Poor Charlene. She looks like a sweet girl in old ladies clothes. I think she would look amazing in some Jackie Kennedy inspired outfits. She has girlie features and some of those shorter, straight cut 60s dresses would look so amazing on her with her more athletic body type.
She ALWAYS looks so miserable, like if she could be anywhere else, doing ANYTHING else, she'd be gone.

The first picture of Queen Mary was so pretty. She looked elegant and seemingly appropriate. Aging doesn't have to be drab or desperately clinging onto youth; it is a beautiful thing that should be celebrated.

I always say, Maxima by name, Maxima by nature. She has fun with her clothes and jewelry. It doesn't ALWAYS work, but she always looks like she's having a blast, no matter where she is. I love her zest.
Megan Markle has plenty of money to spend on her wigs and hair pieces but you wouldn't know that because the actual hair on her wigs look so damn CHEAP!!🤮🇺🇲

I always love Queen Mary. She can’t go wrong in my eyes. She maintains a youthful appearance even in her 40’s almost 50’s but stunningly appropriate. Of course Worst dressed is the Meg! Princess Sophia's worst dressed pants with jacket: I'm 65 and I wouldn't wear it! Just because we're mature doesn't mean we don't dress nice. Who on earth wears a jacket with sleeves that are shorter than the blouse underneath? So, no, it is not even a look for someone over 50.
Sad to say, the days of ultra-class and beauty are gone forever. Not a single celebrity or royal can hold a candle to Jackie Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn, Katherine Hepburn (in those wide leg man pants she introduced), Doris Day.
You should think about going back in time and pulling up pics of those incredibly fashionable ladies. They could put on a simple blouse and skirt with a pair of sunglasses on the top of their heads and voila! Simply stunning. They even carried themselves better. Perfect posture, beautiful long, easy strides walking, gracefully sitting.
Too many have become lazy slobs! No offense to you. It’s them😂

Maxima’s dress looks too small across the bust and is so horribly wrinkled. When isn’t MM on the worst dressed list? Why is she wearing a sweater in 80 degree weather? The legs crossed makes it look like she has to go pee.

Just my opinion, I would switch the Duchess of Edinburgh (yellow dress/blue hat as best dressed) to Princess Charlene's red jumpsuit.

Also Queen Maxima's orange ruffle outfit must be one of her worst, as is Queen Mary's dress she wore meeting the Danish olympic team.

One more observation: the 2 tone green outfit one of the Hanover Princesses wore must be THE best dressed, followed by Queen Mary's burgundy dress (dinner for their yacht crew) and Maxima's black outfit (concert).

The blue hat which Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh wore with the pretty yellow dress reminded me of hats which were in style about 50-60 years ago. I couldn’t help but wonder if she had been going through the late Queens collection or that of her own mother and thought I will pay homage to them. 😊
I’m pretty sure it’s the Swedish royal family that requires anyone in the line of succession to be raised in Sweden. (I think they also have to be educated there as well.)
@@mariabunch3541 yes it is Sweden and l think it is a very good rule that should be adopted in the UK. When the 5th,6th & 7th person in line to the British Throne it is ridiculous, especially as the children know nothing of the royal family.

It's amazing how many of these ladies are on both lists, it goes to show how important picking the right outfit is. My favorite look was Beatrice's first outfit, my least was the frilly orange look of Maxima.
The wide belts, or cummerbunds, are my favorite type of belt. They work well for those of us who have waists and would like to show them off. I used to buy clothes from a small designer in the East Village of Manhattan, and she used cummerbunds almost exclusively. Her clothes were similar to those of Donna Karan - this was in the early 1980’s.
Queen Matilda often looks kind of dowdy, but I love the peachy dress on her!!

There are a few I really love in this fashion parade tray, but I will mention the first one I don’t like -I find unattractive, unsuitable and unremarkable! The Meghan Markle neutral color box dress/shift. Why was that dress so expensive? What was it made of? There was no shimmer, no exquisite texture or design to it. Was it cashmere, Egyptian cotton? An exciting belt and matching shoes in a lovey foot would have made a huge difference. A very “blah” dress worn badly.
I think my overall favorite outfit worn well and with flair is Princess Beatrice’s polka dot skirt/dress with classy, sharp blazer. Everything from accessories to fit was eye catching in a flattering style. Would be appropriate for several body types. But,…. I really loved Alessandra’s two toned green gown, Queen Mary’ gorgeous, dark colorful, stylish gown, …. and the vibrant red, architectural, perfectly fitting jumpsuit!!! The last 3 outfits I mentioned were outstanding and suited the women like they were bespoke garments, designed specifically for them. Princess Beatrice’s could be more adaptable and enhance a lot of women if styled right … IMO. 👗👡👒🥿👚👛🕶🧥👖

The hat is a farm hat. Very Portuguese. They are great, don’t blow off but stop the sun.

Brittany these ladies are always out and about and want something different to wear. Your criticism of some of them seems to indicate that you want them to have kind of a uniform. Let them have ruffles in different colors and fabrics. None of us would want to wear the same thing year in and year out!

I have to disagree with yellow and navy are a great color combination…maybe if Sophie’s dress had a navy pattern, the colors would blend more. I LOVE hats, so it does’t bother me that much. Great coverage of all the royal fashion! Just want to mention, Gianvito is pronounced more like “John Vito” and there’s no emphasis placed on the i when it comes after a g. Hope you don’t mind me mentioning it!
Mixing textures and colors is something Markle has done since her Tig days ( I never followed it but HG Tudor did a parody ). Anyone , in one post she suggested wearing a leather jacket with a lacy sundress . I suppose might consider this part of her style, just as she does the neutral colors.

For me the red jumpsuit makes the worst dress list because the fit on the top was terrible and bare shoulders at a royal appearance is inappropriate. If she were going out clubbing maybe but the cut and design does nothing to inhance her figure.
