    As a runner who is training for a marathon, these foam rollers ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx9XSsjzA4f84VmhBCHlyhec7XILIxennL are really good for sore and tight muscles. This one is a good size (mine is the purple, 36 inches) not too big but big enough to work and roll both my legs at the same time - I took a photo holding the roller next to me just to provide a better representation of its size. I noticed some reviewers who complained that this is, “just a foam noodle”… and yes, that’s exactly what it is. It’s a high density foam roller. It is absolutely NOT the same consistency/strength/durability/ or texture as a ‘pool noodle’ thought and I disagree entirely with those that say so. As a former collegiate athlete and marathon runner, I’m comfortably giving this roller 5 stars. It’s lightweight and durable and does just what I need it to do at a budget-friendly price. Overall, I have no complaints and am happy with it!

      If it doesn’t “pop” back in or reduce to alleviate the pain it may be a referral pain from somewhere else, such as the neck.
      If something is painful don’t force movements or tools into the area
      It’s probably best to get an assessment by a health practitioner at this point

    Living with hEDS is such a pain, literally. I almost never realize when I've slipped a joint, it just happens and I lose sensation or range of motion and can't handle being touched there. It's nice seeing some channels discuss hypermobility, because I'm flyin solo with no help. My doctors just freaking shrug, and the last Chiro I saw kept dislocating my hip when he worked on me. Best pain relief from my neck I've ever had, though. 3 glorious headache free days, but then right back to hurting.

    • @Tommyswales
      @Tommyswales  Рік тому

      yes placing the hand behind the back will bring in the lower muscles, you can also ly on your back with your knees and hips lifted and. bent to 90 degress , pull a band across the chest and let the knees fall from side to side while keeping your shoulders pinned on the floor.

    Just had what I suspect to be a Rib out Christmas morning. Tried all your exercises 3 times today. Sadly while range of motion was slightly improved. A few moments later it would spasm again. The pain when I spasms get so hard that it takes me down to a knee and makes me nauseated. I will try these exercises again tomorrow, because Sadly no one is open till Monday or Tuesday. If you see this before then and have another suggestion let me know. The main location of my pain is below my left shoulder blade close to my spine. But also feel pain on my side as well and it runs up the back of my armpit.

    • @Tommyswales
      @Tommyswales  2 роки тому +1

      it could be referral from your neck. all the muscles around the scapula are supplied by the nerves from your neck, if you have a pinched nerve at the neck it can refer down the shoulder blade and around the front of the ribs. check out my Magical Neck Pain relief video to free up the neck

    it feels like someone is stabbing me in the back around left t3-t5 joints. always happens after a long sleep and something like changing my position in bed triggers it. 3-5 times a years. about 15 years ago it started happening after an injury.

    • @Tommyswales
      @Tommyswales  2 роки тому +1

      its most likely unstable, if your bed is too soft and your a side sleeper the ribs are shifting
      you need alot of rib stability and rotation control exercises at the thorax

    Dang, I think I had a popped rib for the past 2 weeks. I fell riding my electric small vehicle on the sidewalk and landed on my left rib cage. I thought it was fractured the entire time or just bruised, 1 week later I thought maybe my rib was popped or pushed inward. I just ignored it until I laid down on the floor just now, 2 weeks after falling, and the pain was excruciating. I was thinking, maybe my rib was popped. Well, it feels better now after I endured that killer pain. Still hurts, but feels better now.

After about 20 minutes laying there, the pain started to go away. I basically did what this man did in the video. I used a pillow and towel, placed it behind my back to elevate me, then I would l move to one side and stood there for 5 minutes or so and moved to the other. Getting back up was PAINFUL too 😆. @Tommyswales  3 роки тому

      @@katie1897 it can be confusing
      Hypermobile ribs and subluxed are synonymous
      The main problem with these painful ribs is that they are hyper mobile and Black stability around the joints
      This can be caused from stiff segments above or below that don’t move as well
      If you keep needing adjustments from your Chiro and no exercises are given to maintain control of the hyper mobile ribs I recommend you find a new Chiro or someone who is providing Some new strength and control around the areas of treatment or they will just keep returning or “popping out”
