- This is how I fixed the red flashing light issue of my BOSE Soundlink Mini II Bluetooth speaker.

The first time when it happened I could downgrade it to the old firmware, the second time there was only one version - the current one, but I could update it and it worked.
If the speaker cannot be found on the BOSE website, it can be that the cable you are using is not compatible, it happened to me already. Try again with another cable.
This is the link:
community.bose...
1. Download the software updater btu.bose.com/#...
2. Connect the speaker to your computer with the mini USB cable.
3. Go to the btu.bose.com site
4. Wait until it connects to your speaker and gives you the software version.
5. Whatever happens, you need to update the firmware (either upgrade or downgrade). That's what needs to be done in order to reset the fault firmware.
6. To go in advance mode, you need to press these keys in order: 'a', 'd', 'v', 'up arrow', 'down arrow' and then you see the menu. I wasn't able to change the version BUT, I updated it to the current version once again and it worked.
7. At about 80% you'll see the red flashing light go orange and there are beeps and things, after this simply let it charge and you are done.
9. Since then I decided to keep the speaker always in its dock to be charged and I did not get this error again ever since.
In case this doesn't work, following the same steps and typing O, P, T, Up, Down (instead of A, D, V, Up, Down) and then following the instructions on screen to "Clear Errors" (which clears any error states the speaker might be stuck in) is what did it for me.
Good point, thank you!
it doesn't do anything when I do that
@@tobylowe7888 If you mean that O, P, T, Up, Down is not doing anything: Did you install the Bose Update Installer? You have to do that first. If it's not doing anything after you already installed it, went through the steps in the video, and clicked on "Clear Errors", then that's just not what's causing your problem ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If it's just because the red light's still flashing: yes it will, but the speaker will charge normally again if you connect it _to the Bose charger_ (or a charger with equivalent voltage and amps).
Please inform charger rating of original charger. Regards
@@dhananjaykadam2786 Output 5V-1600mA. But there might be some hardware in it that communicates with the hardware in the speaker. Bose seems to indicate that in certain error cases, you need the original charger, not just a compatible one... Then again, it might just be a marketing thing 🤷♂
After watching all the videos online, reading everything I could, you actually saved my speaker! Thank you so much! The trick with "firmware" special settings did it :) I can't believe Bose doesn't have it on their website. Thanks again!
You are very much welcome! Stay healthy :)
How you do it step by step sir
same for me! it looks like its working again. can't believe i had it in my drawer for years because this info is not provided by the manufacturer and even just available with weird key combinations. are we in an early 2000s game hack? 😂
anyway, many thanks!
It worked for me !! Thank you !!😊
You're a bloody hero, Razvan! I thought my Soundlink was toast, when I couldn't get rid of the red flashing light. But your instructions totally sorted it. Many thanks indeed.
Thank you Rob, you are the hero for clicking on my mono video 😀 I am happy it works and you recovered your Soundlink. Stay healthy!
You, my friend are a genius! I'm both amazed by your knowledge and blown away that BOSE wouldn't highlight this simple fix to their customers. I had a €50 battery in my basket ready to purchase as I'd tried a lot of other UA-cam solutions when I found this.
Ted, thank you for the kind words. I was frustrated with mine and searched for a solution. Each one of you who searched and found my video, deserve the credit too 🙏
You are a genius 👏 I’d looked a while ago when it first stopped working and found nothing….was preparing to throw it away when my partner came across your video and it’s now working - thank you so much 👍
Thank you for the kind words :D Glad it worked ! Cheers to you and your partner
The amount of issues I’ve resolved via UA-cam… and this is no different. Spot on - thank you so much for a straight to the point, no fluff video - you’re a legend 😊
Hi Christina, thank you for the kind feedback. Absolutely UA-cam is such a Gold mine :) This video was within my first ever 5 recorded videos.
This worked! Reinstalling the update (even though it was up to date) did the trick. You do need to press a,d,v, up, down to get to the advanced settings. I also had to use the cable that came with the speaker, any other USB cable did not work.
