Welcome To Survival-Russia. One of the very best Outdoors and Survival related communities on UA-cam, and yes, It's a pretty good Channel too :)
My name is Lars. I'm From Denmark but I live in Rural Russia now. I live at a Homestead in wild nature surrounded by a huge forest.
On The Survival-Russia channel we do all things related to the Outdoors Lifestyle. I share my thoughts and experiences on Survival Techniques for the woodlands of the Northern Hemisphere. the Reality of Survival. I share Techniques and ways of the Siberian Tribesmen and the Russian Longhunters of the older days. Things not shown outside of Russia very much.
On this Channel we also do Off-Road driving, Vehicle builds, Metal Detecting, all things Outdoors basically. Enjoy!
Guys, the "Mustache" is just dirt from my gloves and exhaust fumes from the Crawler :) Just like in the long Crawler trip video :)
looks like adolf hitler mustache lol.
@@saffle3062 Adolf who?
Oh, that is so funny.
Survival Russia I Mustache you a question, how much fuel is the crawler consuming to get you there?
That moustache reminds me of someone, just can´t figure out who...someone well known.
Nice moustache! Greetings from Germany!
oh man, super soup, pig meat, buckwheat, the Printing tool, and the mini crawler, what a great trip!
I don't care if it's pigeon crap, you cook it out doors and it just makes it that much better...I love cooking over an open fire or ground pit grill. Thumbs up ole boy from Texas, where we go shoot our dinner!
Welcome to the Survival Russia channel where you can watch Lars bushcraft, camp, test gear, and ballet stretch while sawing logs.
All seriousness I like that tent and stove. Handmaid craftsmanship that wont break the bank. Really like that pattern.
I like the vast amount of headroom the tent offers. Rather than crouching, you can stand up and sit comfortably without wondering if your head is going to scrape the tent roof.
I'm Canadian, and used to do a lot of winter skiing, camping trips. Been living in Jamaica for the last 8 years and never see snow anymore. Watching your vid's makes me very nostalgic. Cold, clean air. No bugs. No gunmen.
That's not a tent. It's a portable hotel room! ;-)
That is nicer than some of the rooms I slept in.
Hell I think it might be nicer than my house.

I use a battery operated carbon monoxide detector when using my wood stove in a shelter or tent. You never know Lars, you never want to wake up dead. Take care, be safe.
I hear waking up dead really bites.
Canuck Bushman yes same here. I will not use the stove without having it.
Nice for you to warn him. But if you didn’t notice, in his video when he first opened up the tent brand new, it came with a carbon monoxide detector. They thought of everything on this tent.
Yea that it correct, it was in the stove.
Yeah, fact! I woke up dead once. It's not nice. There's nothing you can do and just have to ride it out for a day or two. Paracetamol and fluids, and that's it.
Geez Lars, last year we were watching you camping in a hole in the snow with your Siberian log fire.
Now you got your vehicle, your tent, your woodstove, your raised cot... It's like watching
the American Camping show !
There will be Siberian Log Fires :) These items are for special purposes. I cover this in Part 2.
Lars your moustache it's a little bit of a German origin LOL
Ya if he was in the US triggered leftist retards would be losin their shit. Lol.
..ja..das ein un wunderbar soup-strainer ...
Be quiet or liberal youtube hammer will hit us
strange, how one guy ruined this style for all of us.
@@00mihec00 Lol, no doubt.
It's fantastic that you have all those cameras conveniently placed right along your travel path ;) It must be a heck of a job stopping, placing the camera to get good footage, turn the mini crawler, take the footage, maybe a retake here and there. The trip must take at least 2-3 time longer than if you didn't make the videos for your viewers: Thank you for taking the time.
A foam sleeping pad and two black sheep skins, and you are good to go on that camp stretcher. If it gets really cold during the night, you can use one of the sheep skins on top of your sleeping bag. It worked for me when camping in minus a few degrees celcius a few years ago - without a wood stove. If you don't have sheep skins where you live, I can send you two of them if you like. It won't cost you anything. You could also sit on one of them and have the other one on your lap when you are flying around in the Siberian woods on the Beast :-)
I don't know many youtubers who just casually record sleeping in the middle of the siberian wilderness like it's nothing lol! Great channel, I love this content!
The mini crawler is such an interesting concept
Lars, you don’t know how happy you made me by finally camping in a tent!! I can’t stand seeing you camp in the cold with no protection. You love your tent and I love the video. Thank you and God bless you Lars.
You are right my friend, the hardest part of camp cooking is (indeed) waiting for the food to cool enough to eat! Too many times have I been too hungry and burned my tongue and roof of my mouth. Awesome camp set up. Really inspires some better organization for me. -I don’t get to test as much.
