I love this game it’s all I’ve done for the last 2 days. The game does have a rally system like bloodborne to get some health back but it’s only if you block (not parry) where you have the chance to regain some health. If you are just straight up hit you can’t.
Ik I'm late but on the last boss for the episode, his phase transition is Arena wide except for behind the pillars in the arena. So just run behind them and you're safe.
Hide behind the pipes works to avoid his fire attack that covers the entire arena, and you need to summon a specter to draw some fire, it took me couple times too, now the next main boss is weak to fire its not a machine
It’s crazy that you take chip damage for not deflecting perfectly, since that was the optional hard mode in Sekiro. This game just has the hard mode on by default. 😬
@@Slider1207 No it isn’t, there is no mechanic that works in your favor. Even with perfect guards, you still lose stamina and even if their bar is white you have to land a charge attack while you have zero poise.

@@Slider1207 its not balanced at all lmao, In this game you are on the defensive 90% of the time, you have to wait the enemy swings 4-7 atacks before you can even do 1-2... besides, the lack of poise doens't help at all...

I was gonna quit like I did with Sekiro. I quit after the first boss killed me and was on a level. I was like this blocking isn’t for me. I was gonna do the same with Lies of P with Watchtower Scrapper but… I paid 70$ for that game . Welp after learning it. It was the best 70 dollars I could pay for

Was excited to give this a try today. First level, killing those cops I thought "I like it, think I'm gonna like this game". After dying like 8 times by that initial "boss" to get the train station key I'm like "yeah, maybe not for me". I'll give it another shot and try to get that parry system down but yeah...this looks like it's gonna be a harder one for sure!
No souls game is easy, but they are very fun and rewarding. Its all about being persistent, and willing to overcome the challenge, by learning from your mistakes. If you quit, you will be missing out on one of the best experiences that gaming has to offer. Good luck.
That first Elite is hard i died a lot but now i am near the end of the Game without much parry because I suck at it XD I just use bombs element weapons summons and Legion gun and it's enough XD
The easiest way to defeat the donkey is using the grapling hook and hitting him and then trying to get behind him and using the back attack props that he wasable to defeat the watchmen without a summon, i defeated it with the skin of my teeth.
Honestly this wasn’t too hard. Just involves spacing. Anytime you practice parrying it’s going to feel harder initially because of the memorization required
You can only parry red attacks, not block them You can block and parry regular attacks Blocking regular attacks takes some health which can be won back if you don't get hit ala the rally mechanic in Bloodborne
Man I finished Lies few weeks back, trying Sekiro now and I feel like a complete moron. Completely different games even tough combat is similar but Sekiro feels way harder.
I never used a specter to beat a boss. I have the 2 dragon sword now. Meaning, I must be close to end game. I spent 2-3 hours on a few bosses. All about building up muscle memory. It's like perfecting your track times in gt7.
Can do a perfect deflect/guard to not take damage… also yes like BB but different a lil look it up in the regard of getting health back unless hit You also can get a hp potion back and back and back to make a comeback if you do well after using all your pots.
i enjoy the game so far. This was in chapter 3 I think, I am curently in chapter 8 an the difficulty skyrockets at around chapter 6. Suddenly it gets thrice as hard. Good Luck 😉
God you're telling me. Spent the last few hours walled by the Swamp Beast. Biggest issue is mostly the parry window. Lots of issues using it consistently, especially in the later chapters
I don't even see the difficulty with this game the way others do, like I struggled sure, but I beat the game in about 40 hours and then beat it 2 more times in the same amount of time. I'm now playing dark souls and I'm 45 hours in and only at the last major thing I did was finish Anor Londo (Found the large chest). I've been making my way through the painted world and I think I'm about to finish it, mainly went there because I was aware of a really good soul farm there and it seriously is good 7000 souls each run and you can do it in like 60 seconds or less. Anyway I'm off topic... Dark souls is harder to me! mainly because you have to make more choices in your build, in Lies of P I always have block and counter available from the start to the end of the game with no need to use a shield. I opt not to use a shield in Lies of P in favour of a strong weapon held in both hands, good armour and being able to do cartwheels. I can't counter most boss attacks anyway, so why use a shield when I frames are so much better in dodging? I'm off topic again... Dark souls 1 is harder to me! I also miss Lies of P so much seeing you play it now and I might need to play it a 4th time.
I feel like I've been having a harder time than elden ring. Lol only milenia gave me issues but even she didn't take as long as most of these bosses for me. Freakin archbishop and black rabbits. Over half the mini bosses (SEWER SHOVEL ROBOT AND CRAZY ARCADE JESTER!)

This is due to lack of adequate movement speed, parry frames, and absolutely ridiculous camera issues. I would rather fight 2 sword saint isshin’s at the same time than ever fight the 4th main boss of this game again.

