This man puts more effort into making food in the middle of nowhere than I do everyday in my kitchen. Looking forward to more recipes I can borrow! ♥
Haha me too
Maybe he'll release a recipe book !:)
You...me...and a million more...lol...
You really think he's in the middle of nowhere ? You tube audience are suckers . 😂
@@buffdaddy2032 Oh, yes, I forgot everything we say must be taken literally 100% of the time. Juxtaposition? Hyperbole for emphasis? Nope, none of those things exist in human communication. Andy could be next to a restaurant-grade kitchen, have an army of people doing prep behind the camera or be camping right by his mother's house so she can feed him, and he'd still be putting more effort than I do when it comes to cooking. That was the point of my comment, since you obviously need me to spell it out for you. Maybe try to employ a little bit of reading comprehension before calling random people suckers for no reason, little man.
Finally! A tent bag which is actually larger than required to hold a tent freshly packed at the factory!
It's come along Justintime for my upcoming travels.
Like the extra compression straps/ snaps on it.
Rofl. They never want to go back do they. Its like that extra couple millimeters of fabric would just kill their profit margain huh...?
@@JPMerolla001. Drives me crazy. Those too-small bags make me think of undersized condoms.
No more hydraulics needed to stuff it back onto the bag! Lol!
That is an ice fishing tent ! That’s why it doesn’t have a floor. That’s also why it’s designed to go up without poles and spikes. You can find insulated versions online that are very cozy to sleep in.
This is what I was thinking
The brown thing he thought was a cover is actually the floor, secured with the tent stakes along the lower edges.

Hi Andy, Luing is Chinese for camping so just Camping Box basically! We are sitting here in Xiamen, China watching the video with great interest. Just got to the point of you starting your fire! Have a good one
Send me one to review in usa
@@DeepDeepSouthbro thinks he’s g5 luffy💀💀
I thought youtube was banned in china
Well, it's about time! I don't care how weird your tent is or how Mexican your cooking is, you cannot make us wait a full month for a video. I know you can't see me but I'm sitting here with my arms folded in front with my lower lip pouting like a small child. That said, it's great to see a new video. We love you Andy, AKA "Camp Guy".
Haha, thanks for the support. I'm well rested after Xmas and new year and ready for a year of adventures
I buy the fire lighters by the box to light our wood stove there from lekto
Although I must confess that it was the longer than normal absence that finally made me subscribe :) I got tired of continually checking whether a new video had been posted because I thought for sure I had missed one.
Lol.i was thinking same thing but with no lip action..lol..b safe.peace. love the videos.
Shame I wonder if it was just me anxiously awaiting the outcome of ur Sleepsuit ..but guess again very unlike Kent..😢😢😢😢got up not even the least bit sign of the Sleepsuit ..😢😢😢😮😮😮but about half dozen tyms I hear him say cold very cold start a fire in the morning etc...😮😮😮😢😢😢I really think Kent sent his brother out for this one 😮😢😅😂❤❤❤
That "Sleeping bag" was absolutely perfect for this tent (and hilarious) !
Andy did not mention how good the "sleeping bag" was. I am supposing it was fine but as cold as he seemed in the morning am curious. Would not work for this female who always needs relieve myself at least once.
I was not ready for that 😮 looking like Bundy fly 😂😂😂
I was cracking up when I saw that sleeping bag suit lol. Top tier comic relief
@@vajazzlerthis Exactly 💯 that made my day😂😂😂
Good match. Made him look like a bug-eyed alien monster which fit with the UFO tent!
Thank you for not being a pretentious outdoors UA-camr by calling it a sleep system, and not bothering whittling two sticks to make fire and so on. You make this seem more accessible by the average personal 👏
LOL He usually DOES call it a "sleep system" but that's just jargon. I love it being more accessible too, without all the over the top bush craft stuff.
Yeah really hate when people call it a sleep system when it's 3 separate items. I work on actual technical "systems". I don't need to come home and hear about a sleep bag a mat and a tent being a "system".
Strange thing to get annoyed about. lol. Look up the definition of system. Just a you problem tbf.
I love how your videos are so peaceful, especially the raw sound of nature without any added music.
love calm still shots with no music, too.
I always watch them before bed
I’ve been dreadfully ill and hadn’t wanted to eat anything for nearly a month. I started watching your videos while resting, and seeing the meals you cook, I finally got my appetite back and have been able to enjoy eating again. Thank you, Andy!
😅
Go see a doctor instead of watching some guy pretend to be homeless on youtube.
@@deavyhick6803 I went to the doctor, I just had to have a lot of bed rest and had no appetite. Also, he’s camping, man. It’s not that serious.
@@deavyhick6803Wow. You're a buzz kill. Go back to sleep, party pooper! 🙄
@@deavyhick6803 people who do camping, mind you, with expensive gear, are not pretending to be homeless nor are they claiming to be homeless. And if a youtube video can get someone eating again, thats a great thing!
How cute to see the badgers poking around during the night!
Oh my! My husband and I laughed out loud at the sleeping bag. That was just what we needed. The tent was kind of impressive, really.
My son (12 then)kept on about a ‘deep (woods) camping trip’so he got to help me hump the gear in for it, much like you did in your opening🙈
“Daddy, this is a lot of work”😂
Great time, he learned much(It’s a lot of work) but he’s the better man today for it…
Good video Sir
i was pleasantly surprised by this video. just came to hear about the unusual tent because of the thumbnail but stayed because of you. you're and interesting and personable guy. subbing
I gotta say, these videos are welcoming, kind to all and fun to watch. I accidentally stumbled upon this channel and I am extremely thankful for it. Keep it up pls
All that modern gear, and you whip out an old fassioned wooden buck saw frame. Lol. Priceless.
Hey never dish a man's tools!

