  • Here I'm altering the height of my pitch shots by using #release1 to hit the ball lower, #release3 to hit the ball higher and also my #release2 stock pitch shot. Using trees during your practice is a great way to make it more fun whilst learning some key skills!

The hook draw you played last... I'm guessing the ball was slightly behind centre line at set up? Much appreciated for the clip! Class as always. Oh - read your book cover to cover in no time. Now rereading and making notes... loved it.

He is in very high demand by those that understand what this guy has to offer. He is gold! Everything he says is just spot on. A genius a the short game and his teaching skills are crazy good also. Suggestion: it was interesting to see the ball flight, but I think it would have been instructive see the entire swing. However, when Dan took his actual swing, the camera zoomed in on the anticipated flight of the ball, and all we saw of the swing was Dan's upper body.

I read the pitching section of your book last night so this was well-timed! I do have a question: when I try a higher release and release the right hand *under*, I find it typically pops up to the right, presumably because releasing the hand open leaves the face open? What is the tonic for this?

I love you techniques in pitching..of the 3 release I actually favor release 1 my favorite, and a bit of 2 , release 3 I tend to hold back and not confident I guess. I can apply the above two releases with confident for say 5-10 meters only with my my favorite club 56. further or >10 meters i get a bit hesitant to apply the above two releases , just trying i guess to learn how to use or apply the reases to 52- 7 iron I guess.

Dan - I LOVE the content! The book is great, the videos are amazing. I DO have a question...
On pitching, I often have divots left of target and (to me) they seem a tad deep. I think for the A1 - A3 stock pitch shots, you stated to use release-2 setup. Would the "right hand only" drill and the "thumbs off' drill help me ensure I'm hinging and taking the club back at a more shallow plane?
I don't want to create too shallow or wristy action with pitching but I'm lacking a good drill to promote good contact with pitching.

Dan, are there more videos that show the releases from a front camera angle? I’m confused about the differences in each release, I’m assuming it’s the club head your talking about and how it releases at the front leg for 1, belly button for 2, and the rear leg for 3. This plus ball position determines flight. Also is tease three always for the bunker?
