It’s interesting to see more prehistoric design elements like Klawf, the Paradox Pokemon, etc., considering the meteor that landed in Area Zero could have wiped out the general population of Pokemon and humans living there because of:
1) Impact area
2) Dust/smoke/ash covering the surrounding atmosphere and creating extremely gruelling conditions requiring Pokemon to either endure or evolve.
Could be a stretch, but I feel like it’s plausible considering the devastating potential a meteor holds especially when compared to the Prehistoric Extinction event
Would say the 4 treasures of ruin’s individual names highly allude to them being from a China-specific region because the names are similar to Chinese pinyin - Chi Yu specifically could be referring to 气 and 鱼, which could be translated as “angry fish” 😂

@@joaoc360 I think like Tobey said the merchant who sold the treasures to the King was from the East, quite possibly China, hence why the Treasures of Ruin, 4 pokemon born from that same treasure have Chinese names in a Iberian region.

How I would love for there to be a Chinese Region for a new Generation. But given how China's government can be very sensitive with their culture being depicted, especially by a Japanese Company given both countries still not being on good terms with one another, it seems unlikely.

I believe that Chien Pao could be the sword from the Sinnoh story of the man with the sword who used it to kill Pokémon, maybe it became cursed due to being used to kill so many of its own kind

I would argue that Bronzor isn't used to make the armour of Armarouge because its never mentioned in-game that is. You only swap those pieces of Bronzor for the armour in the same way you only swap Sinistea chips for Ceruledge's armour. I think its more coincidence than anything. They just needed a ghost type for Ceruledge and therefore a psychic type for Armarouge.
I agree Ceruledge's armour is definitely not made from sinistea chips so why would Armarouge's armour be made from Bronzor Fragments.

Interesting i never considered that the ruination treasures warped the environment of paldea, i Actually thought they seeded the war between paldea and kalos given they represent Fear Envy Hatred and Grudges stoked fear not in a literal sense but a mental like they're presents affected the king and people drawing darker feelings and bringing them to the surface.
There's a bit of a problem with what you said about the armorouge and ceruledge armors. They aren't crafted from what you give to the person. They're just traded for the armor, because that person is obsessed with sinistea, or bronzor, depending on the game. The origins of the armors aren't really known
If you think about it, Chi-Yu might be the reason that Cetitan adapted to become a land whale and not an aquatic whale (that and also the fact that it would've competed with Dondonzo in other Paldean water areas)
The Ruin Pokémon are my favorites. I love their lore and how they exist effect the world.
I would say nacli probably existed before this, but was more rare than it is now.

It's Pokedex says that a *lonely* soul with haunt a *forgotten* cup of tea, which is super bitter. Perhaps ceruledge was forgotten hero who failed in it's task, and became very bitter about it......

I love that the one thing they took from botw was the environmental storytelling. the implementation of full open world is a bit messy, what with most of it being just one flat field after another with the same ruins cut, flipped, and pasted all over the place, but the story it still tells checks out, and if it'd had as much time to bake as botw did, I'm sure it would have been even more fascinating to pick apart. as it is, it's at least a fantastic step in the right direction!
What is the sword in Chein Pao was the sword of the original guy who slayed pokemon in one of the old sinnoh myths?
thank goodness you brought up Bronzor . . . i've been thinking for ages about how the past of Paldea, with these coins looking like Bronzor, has some kind of connection to Terapagos and Terastal in general.. i've thought about the crystal hexagons as if they were mirrors of some sort, that reflect not appearances, but people's desires.. Bronzor is also a hexagonal mirror.. that's kinda where i hit a wall, but i was really entertaining this idea when the whole "imagination" theory was going around
A Chinese-like Pokemon region is hinted in this game with restaurants serving Chinese food like Mapo Tofu. Kofu's Restaurant serves Dandan Noodles. The languages teacher, Salvatore, says the Mandarin word for Thank You "Xiexie". He also says "Danke", so a Germany-based region is likely to exist.

TOBY!!! So I am playing through PLA again and I just had a realization I would LOVE if you would explore. I believe that Turo and Sada opened the rift in PLA by making the Time Machine in Paldea!!! I would love to hear what you think about that!!!