I used to camp all the time when I was younger. Now that I'm older & disabled I can no longer camp so I love watching your videos. I'm glad you had a good rest over the holidays because I don't think I could ago another month without seeing your beautiful blue eyes sparkling while you enjoy a brew, some good eats & the nature of the UK
I’m disabled and camp in my van. It’s hard but enjoyable
@@adventurebythemilegood for you, if you enjoy it then a bit of hard work doesn't matter
I would love a camper van with all mod cons and I would be away.
Im watching this in bed at 11pm and had to get up to eat some crunchy nut cornflakes. Love the way he is so into his cooking. Definitely trying this beef dish.
Jokes aside Andy does a great job keeping us warm and cosy. Especially on a cold night. Not a bad cook either.
You and Steve Wallis need to collaborate!! Either you go to Canada or he goes to the U.K. I would fan girl out!
I cracked up when you leaned into the camera and said “Instructions would help.” I’ve been there. 😂
That leather bumper pad protexting the lantern's glass is intriguing, very useful.
First time watching Andy. What a pleasant experience.
Andy shows how enjoyable it can be to be a bit closer to the natural world.
First time watcher...Already know I am now a long time lurker.
Not camped since my kids decided they didn't like it in my mid 20's. Hoping my knackered body holds up to go again with Grandkids.
Such a refreshing change to see a normal man, not a plonker spouting a load of pants at me, doing a bit of cooking with a natural smile on his face and a beer. Really do love the look of the tent too
That sleeping bag looks like either a 70's-80's Japanese robot, or a power ranger bad guy. LOL!
😂😂😂
Hi Andy I laughed so hard the Alien sleeping bag fits well with the tent. I'm looking to a camp for a few days tomorrow. Good to see you again take care.
Man camping and cooking in the woods is a good genra of video to find on a sleepless night.
Godspeed whoever you are
You're calm but also entertaining! The simplicity of your presentation style and the moments of quietness you put in here (the nature shots or of the fire, etc) really give your videos a cozy feeling. It's also inspiring! I'd love to go camp out in the rain sometime. Subbed!
You're like a british steve wallis its nice to find more channels like his especially when he doesn't have new videos ive been catching up on yours cheers mate
@isolated_lizzy He even enjoys a Step 2 in every video!
Great to see you again Andy. This video was one of the most fun to watch for me. You seem so renewed and ready to go conquer any Woodland. The sleeping bag slayed me and you calling out Temu made me do and old -Timey 1980s American fist pump! Also kudos to Temu for taking accountability for their rubbish tent and sending you a refund. Well done Temu. Looking good Andy.
So sensible taking the time to cook proper meals for yourself rather than just snack.
You can get hand warmer packs. I bought them for when we used to go skiing as my husband suffered "white fingers" (Reynolds Disease). ..quick warm up. Great recipes again - such versatility. xx
Omg that sleeping bag is crazier than the tent!!😂
Andy: "it's snowing!
My boyfriend excitedly from the other side of the room upon hearing his voice: "it's camp guy! I love camp guy!!"

