- Here's the second part of our MMA Grappling Trinity, a mind map to help formulate strategies for your fights. Here we demonstrate 5 ways to use strikes to advance to a more dominant position. Grappling and BJJ has proven to be a necessity in MMA, but the strikes are what make it a sport of its own -- notice the opportunities that open up when ground strikes are applied correctly. Be sure to subscribe, because next week we will introduce the 3rd part of the trinity: submissions.

Nice moves.
Hey Shane, whats your opinion on equipment like Battle Ropes and Agility Ladders? On their own, I feel like they're a great workout but do they really have that much carryover to boxing/muay thai/mma or is it all just for show? Seems to me, time spend on the battle ropes/agility ladders could just be used for more mitts/bagwork, and other sport specific stuff/ Thanks
Can you please cover some submissions and striking positions from half guard? You know, some Eddie Bravo stuff... Great stuff as always guys!
If you block the hip with the arm that deep, doesn't it allow the guy on the ground to block it underneath him and roll you over so he gets in side control?
Please upload a video of you two sparring, that would be good
You should do a collab with Voto Studios. That would be hilarious
I would love a vid bout that americana submission move. It blew my mind on first blush.
It is the least confusing move by far it should blow your mind
@@420pluto5 u mean it should not. I know..somehow it proved new to me then
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hahaha I read "use striking to groin"
I'm right hand dominant but I'm left footed. Which stance should I adapt do & why? Cheers
you should fight right handed because most of your opponents will be right handed and good fighters can take advantage of left handed fighters if they are trained to
Do a fight like canelo alveraz and Glovkin plz plz plz plz i have been waiting 2 years for it

Shane im a right hand dominant but i use a southpaw stance should i change or just keep it . Im more comfortable with using the southpaw any tips please.
King Catubig I switch but I like both. When I go southpaw, I kinda turn into a one handed fighter and only use lead right punches, and use left as a distraction and for faints. But switch it up. Then more you can use, the better. I'm a 14 year old rapper and mama fighter I'd love support❤️
@@madebytaeg thanks man !
King Catubig ofc bro💯🤙🏻
Get familiar with both sides by working on the heavy bag then spend time sparring on both sides and the drop shift.
@@thomasmei3443 ok man i just started boxing like 6 months ago i go to the gym 5 or 6 days a week cause its only a five minute walk from my house . After i get familiar with both sides which stance should i use when fighting? But i can already use both stances but i feel like i move faster when im using the southpaw stance even though im a right handed guy
It feels weird when Shane doesn't introduce /start the video
