I think Queen Camilla looks great in white. She always looks well put together.
For Maxima it's the fold, it's asymmetric and it creates a weird waistline - it rests on the hips when it should've either been higher or not at all, makes the dress look baggy on her. Necklace also doesn't fit with the dress' neckline.

I think the drape of the dress clashes with the fabric. That design would look great in a thicker, soft knitted fabric for a cosy winter look, but it looks too slouchy for a satin formal gown with flashy jewellery.
and it’s worn with sandals , which do not go with the tiara or necklace…. so each article is lovely, just not together..
I don’t know which is worse, the purple Chanel suit or the hair! Or the disheveled guy in the middle 😩

I do like Queen Letizia’s outfit, specially for the occasion. The top is fashion-forward, imaginative, and architectural -yet soft and wearable. Letizia’s thin frame is just perfect for this piece. The combination of almond and white hues adds intrigue to this design that evoques flat weaving and supports Spanish fashion. The pairing with simple white pants was great, letting all the attention be on the remarkable top.
I was very happy to see this choice. Memorable in a good way.

I actually really like Rania's look, though only thing is that I'm not sure if it's elegant enough for the occasion. That being said, I love the story behind both hers and Princess Rajwa's looks and wish we'd here more like this from other royals.

Agree. The "breastplate" was done in silver, the colour of the jubilee. The only issue I really have with that look of Queen Rania is that she chose a blouse/shirt underneath with collar and buttons, which to me is much more suitable as a business look, but not for a gala event. Hence, the tiara she wore for this ceremony seemed out of place. A non-shirt style for the top portion, under the silver bodice piece, most likely would have done the trick.
Mette Marit is wearing the colors of the Norwegian flag!!! By the way...we don't have much of summer here in northGermany, in Holland and Britain. It's quite chilly, so the Dutch Royals have to cover their bodies a little more now in June.
Very true! We're having a chilly June so far in The Netherlands with temperatures below 20° Celsius. Makes a lot of people still wear their winter clothes.
I think Queen Camilla's look in white was spot on - the silhouette, the shade of white and the HAT, oh, the hat was perfection 👍💯.

I'm going to give Queen Letizia some love: Adolfo Domínguez is not only a Spanish brand, but affordable and made in Spain by actual dressmaker and seamstresses. The clothing is usually pretty minimalist and high-quality. But, from time to time, some of his collections try to do the avant-garde thing, with less than desirable outcomes, generally.
Elegantness?Elegance is the correct word.
For all the royal ladies in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg who favor Natan, I just don’t understand why. Often their fabrics, construction and execution are subpar for a couture house of fashion. I find them lacking.
Actually I don't mind Queen Letizia's top. It's an interesting design that suits her.

I think Queen Maxima's raspberry gown is stunning. The asymmetrical drop waist is quite of the time -- contemporary chic. The pleats on the shoulders are a subtle twist to an otherwise serene but flawless tailoring. Very quiet luxury.
Queen Rania’s bustier was a horrible mistake. If she’d left it off and worn a different white shirt(if that one was as sheer as it looks)she would’ve looked so much better I think. She normally dresses very elegantly. I do hope that outfit was an aberration and we won’t see the like again.
Maxima's burgundy gown would go better with more simple, modern style jewelry. Those classical ornate pieces clash with the dress's simple lines. Mathilde's printed fabric would be a lot better in a more modern style of dress. What "killed" the Monaco pantsuit for me was the color. And you're so right about the Luxembourg situation...

I have never heard or read that the beautiful diamond and pearl shell brooch (worn by QCamilla on D Day) was a part of the Greville (please note that there is no “N” in that name) bequest but it was left to Queen Elizabeth (the future Queen Mum) during WWII, the same era as the Greville bequest. A very reliable and easily accessible source for info on royal jewels is The Court Jeweller blog. Here’s what they reported about this brooch in the Nov 3, 2023 post:
“The jewel, which is known as the Courtauld Thomson Scallop-Shell Brooch, was made in London by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co., Ltd. It was designed in part by Sir Courtauld Thomson, who was the son of a famous Scottish inventor. His sister, the writer Winifred Hope Thomson, ended up with the piece. Winifred left the brooch to Queen Elizabeth, better known to us later as the Queen Mother, in 1944.“. I hope this helps!!!
The Shell Brooch is not from the Greville bequest.

Maxima has access to some HUGE diamond stud earrings and riviere necklaces, as well as the Dutch Diamond Bandeau. I think those would have looked better with the Natan dress. I don't think the Peacock Parure was a good choice with that dress.

