The Yorkies did that on purpose. They looked like Cinderella’s evil stepsisters
there's a rumour that they have this sort of jealousy with Catherine right from the start which they are actually proving seeing how they support the runaway duo. Well, the jokes on them, they ended up the laughingstock of the wedding
Watched it live, and Princess Catherine was absolutely beautiful. ❤
She was amazing!!
And Princess Catherine is still amazingly beautiful and elegant and stunning inside and out
Catherine and Phillippa shone at the wedding ❤
The unfortunate choices of headwear made the York girls come across as Cinderella's stepsisters. IMO.
Definitely 👀
It was so bad, and so sad as they can look lovely! Thanks for watching!!
They looked ridiculous!! I mean these people can have anything they want and they picked the most unflattering things to wear!
@@RoyalFashionNews .....they obviously have their Mother's peculiar Sense of Style.
........and 8:08....T.P. Thomkinson looks as though she's wearing a Giant Shoe on her head.
The Yorkies obviously got their fashion sense from their mother. I'm assuming Edo has been the positive influence on Beatrice's fashion choices since they married. It seems Eugenie's style really hasn't evolved much..
They absolutely did look like something out of 'Cinderella'.
Beatrice appears to have improved and Eugenie, but her second wedding gown was pretty but reminiscent of Madonna 'coned boob' era. I struggled to like it but there was something likeable about it, just not the 'coned' décolletage.
Those hats were awful!
I think Beatrice and Eugenie dressed like this out of spite. They never gave Princess Catherine a chance. They are jealous of her
Why do you say that? I know Princess Eugenie has shown some unattractive behavior towards The Princess of Wales, but I was not aware of animosity by Beatrice.
This was the most beautiful and serene wedding in my lifetime and that includes Princess Diana's in my opinion. I felt pure joy!
It was so lovely!’
I remember staying awake for the wedding not because I liked any of the Royals but because it was an epic wedding and I was raised by Martha Stewart Living television show and magazines so it was a must watch for the beauty But as a couple and a family, they’re equally as beautiful and inspiring. Wishing them many more happy and healthy anniversaries. 🙏🏻🕊️🤍
I thought Diana’s gown was awful. Catherine’s was perfect in nearly every aspect.
Not really.
@spiritualtruthseeker1947
Yes, I remember the shock as the then Lady Diana got out of the car. That dress swallowed her whole. It looked two or even three sizes too big.
I thought Pippa was gorgeous, it seemed almost as if she was a part of Catherine's gown. Not saying that she wasn't beautiful on her own, but it's as if she was a part of the ensemble. It was so sweet Pippa holding hands with the little ones. Beautiful wedding.
I love that Catherine wasn't insecure in any way and was so happy to show off her sister and let her shine too. That shows what an amazing person she is. Not many brides would be happy to do that and I agree, their dresses do compliments one another seamlessly. They were both stunning 😍
I think Chelsey didn’t want to get burdened with the perennial three year old that is Harry.
agreed, if Harry was a decent person she could have handled the media glare but Harry is a jerk
If no one else has mentioned it, Beatrice sold or auctioned off her fascinator and donated the proceeds to charity-what a beautiful thing to do (with a not so beautiful item)!
She got a lot of bad pushback, she had to do something to save her imagine. Don’t trust those two
What else would she do with it? Would she ever wear it again? Maybe use it to dry clothes? Use it as a scarecrow?
I love how confident Catherine was within herself to allow Pippa to shine alongside her. Their dresses complimented one another beautifully. It speaks to how close they are as sisters and what a beautiful bond they share. It was an absolutely beautiful and joyous wedding.
Happy 13th Wedding Anniversary to William and Catherine ❤❤❤
I watched this wedding and it was beautiful from beginning to end.
Happy anniversary to William and Catherine.
Yes, happy anniversary!
Now thats a Royal wedding!
Wonderful choice of topic to compliment Wales' anniversary
Glad you liked it!
Sophie Wessex’s outfit was so lovely that day but her very presence there was an incredible feat of endurance. Just a few days before the wedding she was injured in a fall from her horse and was taken to hospital. She had one broken rib and several more ribs were badly bruised (bruised bones are very painful and take ages to heal). Injured ribs are simply left to heal on their own so Sophie just had painkillers to help her cope with the pain. If you watch video from the day you can notice her moving very carefully and there are some touching moments captured of Edward watching her quite closely, no doubt worried about her pain level and comfort. Sophie was such a trouper to get dressed up and attend that major event when I’m sure she would have preferred to just stay at home and rest!
