The Tabernacle Choir sings the tender nineteenth-century Christian hymn "God Be with You Till We Meet Again" extolling the wish for divine protection at a time of farewell. Arranged by Mack Wilberg.
Lyrics:
God be with you till we meet again;
By his counsels guide, uphold you;
With his sheep securely fold you.
God be with you till we meet again.
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.
Till we meet, till we meet,
Till we meet at Jesus’ feet,
Till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.
God be with you till we meet again. Amen.
Aired July 29, 2012 from the Music and the Spoken Word broadcast episode 4324.
Rip my dad, mum and brother, God be with till we meet again😢
This is the first song that left my lips after I received the call that my younger sister had died. I envision her at the feet of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, learning from them, being healed by them and being encompassed in their arms of love and protection!
😥
@glass half full i send you my deepest condolences on the sad loss of your little sister - as a sister myself who buried one of my baby brothers when i was nine i absolutely empathise
👍❤️🤜💐
I am taken away by the whole combination of the voices and orchestra not to mention the choir master's skills.
My deepest condolences. We will indeed meet again at the resurrection.
This song knows no Christian denomination boundaries; it is universal and speaks to the hope and knowledge of eternal life with Jesus Christ. I was a young boy in a German from Russia Congregational church when I first heard this sung at the conclusion of a special church gathering. For me, it is not just the ending, but the beginning of the journey!
Although I am not LDS I love the choir! They fill my heart with GODS LOVE! SOMETIMES I WISH I COULD HEAR THE WORDS MORE CLEARLY! I LOVE THIS SONG! GOD BE WITH YOU!
RIP to the soul of our grandmother, Clarita Millado, who just passed away this 5:18 in the afternoon. God be with you 'til we meet again!
After delivering my sister's eulogy at her funeral, I was going to play as we were walking her casket out of the church for her final journey to God. I miss her very much!
I am not a LDS member but I love the spiritual songs of the mormon tabernacle choir
+The Whisperer I am LDS and thank you for your positive comments. We don't all have to be religious to appreciate heavenly songs....greetings from Australia...
LDS believe every good thing comes from God. Mormon Tabernacle Choir was and is God's plan for the benefit of all his children including all religious denomination, kindred and tongues.
I think we have room for one more.
Absolutely just so beautiful. I want this at my funeral.
My Husband and my Mom passed away last year and I dedicate this song to them
I love listening to Mormon tabernacle choir because they just draw my heart close to Heavenly Father......

My father passed away two weeks ago and we sang this song at his funeral. so I also dedicate this to my dad.
My daughter died nearly two years ago. This was played at the end of the service, as we all left the chapel.
My deepest condolences
My grandpa died a month ago. He asked that we played this at his funeral. He died in peace, in his bed.
Till we meet again
I miss my mother... This song is absolutely beautiful and it gives me hope...
Donna Bowles
José Carlos ,
Donna Bowles There is hope! We will see our lost loved ones again!
fantastic my brother
I too miss my mother deeply!!! Love her dearly!!!
Till we meet again my precious husband!
So sorry that a precious part of you is gone, for now. Maybe he has gone ahead to prepare the way for his amazing partner and Queen....
I first heard this song in Virginia 1956. The Christians I met with most always sang this at the end of our meeting together, those were wonderful days. I always carried my Bible with me, every where I went.
There are no words to describe how I feel when I listen to this. Too much emotion involved.
I personally prefer the 'Randolph' version. Cried every time we had to sing it on the last service before the summer holidays and the sixth formers were leaving. This has more of an up-beat hopeful tune, while the 'Randolph' is more of a sad good-bye.
Tarasdad
I feel the same way.
@@abmong Please could you let me have a link to this version? Thank you.

I feel peace when i listen to this wonderful song

My late Dad and Mom God be with you till we meet again
Special dedication to my beloved dad....... may he rst n peace.......
Not a Mormon,or even that religious, but nobody does hymns like this choir.Magnificent.
“Goodbye” is an acronym for “God be with you”.
Beautiful music and lyrics:
God be with you till we meet again;
by his counsels guide, uphold you,
with his sheep securely fold you;
God be with you till we meet again.
Till we meet, till we meet
God be with you till we meet again.
Till we meet, till we meet
till we meet at Jesus' feet;
till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.
God be with you till we meet again.
For those who died this 2020 because of pandemic and because of some disease those who have a good heart RIP til we meet again. Sending prayers for everyone
Such a Beautifull Song, This Song was Sung in The Other Side of Heaven.
dedicated to my mom.may her soul rest in peace.love u
This is one of my favorite benediction/good bye hymns. While it says good bye, it says it for now. When we depart this world, it is not permanent but only temporary. Many of us will be reunited on the other side.
Yes. This song is taken nowadays for being a song for the loss of love ones, but it was originally used at the end of regular church services. “Til we meet again” was referring to when we meet again next week at church. I have to admit I think about my Mom and Dad (who are both deceased), when I listen to this you tube.
Lovely. Takes me back to our little church in Tasmania all those years ago.
I was 8 years old, and it was 1960. My Dad was the pastor of a tiny country church. We were moving to a larger church, and this was the closing hymn of the last service. I started to cry because I looked around the sanctuary, and there were many elderly people there. This was truly a goodbye. Many of the congregants died within a year, some through car accidents. Our lives fell apart when we moved to that next church, and we all regretted the move. Even though this became a song of tragedy to that 8 year old boy, it is a song of extraordinary hope in the knowledge that I will again see and enjoy all those beloved people again.
+srichdway I understand your feelings, I too get tears when I hear this song. I am Mormon and we sing this song at a lot of funerals, but the memory that hurts the most was when this song was sung to our family as our boat pulled out of the harbor in Hamburg Germany in 1951, we were leaving everything and everyone we loved and immigrating to America, I was 8.
+Renate Killian not much of a believer but had to say goodbye to a lot of people with this song... and they sing it so beautifully...
so sad I sang this at my cousins furinal and it. made me feel good inside
Wow… I am thinking about moving to Hamburg in just a few months