Bose needs to have this simple fix listed on their website and a button to easily access the advanced settings in the software updater. Thank you very much Razvan!
Hey Anna, great news, I am glad it worked 😃 Enjoy the new speaker and take care!
July 2024 and this tutorial worked like a charm ! Thanks man, I really appreciate it !
I was using my speaker when it suddently stopped working. I thought the battery was off and then it kept on flashing red when plugged into the charger... After the re update of the firmware, I was able to turn it on again and it even said that the battery was 80% charged O_o
I can't help myself of thinking that it is an obvious case of planned obsolescence to force me buying a new speaker... but hey, it will wait a little bit longer as the speaker is back to life now :-)
Thank you for the kind words, I am glad your BOSE is now back to life :D !
@@razvanyke Unfortunately, I add to redo the tutorial 3 more times since my last comment as my soundlink keep on suddentlly turns off with the red flashing light.
Everytime, your tutorial bring it back to life and I can see that the battery is still charged up to 70 or 80% so the issue is coming from elsewhere... :(
At the second crash, I thought it could be linked to the "loud sound" I played for 1 single song (meaning a bigger need of energy from the battery) but no, the third crash occured during a light level of music so I need to keep on looking for the root source of the problem.
I hesitate to spend money on buying a new battery to replace the original one as I have no clue if it will fix the problem or not :/
Any ideas/thoughts will be appreciated ;-)
Thank you! This is the simplest, quickest and cleanest solution I've found by far. And also very clearly and concisely presented. Thank you saving hours of digging and experimentation on random forums :)
Hey Janmejay, thank you for taking the time to leave this lovely feedback :D I am glad it worked and you can enjoy your BOSE again. If you will not keep it charged, it will do it again .. mine now is in the same state. Stay healthy, Raz
After watching your video, you actually saved my speaker! I thought it was going in the Bin. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the feedback :) I am glad I could help !
Thank you so much for your expert solution. Truly your method is a product of research and lots of patience because I have tried a lot of quick fixes that did not work. I stumbled into your YT video by accident and it miraculously worked like magic. Can't describe how happy I am to have revived my little favorite speaker. More power to you, man!
Hey David, thank you for the kind feedback 😀 I am glad it worked well! Take care
It worked, but not without the Bose USB charging cable that came with the unit. I unknowingly tried 2 others thinking they were the Bose cord and got no where. I was about to give up when I finally found the cord with "Bose" on it! Thank you, so much, glad to have my speaker back!
Thank you for the feedback, I am glad it worked :D
Fantastic, thank you Razvan. As others have said, I too thought that was the end of my "best mate". I can now spend my Easter weekend listening to great sounds whilst I spring clean. Ridiculous that BOSE don't provide this info given it is obviously a known issue. Thanks again for sharing your skills 🙂
Hello my friend, thanks for the feedback:)! I am glad you can use it again, enjoy the Easter holidays!
For the longest time, I could not get my Bose Soundlink Mini to change. The red light kept flashing. This went on for over a year. I googled how to charge the Bose Soundlink Mini because I truly needed it to use with my android. I viewed this video, and it worked!!!! I was able to finally charge my speaker!!
Good that you found the video 😃 Enjoy the speaker further!
So glad I found this video saved me buying a new speaker thankyou
You are welcome, my friend 😃
I was reading everything on Bose website and forums and could not find an answer y til I watched this. I had my speaker ready for the bin and you with this video have brought it back to life. Thank you 🙏
@iansimpson720 good job :) This is a victory for both. Enjoy!
Thank you. You save my speaker and my mental health Thank you very much
Hello my friend, great news 😃 Stay healthy, enjoy life!
Legend, thank you!! I think you have saved me for about 4 years in a row now! SO appreciate you, and this video!!
Hello there, many thanks for the kind words 😃 See you soon
Ask Bose to give u some money, you are way more usefull than them all
Wp !
