That’s the denim jacket fit. Everything else is a version of how it is designed to fit (tight in the shoulders but with high armholes so you can work in it).
I always stick to chinos, with the following guidelines. Dark wash with lighter chinos, and lighter wash with darker chinos. Denim on denim is too trendy for me and most guys don’t know to pull off the two washes.

Hi Parker, I just inherited my Dads Two Decade old Black Denim Jacket, used to be true black, but looks distressed faded black now, I have the size figured for alterations, but there’s hardly any content on how to style this Jacket, so could you suggest some styles? Also, should I have it dyed to true black again? I don’t wanna buy a new one as this holds immense emotional value to me. Ps: Apologies for being a bother, but I am new to the game, and Your style is impeccable, so I wanna learn from the best. :) Also, congratulations on hitting 20K man, you deserve to be at the diamond play level :)

Your casual & street look was good but dressy was out of place. Your tie was hanging really low. I also think you should have gone with a slimmer tie. A solid color shirt like a white dress shirt with a black slim tie would have have changed the game.
I would recommend getting a men's. Usually a women's will have the buttons on the opposite side and it's a little awkward. Also the fit is made for a female body type.

They're cool cause they're apparently the japanese gap :o Hoping the one I got fits right... How long should a denim jacket be? I’m something between size m and s by the trucker jacket from Levi’s but I can’t decide longer or shorter....
I like mine to be a bit shorter than I’d have a bomber. Landing right around the top of the hip bone is what works for me but it’s case by case

Depends on the brand. They often have different cuts. Old Navy small fits me really nicely
