    Little tip regarding switches that are difficult to push in the right direction: use the scroll wheel. Really handy for the starter and the lights. Instead of having to put your mouse in the miniscule spot to move the switch in the desired direction, you can just pop it anywhere over the switch and scroll up or down as needed.
    Works with just about everything in the sim, including fiddly keys and fuel selectors.

      One more tip I found for setting dials such as heading, autopilot height, etc - I used to sit there mouse scroll wheeling forever, then I realised you can mouse left click hold on the dial and move the mouse left or right to fast move the dials.

    I'm very happy I found this channel. Nothing better then a real Hawk pilot to learn how to fly this plane.
    I wish you could tell us more about the plane, its features and an in depth review would be very much appreciated.
    I've always used pistons engine planes in the sim but this little jet is convincing me to make the step up and adopt it as personal light weight high performance travel machine.
    I really hope this channel will help me to become more familiar with this awesome plane.

      @@cgaviator take your time and stick on this plane. The T1 has literally monopolised everyone attention and there are way too many arm-chair pilots making tutorial and reviews and they never even flew this plane at all... you are rare stuff and this is currently the most accurate light jet model for MSFS. You can really make the difference and tech us how to fly it properly. And when you run out of tutorial, just show us how you make a proper flight from A to B with all the preparation required, weather, flight plan, payload, fuel calc, etc..

    T Mk1s are always parked/shutdown with the flaps fully down. This ensures the oil levels in the hydraulic reservoirs can be read properly by the ground crew.

    It's a while since I flew them but my first reaction was that I was a little disappointed in the module (I think my expectations were too high, I've not given too much time to optimising my MSFS setup, and I've only tried a couple of flights in it). I wish there was a way to turn off the nose wheel steering - I understand you can on some of the other versions by JustFlight, but not this MSFS one. I also found the engine indications and responses looked off from what I remember, especially TGT. But as said it has been a few years since I flew one. I'll give it a bit more time and do some flying around the stall/spin, and I do need to refine my setup anyway. It certainly looks and sounds great and I'm probably being a little harsh on it (as I say. my expectations were probably a little too high). How many hours Hawk did you fly?

    Great thanks, look forward to your other videos on this plane! Would also like your opinions on how faithful the flight model is, though I appreciate it's always somewhat subjective for sims - especially when you aren't feeling g-forces! More just curious if the general feel and behaviour is about right... I've been enjoying this little jet a lot!

    • @cgaviator
      @cgaviator  3 роки тому +9

      Having flown many aircraft in MSFS I can tell you that the Flight Dynamics feel unique and authentic. I would say that the pitch is a tad sensitive on take off and it's tricky to trim once level. But this can be true of the real sims that train crew for these aircraft! The modelling of the buffet is subtle but effective and she rolls and pitches like she should. They've done a fantastic job!

    • @Zeeflyboy
      @Zeeflyboy 3 роки тому +1

      @@cgaviator of course, even the Level D sims aren’t perfect, and the lack of correct forces always makes control “feel” a bit different to reality. Hi Chris, do you have rudder pedals, I have the Saitek ones, for the life of me it is nearly impossible to keep the aircraft on the runway whilst taking off, landing isn't as bad.
    Do you use rudder pedals, and if you do what settings are you using in msfs please.

    • @cgaviator
      @cgaviator  3 роки тому

      I have MFG Crosswind pedals. I do need quite a bit of rudder on takeoff. I think the aircraft weather cocks towards the wind.

      @@cgaviator I can put a full rudder input and it doesn't stop the aircraft veering off, initially I am going to try recalibration in Windows, as someone else has stated on Facebook that improved their erratic rudder.

    Is it just me or are the flight controls in the air pretty bad? I haven't flown this jet IRL so can't really tell how realistic it is, but it is so sensitive and slight movement of the stick and it feels like i'm flinging the plane jarringly.

    • @cgaviator
      @cgaviator  3 роки тому +2

      Well hello sir! I would say you could ask to fly with 100 Sqn for the real deal? Can I also say, I think you should do more for the environment and focus on sustainability rather than growth! Lol… but in response to your question: The controls aren’t too bad. Jets, especially small ones at high speed, can be twitchy. Key is smooth inputs and trimming. Also need to avoid high levels of buffet (easy to pull too much G when you’re not actually experiencing it) as that will produce some crazy outcomes. Hope that helps