Thank you 🙏 Very kind of you
Way more
Hi, at 80% the red light blinking stopped. But after update the red light started blinking again. Tried charging too.
Hey, keep it connected to charge until.it gets green. Hope this helps
update on this please, we have the same case
@@sharainedalde4488 no help. Still facing the same issue.
Thanks for this advise, pretty clear and useful. Key thing is that to move to advance mode in Bose Updater page, you have to press A,D,V, arrow up, arrow down, one after the other!....there where some few other videos where indicated to press all keys at a time, did not work!...I am glad found this video to correct this part.
Dear Julio, thanks for the feedback :) I am glad it worked
I have to say thankyou very very much , I was literally on the verge of putting my Bose speaker in the bin. This has worked . I now know that Bose have a built in battery protection . You tube is amazing .
You are very welcome, I am glad to hear that it worked :D BOSE are very secretive, it´s of course all about the $$. Stay healthy !
Give this man an award! This solution fixed my Soundlink Mini II that I thought was dead in the water. Cheers, mate!
Thank you, my friend 🙏
Wow!! Thanks so much for this information - it worked! My speaker has been 'dead' for a while and I was almost going to send it in for service when I found your post. It was really helpful, including the tips about the keys to press to get into advanced mode. Thanks again!
Hey Christine, many thanks for the kind feedback. I am glad it helped :) Take care!
Fantastic! I had the exact same issue. Left my device charging overnight and woke up to the red light blinking. You saved me! Gotta love UA-cam. Thanks a million!
Hey, thank you 🙏😃
Thanks so much! The only method that worked for my speaker! After trawling through countless fix videos and not finding a solution to the flashing red light, we finally have a working speaker! 🎉
I am glad it worked, my friend :D ! Enjoy your new speaker and take care !
this worked perfect! my speaker was up to date so following the instructions for advanced mode and clicking update was the steps that worked for me. thank you so much!
Good to know, glad I could help 😃
Could not get my speaker to work at all until watching this. Thankyou!
Hello Darling : ) I am glad that now it works, enjoy your "new" speaker! Stay healthy
Amazing I spent 5 hours trying to find a solution and watching tons of videos that didn't work. Shame on bows for not giving this explanation on their actual website. The regular update didn't work but using your method work brilliantly and just save me a lot of time effort and headache and more importantly money
Thank you for the feedback 😃
Thank you very much Razvan!!!! I have spent a couple of hours looking at different sites, videos etc. Your video was the best, especially the A, D, V up down (I had been on the Bose site with it plugged in and nothing until I did that!!) THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
Follow these simply instruction if your having issues!!
Hey Brent, good news 😃🙏 I am glad it worked. Take care!
As everyone else has said - looked around the internet for solutions, thought I'd be faced with buying a new battery, came across this video and thought I may as well try it... and voilà it worked. Don't need to be a tech wiz to follow either - you literally just press those keys on your keyboard (I was using a Mac), while sat on the plain webpage, a menu comes up and you just choose to update the speaker (even if its the same software version). Thanks Razvan!
Hey Tom, thank you very much for the feedback 😃🙏
I hope both sides of your pillows are cold, that you never burn your tongue on your food, that you always find an extra $20 in your jeans or wallet, I hope you meet the love of your life and spend a beautiful lifetime together because you are literally the only person who has helped me solve this problem.
This must be the best wish ever 😃 Thanks for the feedback, enjoy the "new speaker"!
Thank you so much for this video. I thought my mini link was dead and thinking of getting a new one. But I came across your this video, followed the instructions you've mentioned and it worked. Saved me. It worked without typing letters got easily updated. Thank you again. Really appreciate.
Hey Anu, you are very welcome 😃
Bose customer service couldn’t fix it and asked me to send in for repair charging me $50. Your youtube just save me from this! Thanks!!
Thanks for sharing 🙏 Now you can go to your favourite coffee place and enjoy !
Your instructions were very simple and very clear to follow-up. Although, I had to repeat the processes several times. Nevertheless, my Mini Soundlink 2 is now functioning again. Thank you very much for your tutorial! Super helpful!