Thank you so much I was very curious on this especially since these Pokemon are based on Chinese lore and I'm pretty sure the teal mask is going to have some Chinese lore on the legends being those immortal shape shifting animals (sometimes human forms) but the most ofter one I see is a Crane which is what one of the newest legends are.
After the DLC, it is heavily implied that she is the descendant of the treasure-loving king (or even his wife given that immortality, curses and time travel are indeed possibilities). If his "gold coins" are the origins of all the Gimmighoul chests scattered around the region, it would make sense that she would also have some with her.
And she trades you a Gimmighoul after your battles with her in Blueberry Academy, even though she never uses Gimmighoul or Gholdengo on her team.

One thing, the guy just happens to have some Auspicous armour, likely from his relatives from the acient past. and he just likes bronzor.
Also, I really want to eventually every country to get a pokemon region. That would be epic.
There's a problem with the Ceruledge and Armarouge part of this theory: the armors *aren't* made out of the items you trade for them. The NPCs specifically say that they are currently in possession of the armor before you even make the trade, and offer to give it to you in exchange for the relevant pokémon materials simply because they're a fan of bronzor or sinistea respectively.
Also, wouldn't it make more sense for wo-chein to be responsible for the dry, barren area that clawf can be found in, since that area's substantially more devoid of life than the swamp (that notably *did* have vegetation in the shots shown in the video).
The merchant who sold the treasures to the King was from the East, quite possibly China, hence why the Treasures of Ruin, 4 pokemon born from that same treasure have Chinese names in a Iberian region... it adds up.
Those Ruination Pokemon could have been such a cool end game boss scenario. A 4th path where you are just casually helping a friendly professor with historic research only to be betrayed by her true desire to claim their ruinous power for herself.

I feel like Hoopa Unbound has to have a Connection to the Treasures of Ruin. All 5 are Dark Types that were sealed away, Hoopa is also based on an Object with that being its Golden Rings. The Treasures come from the East and East of Paldea is Kalos where Hoopa is found. Maybe the King was Hoopa. The Showering with Golden Coins could be the same thing we saw in Hoopa the Clash of Ages. Hoopa is known for stealing a Whole Castle and what if this Castle was the Castle of the Paldean Empire? We also had this with Keldeo, a Mythical Pokemon that was also apart of the Swords of Justice. Hoopa is also connected to Chinese Mythology

Somewhat related thought, ever think about how many royalty related Pokémon there are in the Pokémon World? You can literally have a team of just Pokémon with “king”, “sire”, royal implication, or even specifically referred to as royal. 🤔💭

It kind of seems like Wo-Chien managed to go all over Paldea before being sealed away, maybe it started it’s rampage where the swamp now is, but I would guess it made its way to where there’s now a desert before it was finally defeated and sealed away. Or, alternatively, it started where the desert is and was stopped where the swamp is, which is why the swamp still has some amount of vegetation
Something else that might be connected is bramblin. A ghost trapped in branches? Sounds a lot like the snail boy. They even have similar eyes
I agree with 80% of this theory, personally I think the Spiritomb was made by Ting-Lu killing greedy miners who wanted to mine its ore, and that it's shrine was made from the now seperated peak that once was a part of Glaseado Mountain.
Wo-Chien started wreaking havoc in the area where you find Klawf, but i do believe it started in the mirelands. Notably the passage is almost identical to the farmlands near Cortando. It looks like they practically took the area and flipped it on the other side of the region. Potentially to distance themselves from Wo-Chien. Interestingly Cortando, Alfornada, and Los Platos are one of the few populated areas that dont have a mostly modern aesthetic suggesting they are some of the oldest populated places in the region. Alfornada being the oldest as it still has references to the past, specifically to this eastern region due to the old sprites being found, and repurposed as mosaics.
I still think that Chien Pao was a threat to mostly Mt. Glaseado, specifically the cave system in the mountain is interesting as it's very center point has an opening in the top. It's huge, nowadays there's only a pokémon center but what if Chien Pao buried an ancient city that was once in the large cave system?

