@@blasiomuhinda I’ve been where these women are and also understand your question… the hardest part a lot of times is that marriages CAN be healed and the issues don’t have to be terrible but if both partners aren’t working toward the same thing it like her dad said, 50, 60 years of pain isn’t worth it. If both spouses truly want it to work IT CAN even in bad situations. In mine even with some pretty bad issues I was willing to try and my ex simply wasn’t!

Those parents are so invested in their daughter just being ok. I like how you talked about a wedding and divorce at the same time which showed no expectation of everyone in the family going through their personal highs and lows at the same time.
The conversation that you had with your parents hit hard. I LOVE that your parents are supportive. Although I took initiative to end the relationship bcz there was cheating, verbal abuse and towards the end physical abuse my parents pointed fingers at me. It was my fault, I didn’t work hard enough, am not thinking about our kids. and they tried to get us back together. They made me feel horrible for leaving my ex. I wish they would have been understanding because I had no one to lean on for the most part. It was just me and my kids. From time to time I would talk to my aunt or a friend, but I felt like I was burden so I kept it to myself. You are blessed!
It is never your fault. There is no reason for abuse of any kind. It is better that your kids don't grow up in that environment. Sending you hugs and support!
Your parents are sweethearts! My dad didn't believe I was abused for the first 2 years after my divorce, and wow was that hard. So glad you have such wonderful supportive parents!
So glad that you're thriving. It took me much longer at 30 to get to where you're at. It's been five years and I'm still focusing on me and my young boys. I don't think I'll ever be able to trust enough to date again.
You have been blessed with such wonderful parents, Michel! They are so sweet, loving and supportive! Thank all of you for such an open, honest talk. I'm sorry about the circumstances that led to you returning to Texas, but I am so happy you get to be near your family! Wishing you and your family the very best in 2022! ❤
The thing about divorce is, if one person wants out or stops trying, there is no resolution, so in your situation, you did everything you could, but it wasn't enough, you were trying to fill up a cup that had no bottom
I was thinking the same thing. More and more it seems that she was the only one in the marriage and that will never work. I'm glad to hear her starting to except that she did what she could but didn't have a partner who was as committed to the marriage. You can't change people, make them love you.
@@rnjedilaura totally, I feel like initially she probably felt like, oh if I had done this differently or thar, we could have made it work, but like a, marriage, a divorce isn't something that happens over night, it builds and builds, and when one person in the marriage sees divorce as an option instead of trying to work it out, there is no hope
It is awesome that you have your parents' support. I love what your parents said. I received very strong support from my parents, but also from my minister at church when I was a young person going through a divorce. He reminded me that just because someone else broke their vows to me does not mean I broke my marriage vows, even though I was going through a divorce. That made me feel so much better at the time, and now I am reminded of that support and how that lifted me up so that I could move forward in my life and in my relationships. Thank you for reminding people that we can talk about marriage, divorce, changes in life and not be judged even if we are in different places in life, but we can all support each other in whatever "season of life" we find ourselves.
As if I didn’t love you parents already. I totally adore their vues on seperation and marriage and your mom got me crying when she was saying how much you need to be cherished and love in you relationships. I am older but in a probably unhealthy relationship listening to you and your folks talk about what is needed to be successful…. Love it!!! I have a 23 year old son and an almost 21 year old they were both home with us playing board games, enjoying yummy food and making family memories with us this new years eve. Glad to hear Max is doing well...we love our 4 legged family members!
I love that you spent New Years with your parents playing board games. They are so supportive. You should let your feelings unravel and once the pain fades, there is joy. Enjoy this season in your life. It isn’t just about the loss of your marriage; your home…it’s also your new beginning of living your best life for you! Honor your heart.
You have such lovely parents...both with beautiful smiles. At 64 almost 65...in March...I still miss my parents...lived with them 34 years. They were my best friends. In hindsight I wish I had stayed single...some of us are just not meant to be married. Meaning myself...I would not say that for anyone else. Everyone knows best for themselves. My married joy was in having my son...such a good little boy...times have changed and we don't get along like I would love to...but have a deep mothers love for him always. Maybe when he is older and sowed his wild oats...😯 I'm so tired and longing for my heavenly home...what a joy that will be.😊
Honestly Michel I’m enjoying the newly single vlogs more than anything you’ve done so far. Even though your going through a really rough patch, your courage, honesty, excitement and sweet exuberance is so great to watch and I’m so pulling for the new Michel Janse! Go get it Girl!
I agree with your dad friendship is so important in your marriage also God has to be the center of your marriage too. I went through a divorce when I was 25 years old with 2 young boys that was almost 30 years ago but a few years later I met my husband now and we celebrated our 25 year anniversary so you can meet the right man in God's timing. I'm sending prayers to you.
Your parents melt my heart; they are so charming! 2022 is going to be a great year for you. Of course there'll be setbacks and sadnesses along the way but more and more you'll take them in your stride x
Oh wow. I have incredible parents and while my marriage is in a rough patch (2 years of financial exhaustion + being first time parents to a 15 month old) we're ok. Still, your parents' messages made me cry. I think mostly because there are so many people who don't have support and it made me emotional to think that my daughter could go through a season like this. The reality is that most people experience a hard break up in their life and it hit me like a truck that she could experience this. Woah, taking in what your parents say and storing it away

You are blessed with the loveliest, sweetest, most supportive parents...in the world!!! I lost my dad when I was in 6th grade and my mom when I was 30. I went through a VERY emotionally abusive relationship and it would have been so much easier to get through and get out of if I had them. Can I just say the heart to heart with your parents hit me hard. My husband and I have been through a lot. Like... a lot. I've always gone to my mom about these hard times when he completely broke my heart and she always just said, "Marriages are hard. You have to work through it." If I was told what your parents said, my life would be completely different and I'd be okay with that. I love your parents and I am so glad yhey support you and just want the best for you.

