@@maka2697 You can relax but the enemies won't haha, most of the bosses I struggled with I ended up beating some of them with no damage as the game forced me to learn every single move, but in order to do that I needed to die over and over and over and over lol

decay is whats causing your weapons to break so fast. Def focus on parry, his second phase causes decay buildup on his normal attacks too while his first phase only causes decay on his tongue attack. Perfect parry also eliminates the decay build up
I dodged the arm swipes and parried the tongue. P2 was saying behind
this game requires you to use everything at your disposal to be successful... consumables, throwables, legion arms, etc. It finally clicked for me in Chapter 9.
Once you get it you become kinda op
Yeah, in the demo when I fought the scrapped watchman. I realised it was way better to do a combo of things rather than stick to one thing. However instill have the issue from old souls games where I don't want to do anything with consumables or legion arrms. I just beat flame King fuoco but I'm going to focus on using everything now. It will be more fun that way.

@@aizazizzat6060 try to upgrade the shield legion arm, it’s super OP once you upgrade it because it helps you avoid damage and when it explodes it deals a lot of posture damage. Also buffing the weapon with the correct status per each enemy type helps a lot (electric-puppets, acid-humans, fire-undead zombies)
What legion arm do yall like the most? I like the fire / explosive got both maxed
If you’re still having trouble with parrying, I’ve discovered a work around. I don’t know if it’s intentional or not, but if you hold the Aegis shield legion arm block and spam the parry button at the same time, you’ll always perfect parry any hit.

@@jinmori4256 the Aegis shield is one of the interchangeable Legion arms. You can hold down the arm skill and it raises a shield.

I struggled in Sekiro like hell, but Lies of P was a breeze, somehow. Funny to see such a different experience.
I also thought Sekiro was much easier than Lies of P. Strange.

I absolutely love this game. Even though I get frustrated at times. It makes me focus and pay attention to detail.
For people wondering, Lies of P doesn’t have a traditional parry system, the system used is the perfect guard, meaning you have to perfectly block against a red attack (enemy turns red), which can lead to openings for you to do massive damage, aswell if you miss the block during that animation you can’t just dodge out of the way cause if you read the description, those attacks most be blocked perfectly if you in the range for the hit as even dodging out of the way during the hit can still make you get hit. Aswell many players are trying to parry like every other game has taught us, the Lies of P subreddit figured out that the window is very weird and that it’s actually better to preblock before the hit not during the hit
The game also for some reason doesn’t always register the backstabs
It's basically a mix of Sekiro deflection and Bloodborne since you can get health back by parrying and hitting, takes a while to get used to. What I like about this system is that the game rewards you a lot from perfect parries, like aside from creating opening and windows of attack you actually break their weapons too.
Ðe pre-block isn't big. It's like Sekiro, and it's completely traditional.
Parry is just like sekiro but i agree the backstab window is so so small ans sometimes do no register
I just hope the studio takes what they learned for this game and will make their next souls like even better

I think why the game is frustrating because the attacks are both locked on and delayed, so dodging you usually get hit anyways and parrying feels weird because every enemy attack has different timing with delay. It’s made for you to parry but attacks are delayed to make the parrying even harder. It’s just a combination of enemy attack mechanics meshed together for the sake of “difficulty”. I religiously play souls games and I feel like this game is awesome, but the enemy movesets are weird.
Yea the puppets have a long wind up and then when they swing it’s really fast so it just throws me off
@@Floverse yeah it has definitely been a weird adjustment. It reminds me of my first encounter with Margot in elden ring. Only difference is I feel their swing (that you were mentioning) is fast on release, while previous souls the swing after the delay felt like normal speed
This game doesn’t have a parry system on every block though, the only time you can fully parry is with the perfect guard, which to execute the enemy (every enemy has one) turns red and then you most block that perfectly but it can lead to them breaking their weapon once done enough

@@codingandquestingyea that’s the thing Lies of P system is different than the norm, they even explain it in game how it works, it’s a lot more aggressive in combat and a lot more dodging and blocking

I ran all the way back without the elevator lift too. Felt like an idiot when I realized it was there and I was missing it the whole time.

I love this game so much. An absolute masterpiece in a genre (soulslike) littered with almost-weres and never could bes. Also, you have to hold the block button for a moment to parry, not tap like in Sekiro. Try to tap it and the parry won't register. To make that second phase easier, summon a specter and take aggro for the first phase, so that it survives to the second phase with enough health; wail on it a bit and then toss the flame and electrical throwables at it to do massive damage--I was able to take off some 2/3rds of the second phase's health that way.
How tf do I avoid that annoying asf attack he does in the second phase. The one where it kills everything within 500m
@@will.42069 Just dodge I think. Or not be there when he does it. Lol. That move killed me about my first twenty tries. I played it so much I was able to solo it right until the end and then when I was almost dead I had to use consumables.

