Agreed. Case needs to give their employees time to get it right. That is my opinion on why we don't get great knives all the time. Some employees take the time and put pride in their work and when they do, you get a better knife. Case needs to boost moral to make it so.
Maybe someday. I have an idea on how to show my knives in larger quantities. I keep mine in knife rolls rather than drawers. (like I see you do). I don't have 13 rolls though.
Hey Tom, Glad to hear from you. Yeah, I may count them out the number of trappers I have someday. It's hard to get them all together as I have most in one place, but a few in another and even some in a storage unit. Some in the mail, and perhaps, some in carts still. But, in all reality, I did get this video out for a couple of reasons, I think my knives in this series are really nice looking and I wanted to help get the word out and 2.) I am hoping to cash in on the views if the series is popular.
@@tombrown4683 Thanks Tom. I am getting my storage sort of figured out, which helps, but sometimes I can't decide. I have lots of trappers that I store together, but then I sometimes store a trapper with a canoe and or a sowbelly or a mini trapper or other knife with the same covers which then can be difficult to remember where it is. Oh well. Hey, you know what is going to be fun when I retire? Cleaning these knives. I have been doing some clean ups and it's more fun than sharpening.
I am in agreement. They do make a lot of stockmans and I am now seeing a lot of sod buster jr's and mini copperlocks, but I think every family release has a trapper and even some trappers don't have families.
The peach seed Pocket Worn Mediterranean blue is really nice! After I got my 75 i just had to order the trapper and sod buster Jr.! Yah! Im one of those guys that collect by bone!😂 ive got 15 Case Trappers and 15 mini trappers. My barlow and Soddys are getting there. Not including my roper frost and RRs!! Rosecraft will be eventually releasing a trapper! Even the older case have been known to have poorly matched covers. Ive seen Calens collection. Also a peanut from the 70s and they were so off it was crazy. I wonder of they do it on purpose?
Oh yeah, I am counting my RR's, Ropers, Frost, all brands to get to my 50, and I agree, the PW blue is excellent cover. I am shopping on eBay a lot to get my knives. You can see it before you buy it. No dealers near me that carry much. I got an Ace Hardware and they care Yellow Delrin and Amber Stainless
I got mine and it is amazing. And the strongest pull of all my case trappers. Its a 6.5 to 7 pull!!. How is yours. Just curious rusty. Wonder if they just pressed my front bolster nice and tight. I love it and hope they do more like this.
Hey brother, I just checked. I would rate mine as a medium pull, 5, 5 1/2 with a touch of drag through the middle. The spey blade is spot on, smooth and about 5 1/2. I would be OK with a 7 pull on a Case trapper. My experience has been the knives will get easier to open after use.
That Mediterranean Blue you have there is a Beauty nicely finnished, like they all should be.....

I enjoy all jigged bone knives. Fantastic looking Trappers. I hope you have a fantastic day today brother. Great hearing from you
Thanks Jason, I appreciate you looking out for my videos and stopping in. I have decided to drop a video now and again to "stay relevant"
@@rustyminer it's good to stay relevant brother
@@jasonbeecher509 Thanks brother.
Pretty knife. You should do an all my trapper videos 😊

Wow 50 Trappers ! Hi Rusty ! That Mediterranean Blue does look good ! I never knew there were so many variations in the way the bone was finished.

@rustyminer Rusty, I know what you mean. Difficult to get an accurate count somewhere after high 20s or so. Wish you much success on those views.

I really like their navy blue but the meditterranean is a very close 2nd. Really great looking knife brother!
I have been eyeballing their Blue knives. I like the shield on this one.
If I had to guess, case makes around 10x as many trapper variants as many other patterns and it’s easy to see why. Knice vid.