Always good to see what you are up to. Just AWESOME material you share with us. Thanks for that and Greetings from us.
Love the mini crawler. It would be awesome to have a flatbed trailer for it. Like an old west wagon only with a tracked crawler in place of the horse.
I would like to point out that Lars looked up before starting the tent set up, a very important little tip right there !
When you pored the buckwheat into your cup my dog woke up from his nap, ran over to me expecting food and looked at me in disappointment when I started laughing. lol Yes, I gave him a treat...
I appreciate you taking the time sir to show us this tent in action. And thank you also for giving us a route to purchase. My spine is broken in 2 places but I love to camp if I can. If I ever get the money sir, I will definitely be purchasing this tent because you showed it to me. I wouldn’t even know if you had not shown it.
Great video, the only base-camp creature comfort you seem to have forgotten to bring, is the wife!
I know, no room for her on the mini-crawler with all of the other essential stuff, bigger trailer perhaps! Looking forward to part II. Regards
Thank you Lars for sharing! I live in the US in Texas but I lived in Montana for 6 years and did a lot of winter camping. The tent and especially your stove is awesome! I wish I would have had it when I was camping up there. I'm sure it doesn't compare to the winters in Russia but it was cold enough for a Texas girl like me! Looking forward to watching more of your videos. I haven't been camping since I moved home to TX because everything is too crowded with people and I like camping when you have no close neighbors!
Linda McClellan one of my sons just returned a week ago from a working trip to Texas, he loved it, he said the people were real nice everywhere he went. Much love America from Australia
@@Antipodean33 My mother always wanted to go there. I have some Facebook friends in Australia. Not sure where though. Have you heard of the Christian writer Christine Caine? She lives there and she is such a wonderful woman. She came to San Antonio and I heard her speak, I have loved her ever since. She and her husband work to free the women and men that have been kidnapped or sold into slavery. Mostly in Greece.
Antipodean33 Hi to all our Australian friends from Texas! 🇺🇸😎🇦🇺
Everything about this video is superb!
The tent looks to be twin wall construction and supremely spacious and comfortable, the stove is excellent, and I particularly liked the twin heat shields.
Great choice of camp bed, I've used one in a temporary base for a couple of years, and with a foam sleeping bad, it's really good, and a great camp chair, too.
Your meal looked really appetising and your Silky Saw is an utter beast.
I love your channel and you're an outstanding host and presenter.
You're living large, Lars. Living large.
I think the Ray Mears qote "If you're roughing it, you are doing it wrong" applies here (I think it was Ray that said it), it looks a very cosy and comfortable set up. Topping!
Thank you Sir for the great adventure and show and tell.
Love the tent.
I'm suddenly reminded of Louis L'amour's book Last of the breed.
Thanks for the kinda words of Canada! Respect!
That stove and a double walled tent will be hard to not have too hot. Hope you don't wake up freezing. Guess I'll find out in pt2! Looks like it'll make an awesome base camp for longer expeditions, enjoy!
I really like your tent and stove. I wish we had that when I went camping with my father fifty years ago. I have not camped since and my wife thinks that vacationing is at a five star hotel.
Your videos inspired me to buy the RBM cuboid 2.20 with stove and most recently the vestibule option! Best 4 season tent by far. Thanks for the inspiration and being from the USA the fact it is Russian is freaking Awesome lol. Being born in America it is drilled into to us to hate Russia. Yet Russia was vital to winning WWII and I think while the Russian Government is ripping it's citizens off, I don't blame those born into Russian!
It's finally cold enough today I got to wear my awesome (in SR style) Belgian field jacket in epic jigsaw camo. Everybody at my granddaughter's soccer game was jealous!
Ah, the elusive giant chameleon land octopus in its natural habitat! 5:50
LOL :)
Hahaha fits perfectly
At first in the intro when it moved, I thought Lars had discovered the last pygmy wooly mammoth.
I should have gone to Specsavers. ua-cam.com/video/jq3H1QZlct0/v-deo.html
Russia ingenuity at its finest. nice ATV and great tent!
That tent was awesome. It is nicer than some apartments I’ve been in. Nice video as always!
you are brilliant with your skills and abilities! Thank you for sharing this - the tent looks wonderful!!!
That looks like a great tent. The stove looks like a good one. Looks like a lot of fun.
Finally a video worth watching. Thank you look forward to many more.
Suggestions:
1. Take it from the British n the German (officer corp)..to carry a smaller 1kg hot water bottle (rubberized) with u..good is..its going to keep the water hot when ur in ur bed and in the morning that same water can be used to make tea or coffee.
2. Open the air vent when sleeping at night.
3. Add some carabinier extenders to hang ur weapon or lay it down behind ur bed..so its out of the way..even if its not loaded.