There’s a lot you can do to make your character OP in this game! For anyone struggling relax and be patient.
When fighting bosses in this game, Take your time learn their attacks it's usually 80% parry and 20% dodging or running away. And you can always use a star fragment 😅

That "Second phase????" hit me right at my soul. I thought I was king shit getting through phase one and then got IMMEDIATELY humbled
Honestly the second phase is fine too if you just keep fighting the same side you fought phase 1. I tried to do that side, but the camera angles were just way too bad for me. I was mainly using this boss to practice parrying bc my gut tells me this boss is going to be hell on new game plus.
Watching Flo say something about the game’s system that’s completely wrong then proceed to say “I figured it out” then uninstall the game out of rage has got to be both the most hilarious and frustrating thing Ive ever watched. Keep it up man.
4:20 OOh so thats what happens when you dont have the stalkers greeting gesture. For anyone wandering - in the Venigni factory level theres is a miniboss caleed Survivor. If you defeat him you will get the Stalkers promise gesture and you can show it to the Atoned. She will then let you go on the trolley no problem.

This was my experience almost exactly. The swamp monster put me off axis for about a day. Extremely annoying but when you finally beat the game you’ll want to play it again. It’s a bizarre experience.
ngl, watching you run back over and over made me laugh. genuinely thought the shortcut was an obvious thing to notice (also you can knock the fires down to get rid of the decay pools)
also, decay causes your weapon to lose durability if you wasn't aware

Tips for anyone having trouble with the difficult mobs and some for the boss
:
The fire puppet with the shovel - his red attack is hard to parry, but laughably easy to dodge. You can just dodge to the side or run backwards. Whnever he runs at you and swings, dodge to the LEFT, because he swings to the right and will catch you at the end of your dodge.
Andreas: the biggest tip for the first half of the fight that I can give is to not be overaggresive. You NEED to be defensive for this phase. He has a limited amount of attacks and once hje does any of them he will usually give you a window for 1 hit. Just one, dont get greedy. Maybe two if youre using a fast weapon. Wait for him to attack first and ideally parry, you can dodge as well but its less rewarding. Aftes his big two handed slam he will always SWIPE with his left arm.
The second phase big guy side is similar, thought he also has a couple of different swipes and a headbutt. Like before, wait for him to attack first. When he starts charging up blue, run away as far as you can immediately. When he starts the stampede attack honestly spamming dodge is probably your best option.
The flaily worm side of the boss has less attacks, but they are very wide, so I recommend fighting the chonky side as you already know its moveset fairly well.
The boss is also vulnerable to fire - in my own run I got him to 25% in the second phase then just finished him with thermite. It took 4 to light him on fire.

It is not tight at all, your core understanding of it is simply wrong.
Just wait. There's an even harder boss down the road. Lies Of P definitely doesn't pull punches and I love it

Just a heads up in both areas in the Church theres a Brazier that you can knock down by interacting with it to drop the fire into the Decay water to blow it all up and removed the decay water perma. both areas also have hidden stuff in the Water once the braziers have been dropped

The boss you had in the intro part bodied me over 50 times lol finally got my perfect guards down but then he would switch up his aggression each fight
this game forces you to learn perfect guard and once you do it makes the game a lot easier and also it helps you stagger a enemy for you to make more damage. learn the mechanics= easy and if you don't = hard
Most users who criticize and get angry about this game play the game in the wrong way because they do not properly understand the system. So this game feels inefficient to them. You shouldn't think and play this game's combat system like other From's Soullike games.
here are some tips for users who find the game difficult:
1. Parry > Dodge
2. actively use throwing weapons
3. Summon a helper at the entrance to the boss room(The ability of the helper can be improved through the golden tree system)
4. There are definitely shortcuts around elite mobs, so open the shortcuts first and start fighting with elite mobs.
The there’s a short cut for the green shield mini boss. You have to pull a lever so the gears go up instead of going down then it just takes you all the way up. The lever is located on the right before you enter the room the boss is located
I'm glad I saw the little lift thing in the cathedral 😅 climbing up the first time was so tedious. Fell Hella times.

