for itself and fram sucks!! I know, I use to use fram as my air filter. Now I'm currently using WICK and my second best is what the manufacture calls for, STP. And WICK has not disappointed me!! I did my last oil change and checked my WICK air filter I was very pleased with the results.
@@roybatty- in the initial break in period, yea. But just like with any filter, it gets better the more it's used. Doesn't sound like that's how it should work, but that's how filters work, apparently
I had kn and it didnt give better performance and im sure it wasnt good for my engine because i could see little holes clearly through it. I would never recommend kn. But thats only my personal opinion and experience.
Stp is also made in usa. But wix is the best imo if you’re looking for filtering ability to keep contaminants out
I agree, wix makes great filters, sadly they don't market/distribute them too well down here in Mexico

@BadAssEngineering - Is there a difference between the MPG of the old filter, and MPG of the 2 new filters?
Can you do a little mpg test? Or do you notice any improvement from the stp one
You cant really tell a difference in MPGs, but there is a subtle feel difference when driving, the FRAM filter being a tad better

Not sure that is true have one in my 2018 1500. You must use to much oil
K&N performance filter lets in the most particles into the engine by FAR.