Hey Mark, many thanks for the kind feedback 😃
I was about to hit pay on the Bose website for a $55 repair and thought to check if there was any way to fix it myself. Thank you sooooo much!!! This worked like a charm.
Dear Audrey, thanks for the feedback, I am glad it worked! Now you can use the 55$ for something else and enjoy your "new" Speaker :) ! Stay healthy!
@@razvanyke Sadly, it worked for about 20 minutes and then reverted to the red blinking light :( :( :( I'm emailing Bose to ask them what to do. It's obviously a software issue and I don't see why I should have to pay to get it "repaired" when it's an issue of their own making.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! It worked 👍👍👍👍 I've had this speaker sitting in a drawer for years and almost threw it away on several occasions. Just wanted to give it one last try - and then came across your video. And now it just stands there CHARGING 🤩 Unbelievable! Thank you soooooo much.
Now that's a cool feedback 😃 Many thanks, I am glad it works 😘🤗
I had searched all over to find out how to resolve this issue and your information corrected the issue I reloaded the firmware and it was fixed. Thank you for that.
Thank you for the comment, I am glad it helped :)
Hi... I am SO grateful to you! I followed your instructions (who knew just pressing some keys onto a webpage would make something appear?!) and my speaker now works. Your delivery and instructions were so clear and you have made me a very happy lady today! THANK YOU for both your knowledge and for you taking to time to record this video to benefit others. It's really kind and appreciated.. Anna
Hey Anna, many thanks for the kind feedback 😀 I am glad that your speaker is back to life. It was very frustrating to me when mine got the red light too. Take care!
Since few month I couldn´t restart my bose box,....even the bose-website couldn´t help. Thanks to this video it words again. Thankts a lot!!
You are welcome my friend :)
Thank you. Initially the Bose updater said my software was up-to-date. But when I updated anyway (following your instructions) the red light went away. Yay!!
Thank you for the feedback:) glad it worked
proper geezer this guy, people dont appreciate the value of a working bose mini 2 at 3am after a few lines
😅 thank you !
Excellent! I found no other videos that worked. Yours did. MUST use A, D, V, UP, DOWN. You saved my speaker!
Thank you.😄
Hey Richard, thanks for the feedback 😃 Glad it worked
thanks man i was really scared that it was the end, i got this speaker since 6 or 7 years maybe. first time i had this problem and in 10mins it was fixed. TY
Cheers, I am glad it worked :)
Razvan, you are a genius buddy. If ever you are in Australia, I want to buy you a beer. In fact, I want to buy you several beers. You have just saved me from taking my Bose Mini Speaker to have it fixed as the unit would not charge. I couldn't be happier mate. After watching your video, my speaker is working again, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I'm pretty sure that whoever I took it to to have it looked at would have probably just updated the software / firmware and charged me around $150 bucks telling me they spent hours on it. LOVE YA WORK.
Regards
Silver
Thank you very much, I will take on that and the next time I will visit your beautiful country, we'll try have those beers 😃 I know your frustration because I thought i'll throw mine too, before I found this workaround. Take care!
I almost went down the road of buying a new battery (don't make me solder motherboards) or a whole new unit. I "upgraded" my firmware from 11.4 to 11.4 which seemed idiotic but absolutely did the trick. I love this little speaker and its sound quality.
Good work 😃
It worked using my Mac! Thank you so much for this really helpful video. Saved me buying a new speaker! Bose really should highlight this software issue more clearly…
Thank you for the feedback :) I don´t see why BOSE would do anything about this issue, as this generates more sales for them. No company is on the market for the wellbeing of the client. Take care !
Thanks a lot … your suggestion solved the problem. Cannot believe that Bose has not given this option on their website. Was struggling for half a day to solve this issue.
Singh my friend, thanks for the feedback:)! If they would add this solution on their website, people would not buy new ones not knowing what caused the issue 🙈. Take care!