I'm still partial to the idea the paldean king used gholdengo's make it rain on the merchant, and then the merchant cursed the treasures (would also help explain paldean empires wealth)

Do you think they would ever make a region based on China? Pokémon has become quite popular in that country in recent years, and there is a lot of videogame companies wanting to appeal the chinese market, so it would make sense to do one.
Also it would be the first region based on an asian country apart of Japan, and many Pokémon already have chinese backgrounds, such as the latest legendaries.
Additionnaly, for the bronzor-based armor theory, Bronzor is based on a chinese myth. Which would fit int he chinese inspired legendary trio.
So how does the lore of these 4 toppling the kingdom and AZ's weapon doing the same, how would those 2 stories work together?
I think wo-chien afrected the paldean wasteland where the orthworms are. Its all dead grass and dust now.

I have a theory I’d like your opinion on so zekrom reshotam and kyurem are said to combine into the 1st dragon or original dragon and redgidrago is said to be the head of an ancient dragon Pokémon and contain the power of all dragon type Pokémon so what if redgidrago is the key to combining the dragon trio into the original dragon what are your thoughts

There's a theory that I'd like to share that is most likely going to be false:
the broken sword of Chien-Pao is the sword written about in one of the books of Sinnoh's Canalave Library.
One of the stories of old written down in a book found in the Canalave City Library speaks of a time where a man wielding a sword slayed many Pokémon. Eventually, an unnamed, talking Pokémon explained why the man had a hard time encountering Pokémon. The man came to regret his decision, leading to him abandoning the sword, which is said to have broken. The broken sword that makes up the teeth(saberteeth) of Chien-Pao is, as far as I can recall, the only broken sword we have ever seen in the main series games.
Again, I won't be surprised if this turns out to not be the case. I just thought I'd share this to see what others think, including those like Bird Keeper Toby who post content like Pokémon theory videos.
What if the the treasures of ruin aren't the bad guys, what if they were the pokemon of a hero that were seal as a just in case measure and over the years the story got changed

Following Hoopa I think Spiritomb and this Ruinous Quartet could get unbound forms (and Arceus please oh please). & like there was the muslim conquest of spain. So maybe someone from the Hoopa binding mission directly or indirectly influenced the binding of Spiritomb or the quartet or both. OOuuuuu also Johto is around the corner allegedly right? Kurt was our first introduction to pokeball crafting and we just got that exact mechanic last year. I think it all continues the mystery from Red/Blue about the creation and implications of a master ball. Paldea hands out (the deep red and purple) master balls like gold stars and to me the tera orbs seem more advanced than beast balls. Paldea gives off very middle part of a story w/hidden context so all answers can be right answers lol. I think the concept and history of pokeballs & sealing power (Zelda is it you?) are coming up fairly soon. Calling it now, if Shein Pao gets an unbound type form it'll be another bipedal cat but this time it has a knife. Omg is the idea for a Genesect unbound too outrageous? it's backstory of being *ahem* fused with a gun**** has always been so sad and like if homie is hurting we need an un/binding gimmick! .... and a super cool new form :3 thanks for the brainstorming space & fun video!
edit: what makes Spiritomb so lame to not be included with the other cracked treasures? Just the idea of Spiritomb Unbound already gives off a scary mythical energy with gnarly stats. Ability: Weakless- This Pokemon has no type weaknesses. like a call back to our bound buddy before the fairies came lol
another edit: Legends Arceus introduced us to the earliest known form of a master ball by using the red chain.... the stuff that binds the universe together lol hmm I bet Type Null lore fits in there somewhere but I need to replay Alola to brush up

Small correction: Bronzor and Sinistea are not used in the creation of the two armors, the man just accepts their fragments for trade. If they were needed to make the armors, don't you think they would resemble them in color at least? Armarogue is not teal nor bronze and Ceruledge is not blue and white.
If pokemon's world map is similar to us, the first 4 gens are in japan. Which is east of china, sooo is arcanine from the ocean? Will we finally get our water/fire arcanine weve been begging for?