Just get better at learning the followups to attacks bosses have and perfect blocking them not on reaction but prediction. I finished the game yesterday and it's not too bad. Personally I think sekiro is harder, I've still never finished it after months of trying but I beat Lies of P in a couple of days. Knowing when it's your turn to punish the boss is crucial since you can do tons of damage if you perfect block enough and land charged attacks to stagger and fatal attack them. One tip I'd give is that you can normally get a charged attack off after a stagger then fatal attack then either heal or sharpen when they're on the ground and attack as they rise for more free damage
Ngl even with my Nioh 2, Sekiro, Elden Ring, and Bloodborbe experience, Fuoco made me struggle too 🤣 . Like you also said, this game is confusing on what it wants u to do. Parrying is fun (timing can be awkward) but it punishes you with Stamina depletion so Ive been leaning towards more on dodge (the extra dodge really helps)
Lies of P feels easier than Dark Souls 1 or Bloodborne (i have played only those) it's like bosses are more predictable, mobs aren't hard to kill, stargazers and shortcuts everywhere, everything is very straighforward.

I noticed that when you get too far too fast your under leveled it’s what happened to me when I got to the king flame barely dying. He was my first real roadblock in the game too as well.
I got to get back to Sekiro ive never beat it after I finish LoP imma get back into it I don't think LoP is harder then Sekiro tho sekiro for me has been the hardest from soft game I personally have played.
Extremely useful tips from someone that finish the game. 1 game is a mix of bb and sekiro, what does that mean, if you block and attack and didn't perfect parry dash into enemies if you cant follow the speed increases of the flurry attacks, this helps you recover health and retaliated from outside hitboxes "noted: some hitboxes do 360 degrees when you get behind the target tiz most be follow by perfect guards or rolls away if the stam is available. 2. This game demands brute force aggression in some bosses, if you cant parry or dash best is go 🦧 mode and just hit run on the sides with little room for backing up fast weps are recommendation for this tactic. 3. Small weps have more dmg taken when guarding compare to to heavyweight weps that can tank guard dmg taken so you be less force to dash. Dat tiz all gl to yah all game is ruthlessly unforgiving, but onces you get in the vive you'll have a fun time.
I have beaten sekiro 20+ times and never once got walled by a boss the way the 4th main boss of this game walled me. A lot of this is due to clunkiness or a literal wall causing camera issues. The difficulty in souls games was always fair and all enemies are totally fair. Lies of P difficulty is artificial and honestly game breaking at points. I cannot honestly believe that there is heads saying this game is EASIER than any FS title.
Funny thing is that I beat the Murphy first try but it took me many tries to beat Fuoco and then I found a playthrough where a guy struggled like hell to beat Murphy but then beat Fuoco first try. I honestly get more challenge from the level design and enemies than a good amount of the bosses
Yeah, it is. I seriously don't know what game some people are playing, saying it's not as hard as a Soulsborne. It starts off simple enough, but now I'm 20hrs in and it's harder than every FromSoft game I've played, including Sekiro. It wouldn't be if it didn't have an absurdly tight parry window - but it does. Until they increase the perfect parry window, it's harder than Sekiro, as far as I'm concerned.
The parry window is cheaply tight. Most weapons are useless because you need tons of upgrade material just to make them do bad damage. Fully upgrading a boss weapon takes 2.5 playthroughs and the movesets for most enemies are awful. Don't know why some people try to say it's the best Non-Fromsoft soulslike.
The overworld is to easy and the bosses have WAYYYYYY to much hp its a joke. If i need to parry the boss around 40 times perfect to kill him then we are gonna have a problem.
I’m soo bad at this type of game, Sekiro, Demons souls, dark souls and Elden Ring. Maybe they aren’t that hard but I’m so bad I lose patience quickly and stop playing. The only “difficult” games I stuck through was returnal, release state(I believe it’s easier now and you can save game) I really want to play too.
I just finished this game today and I think the one complaint I have about it is that it was actually way too easy, I would struggle the first time through areas cos I don't know what's coming but on repeat runs through areas I'd hardly even get hit. Don't know if my strength build was just broken but I only struggled on the first boss and every other bosses health just melted away in seconds

But you can recover that chip damage by being aggressive. It's actually a well-balanced system.

No it's not because you can level up and upgrade/change your weapons. In sekiro you can just get better or give up.
Its complicated though. w/o kuro's charm, sekiro is harder, however with it, its another matter.
I died in Lies of P more then i died in sekiro, the parry window in Lies of P feels way smaller then the one in Sekiro
The overworld is to easy and the bosses have WAYYYYYY to much hp its a joke. If i need to parry the boss around 40 times perfect to kill him then we are gonna have a problem.

They said in the tips. You can't dodge the red attack only parry.

I’m soo bad at this type of game, Sekiro, Demons souls, dark souls and Elden Ring. Maybe they aren’t that hard but I’m so bad I lose patience quickly and stop playing. The only “difficult” games I stuck through was returnal, release state(I believe it’s easier now and you can save game) I really want to play too.
I just finished this game today and I think the one complaint I have about it is that it was actually way too easy, I would struggle the first time through areas cos I don't know what's coming but on repeat runs through areas I'd hardly even get hit. Don't know if my strength build was just broken but I only struggled on the first boss and every other bosses health just melted away in seconds
Lies of P is nowhere near as hard as Sekiro