It was my first time in England and I dragged my boyfriend (now husband) to catch the first tube to Westminster so we could get a good spot and WE DID, it was incredible and I'm a royal fan since then.
Great topic today, Brittany.
I thought Catherine was beautiful. You could almost feel her nervousness.
Eugenie & Beatrice were straight out the Cinderella story as the step sisters.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡
I agree! I say that all the time-they are definitely the ugly step sisters!
They seem very mean, as well.
It was thought the two sisters dressed badly owing to the fact they did not like Catherine.
They are a pair of clowns, just like their Mother. iMO
Princess Charlene of Monaco looked effortlessly elegant, statuesque and so graceful. She was simply stunning. Carol Middleton looked lovely. Thank you for another great video!!!
Loved that Beatrice took the negative press about her hat in her stride. Princess Beatrice expressed her gratitude after an eBay user bought her unusual royal wedding hat for £81,100. The proceeds from her hat went to Children in Crisis and Unicef,
I remember reading somewhere that the York girls were upset that their mother wasn’t invited to the wedding and were acting out with their appearance. If true, it doesn’t speak well of them or their upbringing.
I always think, I’d hate to be stuck sitting next to or behind someone wearing one of those UFO hats
Maxima’s blush hat was decorated with a few antique diamond star brooches, noticeable only in closeups. Those stars adorned her own wedding tiara back in 2002! Such a romantic touch!
Wonderful wedding, a proper royal wedding. And wonderful times. Once in a while I rewatch it on UA-cam.
Pippa and Princess Catherine are priceless classy ladies. I thought Bea and Eugene wore those gawdy hats on purpose. They're so jealous of the Princess. They look like homely step sisters.
🇬🇧 The sisters in Cinderella are wearing the same colours and hats as Eugenie and Beatrice. Also Cinderella and the Prince look very similar as well in the Disney cartoon 1950
I watched the wedding too! The things I remember the most were Pippa Middleton and how gracious I thought Catherine was to allow her sister to look so nice in such a prominent position and of course the York sisters! I couldn’t believe they dressed like that and actually thought they were disrespectful showing up looking like “the ugly stepsisters” from Cinderella. It looked purposeful.
I agree! 🎯
Couldn't agree more. Catherine was happy to show off her beautiful sister proudly to the world. It speaks to how secure Catherine is within herself and how close they are as sisters. The Middleton's should be so proud of the beautiful family they have raised.
Gawd; I cringe every time I see Eugenie's dress and wonder who in the world approved that look. Why didn't her mom do the responsible thing and prohibit this monstrosity?
The hat was Sold after the wedding and raised a great deal of Money for Charity It was all approved by both William and Catherine...all parties knew it would be a talking point...and afterwards collectors would pay huge sums to have it....
Thats how Kind those Girls are !!
I wonder if it was done on purpose to stand out we know Eugene is jealous of Catherine but it back fired badly
Because her mother has just as hideous taste in clothes as Eugenie has.
@@hotoneinspaiThat’s completely untrue.
You clearly have never seen their mother’s fashion choices.
They got married the weekend of my 30th birthday party. Got back to the hotel, very tipsy, and it was just starting on TV so I watched the whole thing and ugly cried until 6am. It was beautiful 😍 (them not me)
Aww, that’s so sweet! I love it!! What a memory!
I'm going to defend the platform. The platform take the pressure off the ball of the foot, especially the hallux. Just a 1/2 centimeter rise elevates the ball off the ground and makes wearing heels so much more tolerable.
Anyone else notice this?
Yes, I agree. I really like the 'platform' in that they still give the appearance of height, yet are MUCH more comfortable to wear. I think that calling the ones worn during this shoe trend 'platforms' is actually not quite in fitting with the traditional use of that term. Back in the 70's, platform shoes were very obvious & designed to be attention seeking due to their design.
However, the "platforms" as they are being called here are NOT the same. I think these have been designed to be mostly discrete...most ppl don't even notice that they have an elevating factor to them. So I rebel using that term for these mostly lovely shoes & to comparing them with the 'platform shoes' of the 1950's to 1990's. Apples to oranges....
Yes. Anyone disparaging platforms must not have bunions, bone spurs or bad feet. If so, they would understand that beauty does know pain no longer wear heels except platforms and if someone in my church or meeting I attend makes light of them, I ignore them for lacking common sense.
Beatrice’s hat screams “I’m thinking Arby’s”!!! 😳😂
Haha, that’s awesome!!