Hi Razvan Many thanks for posting this fix my speaker was stuck with red flashing light (left it overnight on charge without success). My software was up to date , used the same version and it showed signs of life at nearly 80%. Currently now charging. Thank-you 😊
Hey my friend, good news then 😃 Enjoy it and save my video because it will happen again if left unused for a while 🙈.
Maaaaan you are the GOAT my speaker stopped charging yesterday and was completely dead just had the flashing red light. The software update did the trick. Charging back up now 💯💯💯
THank you for sharing :D I am glad it´s back to life !
@Razvan thank you so much for your video, I spend my time in 10
videos and I thought that your directions was the best and guess what I recovered my speaker!!
Dear Fernando, many thanks for the feedback 😃
Thanks Razvan! Last night was totally disaster. My Soundlink was keep flashing in red after more than a month not using it. After try your tips more than 3 times, my Bose started to blink in orange and then green. Fantastic!!
Hey my friend, thank you for the feedback 😃
This method worked for my device as well.. I was in progress with checking the HW (opened up and take out the battery) but after following the instructions which worked very well for me.. the device was good again!
Hey, thanks for the feedback 😃 I am glad it worked.
YOU ABSOLUTE HERO.
I went through so many forums trying to figure out how to fix this 😭
Thank you, enjoy 😀
Thankyou , you saved my dead speaker and brought it back to life after searching youtube for hours and i was nearly having to go and buy a new battery off ebay , your a credit to youtube so thanks again :)
Thank you for the kind feedback 🙏 I am glad it worked well :)
Many thanks Razvan, brought the beast back to life from the annoying red light. Saved the day as i was ready to undo the whole thing to replace the battery. Thanks again.
Dear Pierre, thank you for the feedback, I am glad you could bring it back to life :D ! Be aware that it will happen again if you do not keep it charged all the time. BR,Raz
Thank you so much! Your video was the only one that explained how to do the 'advance settings' on the Bose Software Updater. This information was pure gold, my Bose Soundlink Mini Special Edition has been 'blinking red' and nothing else I tried would work. It is now happily charging. Thank you, amazing advice!!!
Hello Julie, thank you for the kind feedback 😀 I am glad it worked!
@@razvanyke it really did work. Just FYI, I had let the battery on the Bose Mini get too low, 10%. I plugged it in to charge, there was an initial response, then when I came back a few hours later the red light was flashing. I tried several things recommended on other You Tube videos, including pressing the middle button for 10 seconds, nothing happened, factory reset - nothing happened, connecting to Bose Updater - it said my firmware was up to date. I was definitely stuck. I looked again thru the You Tube videos and watched yours because your video title was so specific. The guidance to open up the Advance Settings on the Bose updater site was pure gold. Maybe you could include in the title something to do with this - it's the one piece of info the others don't have. Well done!
Hey Razvan. Thanks so much for posting this. I thought I had tried everything to fix the flashing red light issue, to no avail. Finally saw and watched your video which fixed the issue just as you indicated. Why Bose make it so hard I don’t know, but you are a genius. Cheers, Bruce
Dear Bruce, thank you for the kind feedback :D I am glad you brought your speaker back to life. If BOSE would post the video with the repair, they would not sell new speakers / nor charge big $$ for repairs which are doing exactly the above.
thankyou thankyou! Like others I searched and tried Bose info, then other forums/videos and was about to buy a battery and learn how to solder it in. Shame on Bose for making this fix so tricky to find and a huge thankyou Razvan!
You are welcome my friend 😃
Big thanks Ravan! I was able to update the speaker using the provided instructions. You're an angel indeed!
@anageorgia1764 hey Ana, many thanks for the kind feedback 🥳
Success, I managed to find few other wires to plug it into and the update screen changed to enable it to update software using Mac.thank you
Great news 🥳 Thanks for sharing
Thank you. I just did this and it worked perfectly. Only thing is to see how long it lasts before I have to do it again. And I'm happy for everyone else who gained from this, it's really frustrating to pay alot for something that doesn't last or have to pay alot to get it fixed.