That leg stretch while sawing was pretty funny! These longer expedition videos are some of the créme of your channel for sure. Field bunks, tents and vast woods, now there's an atmosphere. With the return of the classic Survival Russia camp dish no less, dang awesome! I also tip my hat to you for your pronounciation of "Sauna." Cheers Lars!
Awesome tent with oven.
I like it . Greetings from Hunsrück
Brilliant video Lars, but it seems that your tent is better equipped and more comfortable than my front room.
That was a awesome camp . Printing tool at hand. Pig meat. Everything a guy needs.
Bereg promotes their product with your camp video ...it's okay and awesome Lars to make sponsor cash
Lars. What a tent Awesome. the height and ground cover, ventilation was all needed to see, but it looks like a must for any lucky person to use. Cheers
Looks like a great camping setup.
For real comfort this tent would work very nicely with a propane fueled Buddy Heater. For long stays where you can get to the site with a motorized vehicle capable of carrying a tank of propane (about 40 lbs) it could used for all night heat. Or could be left on pilot or low for days. They're quite fuel efficient. I've used one a lot. With proper ventilation of course. Although they have tip-over and shut off when oxygen concentration drop below a safe level.
You might have to get out the old kalishnacov rifle in case of wild boar! Cool crawler! I think it could climb a steep grade! Like a Jeep trail here in Colorado. So awesome!
You don’t know how happy you made me by camping in a tent!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
That mini crawler is awesome!! Great video, thank you for taking us along with you.
Great set up you have there Lars. It's very close to what I have been using for my hunting/fishing/longterm camping base camp for years! I like the double wall your tent has. I'm using a 10 ft. by 10 ft. walled pyramid Rip stop syl-nylon. Not having a center pole like mine is nice. I also use a spare sleeping bag as a pad on the cot. Really helps keeping the cold air from getting you from underneath. Although your tent would be warmer than mine at night so pad might not be needed. I had to have a stove jack installed in my tent. I'm using Kni-co stove. works well, almost too well! Thanks to all of the Eastern European and Russian immigrants living here now, a lot of grocery store catering to them have opened up. Needless to say I now have easy access to food imported from Europe. Canned pork, fish, pickled items. Also smoked cured meats. And cookies/candies also from the East..
It actually got a little bit cold during the night. I should have brought my inflatable ground pad :)
That little crawler is a nice vehicle to get you to the backwoods and the tent is nice also and must be so warm with the heater working. I don't have a tent like the one you have there, but would like to have one I can put up at a camp. I am surprised that your dog didn't follow you to your camp site unless he/she was kept at home. Your food looks good and in the morning you probably didn't want to leave the tent except to get more wood. Taking it down probably wasn't an easy job and you hated to leave your site, but had to get back home to do some work around your home.
Very nice clip thank you Lars, what a great tent, stove, meal, mini crawler! All good stuff!
The tent looks super awsome! The stove also.
You look seriously cozy on that cot Lars. That tent and stove are a brilliant combination. Looks and functional. Could you seend some cool weather our way?..lol. Cheers for sharing. Peace.
i just buy up 5 thanks to your videos , i love your site your a great guy you always make me laugh ! i am from Canada you are danish ,i have a very good danish friend in Thailand .please keep up the good job your doing love your page all the best from Canada
G'day Lars, awesome video mate, super tent, awesome stove/heater, excellent bed, and your meal is the meal for a king, well balanced, hearty, filling and excellent source of energy with garlic for best extra flavour. Thoroughly enjoy watching your videos and have learnt heaps to add to my bush skills. Cheers, best regards for you and family. All the best from Australia.
Yeah Survival Russia is back!!!!! Haven't been on my feed in awhile. Nice to see you!!
Thank you :) Good to see you too :)
Compared to the night when you slept outside in a sleeping bag by the Siberian fire, this tent is like a dream...it makes living in the woods very comfortable(much better than Ray Mears tent). Plus more environmentally friendly..you only need a little wood for the stove compare to half a forest for the siberian fire..lol.
Cannot wait for part 2.
Good stuff, Aluminium first not aluminin. Best wishes from Northern Ireland.
That is a plush set-up for cold weather camping. Maybe the next video will show the inside illuminated by the glass sided part of the stove!
Now that is a pretty awesome tent..Thanks Lars
I love to have one of them to live in.
That one really nice set up.
Russians & Americans aren't all that different. We are all brothers. God bless.
🌺Hey , LARS! THE Tent can wait !🌺
I WANT THAT SWEATER!!
ITS FALALALALAA SEASON !
You could use the birch bark tent for a garage for the mini crawler.
Boy, this channel sure has come a ways from the lean-toos and Siberian log fires. You're living the adventure, Lars. Cheers!