I don’t know what that means but I bet it’s funny. I think they dressed like that deliberately as an insult to Catherine. They did not like her ( though Beatrice has come around), they thought her a commoner. Funny thing is, so is their mother! It was supposed to be funny and just take away from ‘her day’. Very teenagerish’. Spiteful 🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
Look up the “I’m Thinking Arby’s” commercials. The Arby’s logo appears above their heads…looks like a fascinator. 😂
Wow, I should hope they didn't look down on Catherine. At least Catherine is bringing in some good looks, which the royal ladies lack. Especially Beatrice. Sorry, I know that's not nice. I'd rather be a commoner with good looks rather than royalty with none.
@@gonefishing167: Not only is Fergy 'common,' she's also vulgar.
A true and beautiful PRINCESS. GORGEOUS, STUNNING and ELEGANT PRINCESS 💗❤️💗❤️💗
Do you think Beatrice & Eugenie look crazy on purpose?
Yes, attention seeking. Jealous of Catherine IMO
I think Beatrice and eugenie dressed like they did as a sort of ‘not nice’ lark. Deliberately. ( though Beatrice has thawed). Eugenie has always been jealous of Catherine I think and they thought she was an upstart, a commoner. They were princesses!!!!!!! Funny though because their mother is a commoner. Fascinators that one would be appalled at wearing. Yikes. Thank you Brittany 🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
If this is true, it may have been more to do with protest at their mother not being invited.
Haha I love platform shoes but I’m a child of the seventies 🤣🤣
But don't you think the platform shoes of the 70's were an entirely different thing than the shoes these ladies were wearing? I think so... To call both these trends as 'platforms' seems unfair....
Beautiful wedding❤❤❤.
Thank you so much!!
I was on the Mall for the wedding, brilliant atmosphere. The service was broadcast over loud speakers.
I thought Victoria Becham looked lovely in her blue dress especially since she was pregnant. Her hat wasn't over the top and I have to give her the shoes because they were in style at the time.
I agree…she looked very stylish to me. I just wish she would get over not liking her smile…her expression has always left me cold; she looks snobby and it wasn’t until recently that I knew the reason. I have since seen her lovely smile in commercials where she has shown her sense of humor and I like her more now. I don’t have Netflix so I haven’t watched the Beckham’s show which I understand was a big hit.
I agree 100%. I even liked the shoes. Certainly did not deserve the "Worst List".
Victoria Beckhams shoes make her look like she’s wearing ballet shoes and walking en pointe.
I think they look great...and as you say, they give her almost a delicate look...they are not the hideously giant, clunky platform shoes of the 70's.
Actually I have to say that the shoes made her feet look like hooves 😂!!!
Of course I watched their wedding live at 2 am California time!!❤
Love every detail of Maxima's look!❤🎉😊
It’s lovely, isn’t it!
Yes our queen is 9 out of 10 spot on.But sometimes its ugh
I missed watching the wedding. On the 27th my city was hit with a tornado. We were without power almost a week & there was no cell service. Also, my brother passed away two days before the tornado. Thank God the tornado didn’t hit my house.
Oh no!! How scary! I’m so glad you are okay! And, though it’s silly, I’m so happy you were able to watch the wedding!
I remember this day well. I worked at an assisted living facility. All the residents watched this wedding. Their reactions were so fun to watch.❤😊❤
What a fun video Brittany! I remember watching their wedding as well as Diana’s years before❤
Aww, thank you so much!!
Thank you Brittany for your video of the best and the worst dressed of Catherine and Williams wedding day. I loved Catherine’s dress, for me it was just right. Diana’s had been over the top and she emerged crushed and wrinkled, Princess Anne’s wedding dress was also lovely with the medieval style sleeves, Meghan’s dress needs four things, a few more fittings, a more muted shade ( crisp virginal white was not appropriate for her second or even third appearance in a wedding dress) a good pressing and lastly she should have gone for a sophisticated hairstyle with hair adornments and no veil, ( again she was no vestal virgin marrying for the first time).
I do think that Carol Middleton looked ever inch the perfect Mother of The Bride
This showed us just how lovely and how confident Catherine is in her own skin, she was not in the slightest bit threatened by sharing the limelight with her beautiful sister on her big day .
MM didn’t even want Charles in the frame on her day! That says it all really lol 😜
I rewatched the wedding too. It was such a beautiful day.
And Beatrice’s eye make was soooo absurdly dark!
Thanks for the nice trip down memory lane.
Pipa !!! Looked the best❣️
Thank you for ALWAYS bringing us the strongest content!! 👑 🇺🇸
Thank you so much!!