Hey my friend, many thanks for the feedback 😀 Mine, from the video still works today, but if you leave it unused again, it will go back to the shipping modus. Stay healthy!
This WORKS !!!! I had two speakers same seemingly fault, but this simple download work a treat. When typing ADV up arrow down arrow make sure you use capitals......that's al it takes, Thank you Razvan
Thank you my friend, I appreciate the Support 😃
Brilliant it works not used mine for a year couldn't get it working due to red flashing light. Firmware was upto date and reflashed it all working. Thanks
Thank you 🙏 My very own is not working again 😃 If we do not use it then it will be again in the same status.
THANK YOU! It's April 2023 and this STILL worked.
Thank you too 😀
Looks like it still works in 2023! Mini II is currently charging again, thanks!
Enjoy, thank you 😃
You're a life saver friend. At first i thought its a battery issue since its more than 6 yrs old, i had it replaced. All good now 😊
Thank you, my friend 😃 I am glad you liked the video, save it because the speakers tend to return to shipping modus after a while.
Many thanks Razvan - I tried other fixes to no avail, but this solution worked first time. Massively helpful, and has saved me the hassle of dusting off the soldering iron. 👍
Hey my friend, many thanks for the feedback. I am glad it worked 😀
Followed the steps and it worked, absolutely brilliant, was abouts to buy a new battery thinking it was faulty
Thank you for the feeback, I am glad it helped :D ! Happy holidays !
Thank you! That solved the issue for me. Now it’s charging as it did before.
Hey, thanks for the feedback 😃
You saved my speaker, by going to the advanced setting in Bose website and forcing the update again (1.1.4) the speaker came to life. Thank you
Dear Peter, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! I am glad your speaker is working again 😃 Stay healthy!
Many thanks - it worked. This is the internet showing people at their best; helpful and supportive. Most appreciated. Razvan rocks. May good fortune come your way.
Thank you my friend 😃🙏 Glad to help!
Thanks so much! Tried several different options and was resining myself to purchasing a new battery for install or replacing all together, wife was happy her speaker works again.
Cheers to you and to the wife, when they are happy, we are too :)
Thank you for this FIX! 2 years and I wasn't able to use this wonderful Speaker. Couldn't find any solution. Razvan you are awesome. EVERYONE should just have a look at this solution and that's it
Thank you, my friend, very kind 😀 I am glad it worked. Check the other videos when you have time 🙏
Thanks a lot. My speaker has been showing red light for months and I thought it was an issue with the battery and I was thinking of changing the battery. I'm happy I came across this video. I followed the instructions in the video and my speaker is back to live again. I'm so happy!
Hey Irikefe, thanks for sharing, I am glad you can use again your speaker :)
Fantastic. I had watched so many videos with no luck and you solved it in two minutes!!
Hey my friend ! :D Thank you for the comment, best spent 2 minutes of today, right? Take care !
Yes you are a hero , it took me two attempts over two days , changing the cable may help as it could be faulty. I got it going you saved us some $$. Thank you very much indeed.
Hello my friend, thank you for the feedback 😀🙏
This still works. I noticed that I have a newer version of the Bose speaker with the USB C connection vs the older Micro USB connection. I looked on the Bose web site and they do not talk about the ADVC up down arrow... (I thought you were bullshitting here) but it actually does work. Thanks!!!
Hey James, thanks for the feedback 😃
Thank you so much from France ! I thought the battery was dead, but it's not. At last the orange light has come black, i think you've fixed my problem 🙏🙏 !
Hey, de rien 😀 I am glad it worked, enjoy! Thank you
It worked for me, thanks very much for sharing. I really thought I was going to have to install a new battery, you have saved me a lot of hassle.
Hey Dan, thank you 😃 I am glad it worked
I was about to bin my Soundlink too, when I found this post. It worked! Thank you.