Tushonka is whole (not ground or minced) stewed meat (any kind, but most often beef or pork). It's usually just chunks of meat, fat (or oil), salt, pepper, bay leaf, and any optional herb or spice you might like (onions, garlic, chillies, rosemary, etc). Cooking is done with a slow, low heat method such as a crock pot or an oven. Industrially produced Tushonka is pressure cooked inside the tin, and the method is easily adapted to home pressure canners if long term shelf-stable storage is desired. Canned Corned Beef is a reasonable western substitute, though a bit too lean. Western Canned ham is usually much too lean. Tushonka can be made of fish (though it's much more rare). If that's your taste, or if you're using canned fish as the substitute, choose oily fish or those packed in oil rather than water. The grain-and-Tushonka meal is a staple "army" food, typically found in MRE-type field rations. Buckwheat and barley are most often used, but any grain will work. If circumstances allow, try adding mushrooms, apples, eggs, and just about anything else. I've used a product more-or-less like Pemmican in place of Tushonka, and it tastes fine. For those unfamiliar, Pemmican is a Native American/Canadian preservation of meat: very lean meat is dried over a low fire, ground to powder and mixed with powdered berries (or fruit, for flavor), then mixed and sealed (in a jar or leather bag) with an equal measure of rendered fat such as lard or beef tallow (clarified butter would also work). The product is intended as "travel food" and most often used in soup, but may be eaten raw as well. Properly stored, Pemmican can keep for a year or more without refrigeration. Traditional Pemmican does not utilize salt (the cultures that made it, did not harvest/have access to salt).
I have not watched part 2 yet; but do you think cooking food in the UP-2 is dangerous because of animals?
Also; that is *seriously* *Awesome* that you can cook directly on the wood-stove! I didn't know that you could do that. :)
Love the Crawler!
i like that mini crawler that things awesome
Oh man, that is the kind of HQ tent setup I've dreamed of since childhood, haha. Almost like a portable summerhouse for one.
I wonder if you could set the crawler trailer up with a canopy or strong fabric enclosure to sit inside when riding in bad weather, maybe even take shelter in for one person if it came down to it.
This is the reason the mini-crawler is great! Well, one reason, anyway! Great video, awesomeness like crazy! That's for DANG sure! :-)
That's you set for the long haul mate. Great setup and one that will pay dividends over the years. Cheers Moose
I like your vidios on the outdoor living, great outdoor living all you need for the money see you on the next one
Du machst alles richtig.! Mit besten Grüßen aus Deutschland ..
That canned pork is awesome nostalgia food, from time to time i buy it and eat it with black bread.
I really like your new tent and wood stove set-up. Looks like a pretty comfortable camp!
Looks like a great tent and stove setup! Looking forward to the next one, thanks!
You were right the first time Lars. It is al-you-minnie-um.
Really enjoy your videos Lars....this one especially. That tent is totally awesome as is the stove.
That looks more comfortable than my actual bed! Hey! Talking about Saunas. I was thinking that maybe you can actually use that tent as one! Build a 20cm tall barrier above the stove and fill it with rocks. Heat up and enjoy. ;)
I love the winter camping videos!
Everything about this vid is.. Awesome!
That douk-douk french knife that you used to open the can with, is the very same knife I recently sharpened for a friend. What are the chances of that? Haha.
Been a fan of your chennel for about a year now. You've inspired me to take more of a military approach to my camping supplies. Their a bit heavier, but I sure feel it's going to serve me a much longer time then.
Keep being awesome Lars.
This guy is super cool 👍🏽
PLUSH EPITOME OF LIGHTWT CAMPING!! UR SOO RESOURCEFUL!!
I like that vehicle!
you really love the term "awesome", don't you? Anyway, I love your videos. It's entertaining and I get to pick a lot of lessons...... even if I live in a tropical island.
Lars absolutely awesome video my friend. The tent is gonna do you well this winter with that stove, so cool. Went to my tent and after two solid years of being weather beaten and stretched it is done. But we are good with 2 more options still. Up north teaching all this week so 4 hour drive Sunday to Nakina. Have a great week and look forward to the next videos. Cheers Fred
Lars, have you considered putting some footpegs of sorts on the trailer tongue? It would give you more leverage for controlling the mini crawler. 🤔. 🇺🇸😎
That tent looks like it has a good amount of space inside! Awesome!!!
great gear and thanks for taking us along!!
I like the mustache. 18 was right.
Attach a bad chainsaw blade to your saw buck. Sling it around log and secure it down. Or a strong bungee/ cinch strap etc..
lol imagine you meet him in the woods dressed like this, with the danish/german accent AND this "mustache" :D
I love the new Moustache, and great video btw 👍😉
That tent is a portable tool shed!