@@RoyalFashionNews You’re so welcome! Sending love and wishes from Alabama! 🥰 💗
I refused to wear platform shoes during that time as I wore the platform shoes back in the early seventies and the shoes were ugly then.
I can see why they’re comfortable, but they don’t always look the best. Thanks for watching!!
And it backfired good style for both of them, they were ridiculed so bad for it.
But don't you think that the shoes the ladies were wearing in this video were a different animal than the platform shoes of the 70's? I think it's unfair to consider them the same thing....
This was so great! Sometimes you wonder what people actually see in the mirror! Love your commentary.
Princess Catherine is always gorgeous, classy, and royal. I'm glad you have your channel so we can see all things royal. ❤
The Middleton women were all a credit. Loved Mom's classy outfit (style, color & fit - no garish print or color to distract from the Queen); Pippa's dress was strategically streamlined & simple to 1) enhance her figure yet 2) not overpower her sister and brownie points for NOT wearing a hat and 3) I thought Catherine's gown was the best all ALL the royal gowns I've ever seen. Personally, I loathe the British custom of necessitating headgear and would be very unhappy to sit behind these monstrosities. And oh Lord, Royal Ascot is coming.... Honorable mention: Charlene of Monaco.
You don’t wear a hat with a bridesmaid dress, and l think our hats are great fun, especially at Royal Ascot.
The attention to detail with Catherine's dress was impeccable. When you see it close up it is even more spectacular and it fit her like a glove. That lace was a absolutely stunning and I love that she did her own make-up so she would look like herself. Just incredible! It's my all time favourite too.
@@lizbignell7813 I would move to the UK just for the hats. I absolutely love them!
@Lainers, you would be most welcome.
No the most elegant and beautiful wedding gown was Helen Taylor as she became - the daughter of Katherine Worsley and the Duke - the dress was understated but so beautiful in it's simplicity. It knocked spots off the rest.
Peace out 🇬🇧🏴🏴🍀
That was a most enjoyable recap. I gasped when I saw Pippa…I thought her look was incredible. The York sisters were just ridiculous but I do agree that Beatrice’s coat & shoes were quite nice. The hat was crazy and Eugenie looked a mess from top to toe.
SueMe said Beatrice and Eugenie look that get advice on how to dress from a clown 🤡 school.
I remember that day, I was so young and at school our English teacher let us watch it. To us it felt like a fairytale, such a key memory.
Lovely run through of the ladies' fashions at the Wales' weddung., some of which I hadn't really noticed before.
Loved this! What a fab idea. Really enjoyable. I adored Pippa's bridesmaid dress too, even liked it better than her wedding gown.
It’s really, really weird to think that HRH’s George, Charlotte and Louis were not there!!
I’m getting old 😅
Another GREAT one, Brittany!! Victoria looks great and that dress! Zara looks like she has black hair!
Beatrice and Eugenie were epic fails.
I didn’t pay much attention to royal family stuff back in the day, but after William and Catherine’s wedding I started getting phone calls from friends saying that Catherine copied my dress! 😂
Our dresses were very similar! (I liked my sleeves better, though). I helped design it with a Toronto designer, so it was custom designed, in silk satin and lace, but it only cost $2500, not 250,000- 😮
It’s fun to see Catherine’s wedding photos because it reminds me of my own wedding-and I sincerely hope their marriage is as happy as mine is. ❤
Get well soon, Catherine! ❤️🙏❤️🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧❤️
I think Victoria become dress is lovely and she carried it well.
I think she looked GREAT; especially considering she was 8 months pregnant.
Brittney, the late Queen shared your views on platform shoes!! There is a wonderful photo of her greeting the Turkish President and his wife arriving at Buckingham Palace and staring wide eyed, head down at an angle, as she just cannot believe the shoes!! I think it is about the only time I have seen our late Queen allow a crack in her composure. It appeared in the Daily Mail and is well worth a visit to Google if you have time.
I think her reaction was more about the 6 inch almost stiletto heel than the platform of the boot.
...........the "last two" on this video are indescribably DREADFUL as usual - they HAVE NO CLUE. WHATSOEVER & probably even wear this stuff for a laugh!.
Get well soon Princess Catherine, we miss you xx
Hi beautiful Brittany! Speaking of beauty, I have always thought Kate, now princess Catherine, is stunningly beautiful herself! I love love her and William together! I am now subbed to you here and of course at the first channel I found you, Royal News Network, super love you on both; well done indeed!