Hey Andrew, thanks for the feedback 😃
It worked! I was just about to throw this thing in the trash. Every other video I found showed to do the update, but mine said it was already up-to-date. I was losing hope, but the advanced menu option that forces a reinstall worked. It reminded me of the old Nintendo update up,down, up, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, B, Start! Infinite lives! The Bose speaker lives on! Thank you!
Hello Rick my friend, I am glad to read your message full of enthusiasm. I felt 100% what you feel, I was about to go in a vacation with my girlfriend and wanted to take the speaker with us and it was dead, it was such a surprise for an almost new product. Then I found this solution and it came back to live. Thank you too,Raz
Brilliant thank you. All the info and links to recover my speaker. Two minute fix for an error I had never seen before after many years of use.
Thank you for the kind feedback 😃
Worked like a charm. I have been using this speaker for at least 5 years. This is the first time I am experiencing such thing and thanks to you, the issue is solved. Just followed all of your steps without any stress.
Thanks for sharing this, yeah the sound is awesome and for such a high quality built speaker, the software is a bit flimsy and is scaring the buyers. I do wonder how many people have not seen this workaround and just bought a new one :(
And you have now saved yet another Bose SoundLink II! Thank you!!!
Thank you too 😀 Enjoy!
RAZVAN you revived my speaker! Thank you so much you are sent from above. Praying for you from afar.^^
Hello, good to know 😃 I am glad it now works again
Thank you! Nothing worked until I came across your software update instructions. Thanks again.
Hi Nigel, I am glad I could help. Thanks for the kind comment.
My soundlink mini II has been silence for many years until today. So a big thank you Razvan for creating this vid.
this method worked perfectly for my bose soundlink mini first version. thank you.
Thank you ! After more than an hour of fiddling with increasing annoyance, luckily I came across your explanation and the problem was solved in 1 go! It is outrageous to put an expensive product on the market in such a minimal way. Box almost thrown out the window. Bose resembles the word Boos in Dutch and means Angry !
Hello Lode, thank you for the feedback:) It might be economically more convenient for BOSE to not release this solution, so people will pay the repair (which might be exactly this) or purchase a new product. Enjoy the speaker !
@@razvanyke Hi Razvan Andries, yes that will certainly be the case. Making and selling something that is almost broken. We end up digging our own grave. But don't end up too negative; we are happy with the sound ! Kind regards Lode Bruins
It worked even without taping the letters. I have a Soundlink Mini 1. Thank you so much!
Hey Julia, many thanks for the feedback! Enjoy your "new" speaker 😃
Omg your video saved me from trashing my new (less than 6 months old!) Mini Bose speaker! I watched a dozen vids before coming across yours and your short & to the point vid did the trick!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Dear Suzette, thank you for sharing this with me :) Enjoy your newly born speaker and stay healthy!
HOLY CRAP!!!! This actually worked! Dude, you saved me money. I appreciate you for uploading and sharing this video. :)
Hey my friend, glad it worked 😃 Take care! Thanks for the feedback
Thanks Bro. great explanation, you just recovered my DEAD BOSE.
Thank you too for the message 😃
Thank you, thank you, thank you. The means of getting advanced mode of 'updating' my updated software sorted this issue at last!
You are welcome 😃
Many thanks ,clearly explained, and it worked. Note if the download fails, keep trying , mine downloaded 100% after 4 tries
Hey Nic, you are welcome! I am glad it worked :) stay healthy
it is showing "no dice, there is no available updates for this product"
how can I re-install it?
It works just doing the update for me with the Bose SL Mini 2. Thank you for the help!
You are welcome 😃
This video was spot on! Thank you so much! I don't understand why the Bose help resources don't have this but I'm glad you did the leg work... nice job!
Dear Susan, thank you for the kind feedback. I do hope one day they will implement this on their support page, until then they help me getting views :) stay healthy
thanks for sharing! Now I hope it was only a software glitch which freezed our speakers and not a real battery failure
My pleasure 🤗
This just helped me bring my speaker back to life! Thank you.
Great news, enjoy 😃🙏