I LOVE sweaters and coats . . . but I live in Houston, so I can only comfortably wear them for about 3-4 weeks every year.
Unfortunately, Princess Stephanie has a long history of looking VERY frumpy. She looked GREAT on her wedding day . . . and that's about it. I don't know if it's the case of Maria Teresa not giving her enough money to get a decent wardrobe, but frankly Stephanie could buy her entire wardrobe from Zara and H&M and look better than she does.
Amalia is a little plump, unlike the other women in her immediate family, and sadly I don't think she gets a lot of guidance on how to dress her figure. And Mambo ALWAYS steals the show.
I agree with you about Rajwa. I saw the photos earlier today, and she looked AMAZING. She looks fantastic in red. Yes, that is Princess Muna, the king's mother, in the burgundy dress next to Rania. She's actually British-born.

QMaxima’s raspberry gown was worn a few years ago for an official portrait and it really worked in that instance. I just think the gown has too much fabric and is rather blah to be a gala gown. I’ve wondered for a while if the Ruby Peacock necklace has its own tiara frame. It really looks like it could be a tiara! QRania’s 25th anniversary outfit really is odd. If I need to read an explanation from the designer to understand a garment, the garment doesn’t work. It needs to register just by seeing it and this one of Rania’s doesn’t pass that test.

I love Queen Maxima’s floral dress. It’s perfect with the hat. . Charlotte Cassarogi’s hair needed to be fixed. Beatrice Borromeo always looks great. I’m not sure I agree with you about Queen Camilla in white. She doesn’t look bad but when she wears some color , she really looks great. That Dior coat is to die for. I don’t like the bustier on Queen Rania’s dress, in fact, there’s very few dresses I like it on. If her mother-in-law holds the purse strings and makes the Princess Stephanie wear such horrid outfits, she has my sincere sympathy. Princess Rajwa is lovely. Thank you Brittany, I think that purple lilac Chanel outfit was too fussy to wear the vest and the jacket together, a plain/contrast vest would have looked better. Queen Maxima's red long skirt oufit would have worked better IMO with either a long chain drop more casual necklace or more formal, neater pumps.
Maxima wears to much jewelry!..the tiara would have been enough!..but she just couldn't control her penchant for blings!..thinking perhaps that she needs to jazz up that rather simple red gown.. She should have stuck to the "Less is more" look...
Maxima's whole outfit was fighting itself. She wore too much jewelry with that red dress. Red is a powerful color. She should have left off the necklace and tiara. She also wore the wrong shoes. They were too fussy and should have been a pump or simple strappy sandal. And finally, her makeup was garish - too much dark liner and too bright red lipstick.
But then again she's Maxima!..she's always been this way (style wise).. putting it all out!..In contrast, you have the likes of the understated Mette Marit or even the sartorially elegant Queen Letizia..Maxima's other equivalent is Grand Duchess Maria Teresa..
Said wit total love and respect. Please be careful when your voice hits the high notes, like when you start a sentence, it can be high and loud enough to hurt our ears. Otherwise, you have shown so much improvement, congratulations on the hard work.

The princess of Orange, Amalia has had a lot of online backlash for her figure over the years, up to the point where she got called obese! So the 'covering up' with the blazer could be prompted by insecurity and I don't think she deserves that.
You're using the word overweight, but I don't agree. In the line of the Orange family we can see some 'sturdy' body types, so to speak; like the late queen Wilhelmina, Amalia's great great grandmother. It must be challenging for her to see her two younger sisters taking more after their mother.
I like the red white and blue outfit and the red and white outfit but photographed side by side to me it looks like they swapped pants and jackets-

Queens Maxima needed a belt with the red dress. The drape at the waist would have made sense and looked on purpose if it had been defined by a belt. As it was worn, it just looked poorly fitted.
Queen Maxima needed an embellished belt to break up the monotonous color and weird waist. It should have been more fitted.

Queen Maxima’s dress needed a broach not a necklace with the boat neck or long pearls. Also it needs a back slit instead of the front. The neckline was not fitting very well either. I love the drop waist design.

Grand Duchess of Luxembourg - Stephanie's outfit -it's a 1920's style (I've been watching Agatha Christie's Poirot) - unfortunately, she just doesn't have the figure for it - you need to be tall & flat as a board for this style to be flattering!

I feel that Charlotte’s outfit would have worked with a different shoe. There’s a lot going on with the detailing of the clothing, a plain pump in the same colour seems indicated here. And perhaps the hair loose & styled?

I am in my early 70's and though, I wear jeans and heavy boots, "young looking", I realize that now certain clothing doesn't look good or flattering on my body, as we age the body changes and wrinkles on the neck go south...
Exactly the same case as in grand duchess Stephanie, that jumpsuit looks atrocious in somebody so young as it makes her body look heavy and shapeless
@@laduchesse I guess the objection was to the qualifyer, "she looks good _for her age"_ which kind of implies that only tbe young can truly look good or beautiful. The question of "mutton dressed as lamb" or whether or not 70+ year olds still "can" wear jeans and knee-high boots, is something different yet. 😉😊

I'm usually not fan of queen Maxima's fashion, especially that ONE. I think for me the hair is didn't really go with that dress nor the shoes. I'd have preferred if it was just a normal pump instead of that "sandals." The necklace is wrong as well.
