      Eh... there is more to it than that to be honest. There are some people who just freeze and can't analyze and process a response to a situation like this and it's not fair to say no one was willing to help. They may want to help, seriously want to help, just not know how and can't come up with a solution to the issue.

      @@MrTrdsmi Honestly, moving a person is hard for most people. Humans are heavy and not very well balanced or easy to control.
      Also, it's an in the moment thing where you don't know what you are going to do until the situation arises. You can say I'll do x, or I would never freeze, but you really don't know.

      @@gazebodp you need to drag him ffs... just like the cop did... not that hard to do,and the cop was doing it under extreme pressure!

      @@MrTrdsmi I agree with you. It's not like there's a fire where where you might freeze up because you don't want to get burned but want to help. If a couple people went to help him they could easily move the guy.

    I'm not a fan of hating law enforcement. I know bad cops exist. But I also know good cops exist. I have personally had experience with both, being an African American man in American. This was an act of heroism by that officer. There are plenty of cops like this in the world, and to you guys, I salute. I believe positive light should be put on positive police, and negative vise versa. Kudos to this amazing human and to you as well 401 🤘🏾

      Physical strength means jack all of you don't have the courage to run in front of a train to try to move something that might not be easily moved.
      Y'all are bitching about her not being able to lift a grown man out and over the edge of a wheelchair without him doing a thing to help, and conveniently ignoring the time she spent trying to unstick the wheelchair before realizing it was wedged between the slats. Of course it was a close call. She wasn't fumbling around like a dainty damsel. I think she did a damn fine job for how few seconds she had to get him out of that chair. And it looks like she tripped trying to haul him backwards, not dropping him merely because he weighed too much.
      {Edit: yo, hold up. Does his left foot get stuck behind the wheel of his chair at 1:01? I'm having a hard time seeing past that white bag thing on his chair.}

I’m pretty sure that man is more thankful now than ever before that the police haven’t been “defunded” in his area yet. Obviously “community service” taking the place of trained officers with balls so big they need their own squad car (yes, this woman is definitely included) wouldn’t exactly cut it when asked to put themselves in direct danger for the sake of others.

      Maybe not racist, but it does raise questions about accessibility for disabled people . But i highly doubt fox or cnn would care

      No, it'd be "Cop risks disabled man's life for a viral video to try to make cops look better, hero train slowed down"

    I physically recoiled. Fortunately the damn thing was probably moving so long and had so much friction it probably cauterized the wound to some degree.

    Did you say she responded to a call? If that’s the case can someone please explain to me why the person who called didn’t run their ass over there and get the man off the tracks. Ok I’ll give them the benefit maybe they were old and weak and wouldn’t have been able to do it, but geez man that looks like a somewhat busy road and you’re telling me there were no citizens who saw this man and sprung into action? Hopefully I’m just being cynical lol good job to the officer at least

      I heard on the news that she was patrolling the area and noticed, not responding to that call.

    Good job by the officer, but who is the reporting party and why did they not try to help the man first, presumably long before the officer got there?

    asking if they can stand is still a valid question to ask. IMO i assumed he couldn't stand is probably not good in the after action report.