I have always admired your kind heart and old soul wisdom and it's crazy to think I am almost as old now as you were when I first started watching your videos. lots of love xx
Be thankful for the time you have with your folks. I miss my dad, and would be honored to spend a New Years in his presence or get a phone call from him (one more time). Nothing to be embarrassed about. I know it means a lot to them, for sure.
Michel ~ this is the best video you have done. Your parents are helping many others because there are indeed many that do not have supportive and understanding parents unfortunately. I’m happily married. However, I don’t have supportive and understanding parents as I feel today. Consider yourself blessed even though you went through a difficult season as we all go through this hard thing called life. Bless you

Your parents are such sweethearts with plenty of great advice. I can see the apple doesn’t fall from the tree. Such joy to watch the three of you ❤️❤️❤️💯

I love your parents! What a blessing to have them in your life🤍 they are a true gift! I’m feeling so hopeful in this new year that you will be able to find so many new treasures in life and experiences that will be so precious.
Also hanging with your parents is cool, have friends time too (so cool that they also do this often) but this is your time to spend quality time with them!
What an awesome video! Your parents ... I have no words - amazing, awesome, beautiful, kind, loving, etc, etc... What a blessed young lady you are and so are they. Congrats to your sister on her up coming wedding. X X X Hope Max is feeling better soon!

You are in the best of it, right now! Take your time and Mr. right will be there before you know it. We all deserve to be wanted in the same way as we want them. I'm wishing you the best of luck with many God's blessings. Oh, cherish your wonderful parents. They are truly your rock.

I’ve never commented on a video on UA-cam, EVER! But I have to say I adore you! Just sending you all the hugs & love & praying all the blessings over your life 🤍
Completely a fellow dog mom. My doggies are such a Blessing in my life. ❤️
When I saw the way your daddy looked lovingly at you when you guys sat down together, it made me tear up. We're always daddy's girls even when we grow up!
I know there are ups and downs in this season, but seeing your parents be so supportive and loving is so touching it brings tears to my eyes 💕
Absolutely loving the chat with your parents. So much WISDOM!! You are so blessed!!
Your parents are the sweetest 2 people!! I am so glad they are there for you and support you. Y'all are an awesome family and you can see the love and support your parents have for you
Michel your parents truly are amazing. Family can be the silver lining in really tough times 💕
Your parents are so authentic and wise. Love this parents chat, thank you for doing this video. So many people can benefit from their advice.
Michel I love your parents ❤❤ May I ask where the white half zip sweater you’re wearing here is from? 😊😊
Can I just say the heart to heart with your parents hit me hard. My husband and I have been through a lot. Like... a lot. I've always gone to my mom about these hard times when he completely broke my heart and she always just said, "Marriages are hard. You have to work through it."
If I was told what your parents said, my life would be completely different and I'd be okay with that. I love your parents and I am so glad yhey support you and just want the best for you.
I am also blessed with amazing parents like yours. Maybe that’s why I’m loving the content with your parents. 💕
You have such sweet and supportive parents. I'm so happy that they are able to support you through this.
We live on the West Coast currently in WA but we were in Dallas, TX with family for the NY and experienced the 70’s one day and snow flurries the next. Wasn’t the first time it was colder in TX than in WA when we were visiting. TX weather is crazy. Ha. Loved your parents accepting and encouraging words. They are a blessing and it’s so lovely to see you appreciate them 🤍
What nice parents. Embrace their love and support. I also had awesome parents. I lost my Dad some years ago..I lost my Mom last week. Cherish your parents ❤️
Love your relationship with your parents. We have same with our kids (three grown adults, between 23 to 30). Family is VERY important.
Your parents are so sweet! Glad you have them there for support
oh this gives all the feels of being re-born, adopted and raised by your parents!!! you are all so wonderful and the conversation is healthy and mature. I love it.... thank you for sharing your spirit.
Your parents advice to us going through something similar made me cry but was also the highlight of my day ♥️ thank you to all three of you for this video.
I love how supportive and close knit your family is with you. I love your parents genuineness. Your family seem like good people. 😀
may have shed a few tears watching that heart to heart :') I feel like I'm part of the smallish percentage of your audience that is younger than you and I just wanted to let you know that you have people who look up to you and admire you!! I have always admired your kind heart and old soul wisdom and it's crazy to think I am almost as old now as you were when I first started watching your videos. lots of love xx
You have the cutest parents! Wish I had parents like yours to help me through this hard divorce phase...💖
I absolutely adore your parents. They are so loving and supportive.
wow your dads advice for what to enjoy in single life is so solid :)
Thank you so much Mr and Mrs Janse ❤ the friend group values your opinions highly!!
Bless you
The love of your parents is a massive blessing. It ministers to me. May your journey forward be filled with continued hope, freedom, healing and peace. Thank you for being vulnerable and real.
I really love ur parents, it makes me miss my parents so much… it’s so good that you live close with them….
When your blessed with great parents the best thing to do is share them often with us all!!

Michel, I’m just so thankful for your parents, and that they are a beautiful influence in your life. I know how important and precious that is. Hold tight to your family. 🙏🏻💕
Amazing words of wisdom from your parents! They are so lovable!!! PS-your hair grew so fast from the last cut you got. Could you make a video on hair products you use. It looks so healthy!

I am so glad you have parents who love you and - even if they might not understand everything going on with your marriage - support you. ❤️
I adore your parents. They are so kind, grounded, with healthy attitudes and boundaries! I see where your awesomeness comes from.