Touching story, short it may be; but, touching.
I believe in Christ. I know He is my redeemer. He lives and hears my prayers. Answer in His perfect timing. Is always with me in difficult moments and His holy arm he restores my soul. Rest in Him because it's my company. I will not fear the circumstances, shadows or death. God, the Lord is with me.
Amen, brother!
Amen

Just found out today that my first cousin Mike Tehi died a few months ago. He was such a good man. He is now with my father, his favorite uncle, to whom he bears a striking resemblance. I know that Mike is with all his family and the Lord. He was 77 and suffering from Alzheimer's.
I like this song... It reminds us of the fact that there is truly hope in Christ Jesus... May we live our lives as if it were our last day
In 2015 I lost my Grandmother, she was a mom to me. Everytime I visit her grave I sing this beautiful hymn with no doubt I miss her everyday.
This is the last song I listen to on UA-cam every night.
wildirishrose01 that's a great habit to have. I think I will start doing that too.
Wow. That is brilliant. I will probably start doing that too.
We will surely meet at Jesus feet one day.dear dad
This song is so dear to my heart. At my grandmothers funeral, I conducted this song while my mother played the piano. Every time we hear it we both can't help but cry, of sadness and of joy. When I hear the choir sing the song the spirit firmly testifies to me; we will all see our families again some day.
Amen, I also wait for that time 🙏❤️
When I came home from my mission a few months ago, I was sung this song as was our mission's tradition. One of my favorites.
Till we meet again Dad😭💔
still mis my beloved mom..... till we meet again in Jesus's feet
I love this song, will always give me comfort in remembering my beautiful mother.
I start and fell in love with this song when i was 13 years old. An African boy where i was seeing thousand losing lives at my before.
This is my favorite song Mormon Tabernacle sing!
May all souls who have returned before us, rest from all their earthly cares, and WE, live in the peace and love that we will certainly meet again at the Saviour's feet. I can feel the Spirit of God everytime I hear this song
I remember when my mission president talk with me a day before that my mission was about to end tears falls and can't describe the feeling how much bless to serve with the Lord vineyard seeing the people whom you served and how you grow in the mission field from boy to man...

My mother passed away in 2007 and this is the song my mother's big sister sang for her at her funeral service 😢😢 God has blessed all those whom have passed on for they no longer share in the sufferings of this world but wait on the Lord for the resurrection unto the glory of God's eternal reward. Amen
My fathers favourite hymn
I cannot possibly thank you enough for the messages of hope and love that you so freely give...all of you!
Christ is alive. Glory be to God Almighty! Thank you Lord for saving my soul!

I lost a brother a year ago and I know the pain....but trust in Jesus for he is with you.
Very beautiful, peaceful music 🎵🎶
One wouldn't think that tears can be wonderful, but these are tears of joy when hearing this performance, and as someone else implied, --- homesickness for the past, as well as the future. In my memory book to pass down: my favorite vocal group---the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Incomparable.
I know so many musicians in this world but this is salvation songs.hundred meters far from kofi olomide, fali pupa.....
One of my best songs of all time.. AMEN!!!

True n so do I. I'm not Mormon but their music makes my heart melt..it brings the message clearly
This remains one of the most beautifull hymns I have ever heard. Today it touches me deeply after the lost of a very special person last night.
i missed my Grandmother so much, but i know you are in a better place now. Grandma God be with you till we meet again... my favorite hymn ever
One of the most beautiful songs. Brings peace to the would in the strongest of storms.
The Words of this song and the way this great choir sings it, with that lovely orchestra, builds up a river within my eyes and sends it down my cheeks. As I am typing this comment, my tears are coming down. It is like God saying to me 'till we meet again.' This beautiful Versper is great and touches the souls of those in need of healing. Thank you Mormon Tabernacle Choir may God Bless You All.