I hate that clocktower room, and it only pissed me off 10x times more when I got the item from the marked door there. I also didn't realize what that stupid lever did, so I kept parkouring back up 😂
Ohhh, I get it now. Once I encountered that elevator boss, I had two choices. I think you have to wear a stalker attire to unlock the other choice
The fire dude at 2:00...wanna know a secret? U can lure him back into the room where the small adds where THEN take the latter in the corner, climb up fast and drop/attack on him. He comes out of balance, you hit twice, step back, run to the latter, climb up and repeat. 😄
Edit: for the fire dude at the factory:
1) lure him back to the slightly bigger room before the orange pipes
2) then run past him, drop down and run to the shortcut door. Open it. He will come at you!
3) run the hallway along with him following you and turn left to the room you lured him before.
4) now the fire dude will get stuck under a horizontal pipe near the celing and you can safely hit hin. 😘
I laughed so hard about that flame enemy with the shovel because I had the exact same issue every time I encountered it. Same for the clown puppet. This was my first souls-like game and I'm almost finished with it. I'm just past letting Geppetto out of the jail cell in the Abbey. The stupid scaffolding areas were the hardest for me by far. I kept getting knocked off. Lol

This fight definitely tested my patience hardcore. Used the holy sword and had to finally break down and summon to help. Just wait till you get to the Black Rabbit. Long story short i need a new controller

For difficult elite enemies generally just back off … they will stop following at some point and start walking back… follow it and do a charge lunging heavy attack like Glaive +axe handle… repeat and bring it down easily

In Sekiro, you have a window of 30 frames to parry an attack, so if the game is running at 60 fps, about half of a second. The window in this game is 8 frames.

I just finished the game , and let me tell you , some bosses took me 5 to 8 hours to kill (uploaded to my Chanel) , but as you keep going , it becomes like a dance , you learn their moves and Perry one hit after another , and when you finally get the sweet taste of victory , best feeling ever

Don't know if anyone told you but decay is a very small DoT to health, and it degrades your weapon over the duration!

I beat the arch bishop on my first try. I think I got super lucky on the 2nd phase though and fluked it. Use the spectars, they are a key tool in the fights, they draw some agro and allow you a bit more space.

Use the Aegis legion arm to perfect guard that Elite’s attacks, watch my last short on how to do it. Ive been trying to explain to everyone how you don’t even need to upgrade it to perfect guard with it but no one gets it.
I found that using Y(xbox) and Triangle(ps) for parry/guard is so much better than L1... you can rest your thumb for dodges as well without taking a finger off guard.
Not pouring the fire over to get rid of the decay pool hurt my soul.
on his second phase when he stands up and starts shuffling the design is to make you fight the other side of him so you have to deal with both faces. so you can just walk forward or even stand still and the attack wont hit you. you dont have to worry ab any of the camera angles. also you can lock on one or the other depending on who youre facing but i found it much easier to run back and fight his "frog" side if the centipede is facing you than the other way around. also you can perfect parry his tongue and decay wont be an issue at all and the second block can be punished wth a charged heavy. good luck homie
Decay status effect lowers your weapon's durability. Also, after having beaten the game and going for 100%, during my 1st playthrough I realized that it's a good idea to repair your weapon post fatal attacking the boss. The starting weapons aren't great either, except the Greatblade since the handle's ability is good. I was able to hit the boss you ended the video on with the Baton for around 1,100 because the two fable abilities are amazing together (double damage on next hit and the blade's ability does decent damage). The charged strike is also fast and does one hit, so procing the stagger is easy. Try out more weapons, is all I can say.
You can also weave in Fulminis uncharged hits after a combo or charge a full blast after a fatal attack. After having played a lot of Fromsoft and soulslikes, I notice a lot of souls players doing the same things that they would in those games. You can just block strikes rather than parrying everything, parry the strikes you are confident in and block everything else. You can run or strife most fury attacks. The regained health post block is really nice too as long as you don't get hit. Good luck ;)

I recomend you to use the weapon that you find in venigni factory in the same are you kill the future puppet I almost complete the game with it but the two dragon sword its beatiful

Great vid ,There are some items u can use to take off the decay either from shop or enemies bodies and the decay also takes down your weapon Health too not just your own

It's literally the easiest souls like game ever made. You're making it harder on yourself by not changing that weapon. (If you like the move set, just keep the handle and put the giant iron cleaver on it, and upgrade it. It'll one shot most of the regular enemies (2 shots at most)

This boss is very aggravating. There are two blue “potions” consumables that you should have. One eliminates Decay all together and one makes you more resistant to it. That should help a lot. Also if you go to Hotel Krat’s training area and go back out you’ll have full fable. It gives you some momentum going to a new area.
The attack that gives decay is pretty easy to block or parry as well I never got decay on this fight

When you get to the second phase run around to the back side of the boss and fight him. The boss has two sides and the back side is the same boss you fought in phase 1. A lot easier, keep the content coming man!

The amount of stuff that you don’t notice causes me physical pain. Take more time to explore, like watching you move through the decay sludge to get through the boss room is painful. Tip over the flaming brazier on the level above you by the archbishops office to incinerate the goop.

The basics of most souls games have to be unlocked on here. Like the ground roll.
The main reason why the parties feel so inconsistent is because the parry is only 8 frames long compared to Sekiros 12 frame window so like it’s actually harder to parry in this than Sekiro it’s kinda wild