You’re so right. I have learnt so much more about the other royal families because of you. I knew of some of their history via the Tea Time channel but it was Royal News Network that got me REALLY interested
I loved this day ❤.
Tara Palmer Tomkinson passed from a perforated ulcer. Not drug related issues.
Drugs, prescription or otherwise, can cause ulcer's... Even ibuprofen has warning labels because it's notorious for causing that & other GI issues. Excessive alcohol & smoking also contributes to this diagnosis & cause of death. The term 'perforated ulcer' was likely technically correct, but my assumption is a person her age would not have developed something like that without the substance use & abuse issue.
What a shame! Such a young woman.
I liked Beckham dress and hat.
OMG I loved my platforms. lol they’ll probably come back again.
They’re coming back a bit, but I can see why they’re also not that attractive. 😅 They’re definitely more comfortable! Thanks for watching!!
I've been binge watching this channel lately. Great job!
Awesome! Thank you! I’m so glad you’re enjoying it!!
Lovely retro! Well done, excellent!
I too watched it live and concur with your choices, bost best and worst. The York Princesses really displayed poor taste and wicked attention seeking.
A huge blemish on otherwise a fabulous day.
Hard to believe it's 13 years ago...
You can even see from their weddings how different William and Harry are, Prince William's ceremony was understated and classy, the ceremony filled with dignitaries and European royalty, whereas Harry and Meghan's was filled with Oprah, celebrities neither knew and NO family....
I took the day off work so i could watch it! It was amazing! ❤
Catharines wedding dress was MUCH BETTER than Princess Gracie of Monaco 🇲🇨 😊
My favourite outfit from that day was Lady Sarah Chatto in a beautiful Steel Grey dress which had a sunray pleated skirt. She always looks classy and immaculate
The coat dress Autumn Kelley wore reminds me of one Princess Anne has. I wonder if she borrowed it. Unfortunately Fergie has rarely been on a best dressed list so its no surprise her daughters can't pull it together either. Beatrice has really upped her game since marrying Edo. I wonder if he has any input or maybe she got a stylist.
I agree that Bea must be using a stylist now. If not, whatever she is doing, keep it up because Bea has looked terrific since marrying Edo.
Era relevant, please. The shoes were fine in their time, & second time around. I remember their first outing back in the 70s, I think.
Liked your presentation!!! Agreed!!! Best of all ...Pippa...just cannot get over her figure!!! Watched the wedding...what a JOYOUS DAY!!! ❤😊
This was fun!
But Beatrice auctioned that hat for allot of $. Then I felt better about it lol
She made sure she'd never wearing again haha
Love Queen Maxima’s look!!!!
What a beautiful idea for a video on Prince William and princess Catherine’s Anniversary! Thank you Brittney🌷💕
I eoke @ 8 am and watched the Royal wedding 💒💍 and proceeded to watch the wedding over and over the whole weekend weekend. Did the same thing when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex married.
I love this! So fun!
I loved Tara Palmer Tomlinson's outfit. It was stunning, so we have to agree to disagree. One could despair about the continuous unfortunate fashion choices of the York girls and wonder who on earth was advising them to get their style so wrong. At this wedding E looked a total fright, but B was more demure except for the mad hatters tea party head gear. I wore platforms in the 70's with the only benefit being, they kept stockinged feet drier in puddles. Thanks Brittany for the trip down memory lane.
Love this, thanks!
Zara's outfit with different fabric (something less shiny, that is) and colour would've been absolutely perfect imo. 😍
Really enjoyed this, thank you.
I would be thrilled to see this video get massive views to put their ever-enduring popularity and their ever-enduring love on full display.
What a fun show!! Well done!! 🩵
I really like this video:). It moved quickly and it is really fun to look back at these big events with a new perspective. Love seeing all the different royals now that we know them a bit better from your education:)!
Such a fun idea for a video! You're right- before your channel I knew nothing about any other royal families except the Brits, so it was really cool to go back and rewatch the wedding now knowing a bit about them!
I enjoyed this video so much I remember watching the royal wedding like yesterday and love PW and PC so much and have all the magazines of the wedding. Your video was awesome.
Loved the video! You should do the same with other (older) weddings. Keep up the good work!!!
So glad you don't sound like you are yelling now you have your new equipment, I can now listen with out squinting my eyes due to the loudness, it sounded screechy but no more. Love your channel.
Great idea going back for best and worst list from William and Kate's wedding!
So excited when I saw this video!
I love this content, Brittany, This channel is so much fun.
Tara passed away from a perforated ulcer... She also had other serious medical conditions