This suddenly went from a camping video to a cooking video.... that dish looks fantastic!
Well given those instructions I give you decent credit for getting that up as well as you did! And I have to say, these meals look freaking amazing!
I'm from Alberta Canada so that weather looks warm and balmy. a month ago here it was -43C with the windchill. Eating hot food like chillies speed up your metabolism so should help you stay warm.
The king of camping and making us fall asleep at 3am is back, harmony is being restored
I'd love to see more about your food prep, how you carry it to your campsite, and how you clean up after cooking.
What a weird ass request. May as well ask for how he cleans up after going for a #2 too...
I don't think it's an odd question. He's so organized with everything and gives us these great cooking lessons. I would like to see more about the food prep, storage, and clean up.
@@DS-ic5psWell, as you've shown such an interest in prep, clean-ups and possibly other housekeeping chores, you my dear friend have just been invited to attend one of my wife's weekend LIVE clean up sessions!!! She even said she'll sit back and let you run the whole show.

You are an amazing man …. You take more care of yourself in the woods than I do living in my house
I sure wasn't expecting that pajamas outfit, 😂 but if it kept you warm that's all that matters. Camping is not a fashion show. ❤
You are such a cheerful fellow. Glad I found your channel!
Such an entertaining video! I laughed out loud several times! That “sleeping bag” was hilarious!! You make my evenings so relaxing. Thank you for all of your hard work. Much much appreciated. From Minnesota USA❤️🦡❤🦡❤
I loved camping like this , miss it so much. Used to watch Les Stroud. I found a new survivor man.

Andy’s adorable
I find this type of content very relaxing. I can almost smell the fresh, bracing air.
About the additional mat - this seems to be the floor covering, based on the packing overview from the website. The roof is a separate buy :)
Jalapeno pro-tip: most of them are relatively mild but there's a way to tell the superhot ones. They get hotter as they age, and you can see more striations on the skin when that happens. Love your vids!!!
I used to be able to eat peppers right off the vine. Sadly not anymore, but the fresh peppers are just as hot or hotter, please take my word for it.
Aw, the badger was checking your tent for tasty varmints! This was great fun. I keep really liking your tents- ! And your sense of humor!
The meal, that space suit sleeping bag and the nosy badger were the icing on this cake. Divine.
Can’t wait until I can go camping again, love these videos, very relaxing
Thank you :) hope it comes soon
i really like watching kent, he explains things so well and he is a good cook, if he was my neighbor i would hang out with him😊
This really is the pinnacle! Fantastic food, posh beer, effortless fire skills, you make it look so easy. Even Badger wants a bit of the action and who can blame him. Great way to spend a winter evening. Like the innovative tent technology.
To be honest: I've only ever done tent camping. I enjoy it very much, and I enjoy your doing it, and recording it, very much. Thank you! I look forward to your next video.!
Andy! I’ve got to give you credit. You camp in all sorts of weather. I love your determination. The reviews of camping equipment is fantastic.
I really liked that spaceship tent. Pretty easy set up and put away and looks like it has a lot of space (headroom too). The space alien sleeping bag might be a little too weird for my taste, but it was a delight to see. Really excellent video!
Not sure if he looks more like a friendly bee with the suit on, or without it!
Thank you for sharing you experience with the Alibabable Snowman.
A lot of people don't make it through the night, give up and go home when they camp with the Alibabable Snowman and his products.
Andy that sleeping bag cracked me up.
Great video! Love the way you've taken to Mexican cuisine, and make it in your camping videos. As a Yank who grew up in the Eastern United States, I've undergone a similar journey, moving West in the early seventies ,where Mexican food was often on the menu.
The connection between Brits and Mexican dining is an old one. I think of Ruxton of the Rockies. He was a young lieutenant during the Napoleonic wars, in Spain. After retiring from the army he went to Mexico, and rode across Northern Mexico to the American Southwest in the 1830s where he met American trappers and Mexicans living there before moving on to Saint Louis where he caught a riverboat heading east. Lived on game and Mexican cooking the whole way.
His cabin on the riverboat to Pittsburgh had a chair. He tried sitting on it but gave up and instead sat on the floor the rest of the way. Could no longer abide anything so civilized after a year spent riding and camping out west.
❤❤❤ 41:11
Really interesting story about that Napoleonic chap. Something to look into. Many thanks.
In the winter I’ve always kept a small bowl of hot water and a cloth to occasionally soak in the water, squeeze out and drap over the installed gas cylinder. Works a treat!
Loving watching this during an early insomnia morning. Great combination of bushcraft, camping review and mexican cuisine lesson. I am learning! Thank you!
😂😂 The alien sleeping bag killed me. Dude, you should have that on the thumbnail, in a suspicious pose, at night with the tent
The tent was pretty awesome. But the sleeping bag.... how awesome!!! It was a perfect match for the ufo tent. Lol!!!
I love these test videos of dodgy online stores products :D
Edit: This one turned out to be a pretty decent tent from the looks of it, certainly easy enough for a novice to carry, put up and take down. Good job Luing!
Thanks :)
They are paying him a lot to do it.
Every single one is paid for by the companies he is reviewing.
They sent countless emails to youtubers all over the world and they dont stop sending emails because you ignore them or say no thanks.
Thats all their is too it, and they are all chinese companies, they like to change their locations by buying businesses in other countries but i guarantee you they are all chinese.
I find it funny though because they are paying him to be a shill for china but he tests them in hard conditions and they always fail and make the promoter look like clown shoes.
They did that to themselves.
@@SuperKendoman It's hit and miss really. I bought some good quality replacement parasol ('sun umbrella') coverings from Ali, with proper cloth and good stitching all around. I'm quite pleased with those. On the other hand, you can also receive really shoddy stuff, especially when it's really cheap. But you're correct, if it's a real shop that just uses Ali as its means of distribution abroad, the products they sell can be surprisingly good. Reading the reviews does help and shop owners that respond to complaints in the reviews (often in very basic English, which can be quite funny) get a plus from me 😁

And the genius about it all,is that your videos are pure sound. No crap music, just nature and weather. Instant subscription, mate! Greetings from a fellow camper from Norway :)
Mexican here. Never see this dish before. That dinner dish is more like the american "jalapeño poppers" usually wrapped in bacon and no salsa. More of an appetizer. I just discovered this channel, and am so glad I did! It's nice seeing the peace and calm of nature a whole half a world away. The meal prep of such tasty looking food is just a cherry on top. Also good to see the space pod held up against the wintery weather!

Great to have you back. That looks an interesting tent! Counting down the days to getting back out there!
I bloody love these camping videos. Especially when it’s cold and passing down, like right now. I’ve never actually been camping and I really would love to to it, someday. The colder and wetter the better. Nothing like being cold and wet and then jumping in bed. Even if it is just a cozy sleeping bag.

Andy, to help with cooking, they make a stove like the one you’re using that runs on both propane and butane. Also, you’ll find in cooler weather, butane tends to get cold and stop working. They have stoves that have a thin metal piece that is heated by the stove that warms the butane canister. Skillet
Great to see you back Andy. Loved the badger, the breakfast, your cheery face, and THE SLEEPING BAG!!

Honestly these things aren't that bad if you're only camping in the most calm, dry and warm climates, but British weather definitely puts camping gear to the test.

I just wonder if the tent is blown away easily and you wake up without it thanks to no ground sheet. Not even mentioning what happens when it's raining. Probably a fun tent for kids in the backyard.
