Try this method: all mineral and all SPF 50. Layer 1: cetaphil liquid sunscreen Layer 2: Australian gold botanical spf 50 tinted. It really works to keep skin hydrated but still matte, its light and feels like nothing on the skin. Works well under make up or even without (I love that!) and no white cast from the tinted sunscreen. They are both cheap options so I've been able to use regularly without worrying about that.
You will need a double cleanse to take these off and I'm very careful around my neck so I don't stain clothes with the tinted sunscreen.
Ha, this is similar to what I do. I layer 1. Cerave cream, then 2. Australian Gold on top. Most amazing combo. Wish I had started doing this before my 40's though. 🤦🏼♀️
I want to try Inky but why do all these companies only offer 30 SPF? Regardless of what people say 30 SPF doesn't protect you like a 50 SPF and higher.
SPF protection is measured by the dose so if you’re applying enough, it is adequate.
It looks nice. I've never had a chemical sunscreen leave a while cast and prefer an SPF higher than 30. Thanks for sharing and always look for well priced products.
Thanks! I will try this. “Don’t neglect the neck”! 😊
I am literally looking for a video about recommendations if buying sunscreen
Thank you for your time
Your videos are always valuable.
I'll stick to my Asian sunscreens that are spf 50 and also affordable (and they NEVER sting my eyes).
I love asian beauty products. May I ask the sunscreen you use? Thanks!!
@@angieparton6434 I use many! I'm always trying new ones. 😊
@rosej9686 Hi! Can you share names of specific Asian sunscreens you've used and loved? I'd love to try some that others have had luck with. 😊

I bought this per your recommendation and love it!
Appreciate the information. Thanks!!
dear doc, your videos are ALWAYS very good - my experience with Inkey: sunscreen made me breakout- I rarely break out -
Please would you do a recommendation video of your top 5 foundations for those with fungal acne or rosacea that do not have perfume or sun screen. Thank you :)
Another favorites of hers and other derms that's under $20 is Australian Gold Botanical SPF 50.
But the zinc oxide and titanium dioxide percentages are very low in that. Does sunscreen really work at such low percentages?
Their ‘purple bottle’ is unscented mineral sunscreen that’s perfect for the beach. I had a hard time getting it off without doing a double cleanse.
Lab Muffin covers how zinc oxide percentage isn't the only factor in whether or not a sunscreen is effective (particle size counts as well for distribution). Like a lot of skincare, it's also based on formulation.@@laibanush5431
Always love your videos 😊❤xx
Can’t buy this one because chemical sunscreen sting my eyes. I hike long distance and most hikers use zinc because the sweat and chemical sunscreen in the eye can ruin a day in the woods. But I like the price point.
Love your videos...thank you!!!
This sounds great and looks so interesting! I would love to see a larger bottle and SPF 50. I have recently moved to wearing SPF 50‘s only I find that mineral based sunscreen at this SPF is less drying than SPF 30. They often contain the same amount of zinc, but more emollience white cast yes, but I’m learning to modify my make up to accommodate for this. I am currently pregnant with my third baby so between vitamins and hormones, my susceptibility to sun burns is even greater. I do hope that company is well consider producing larger bottles of their sunscreens. It seems that as of late, these more cosmetically, elegant type of sunscreens come in very small little bottles.
Do you have friends or colleagues with skin that has a higher melanin content that could also try the sunscreens? It is so hard to find sunscreen for darker skin that actually doesn't leave a weird cast.
Try bliss Spf 30 tinted 🎉I like it
Where is the best place to ask you questions? Here on UA-cam or Instagram?
Can you pretty please do a video on Korean cushion foundations?
Love the Asian sunscreens. Haven’t used one that I didn’t like
I have very dry wrinkly neck any idea what would help
I have vitiligo, any skin care to remove it?
T problem with SPF of US made sunscreen vs SPF of EU or Asian is that SPF of US is initial SPF the minute of application tyen rapidly declines to zero, while in others SPF is the protection for 180 minutes.
Quick question. Can I add my own tint to untainted sunscreen without taking away from the SPF?
I do that but it does require a double application. A thorough layer of regular sunscreen, let it set & add a little more sunscreen with the tinted product of you choice (I like D-Bronzi, ABH liquid glow or Milani glow). 👍🎉
I need a higher SPF due to where I live 🤷🏼♀️
Is lynton spf 50 good
I so wish they had the knowledge you have now, the damage is already done😢😢😢in my younger years
Budget code didn’t work.😢
What about a good sunscreen for rosacea prone skin that is also super sensitive and 46 years old? Thanks!
I have rosacea & it’s really trial and error for each person’s skin, but I can share what has worked for me. If you’re looking for options with mineral filters : I love the Elta UV physical (neutral satin finish), Colorscience original or Flex (dewy finish), & the Australian Gold tinted (very matte).
If you want organic/chemical filters: I love the La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Light Fluid (matte finish), Eucerin Advanced Hydration (very dewy finish but super hydrating), or the Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel (tiny bit shiny, but neither matte nor dewy).
The Skin Aqua is my top favorite tho. And the newer non-US filters don’t sting at all. Even the alcohol in the formula doesn’t sting one bit. It’s crazy. And it’s an absolute dream to apply!
I’m allergic to the sun so the big thing I don’t like bout chemical sunscreen is the smell😛 the only ones that smell good is the mineral ones.
You missed your top eyelids ;)
Of course, it doesn’t have a white cast, because it is chemical sunscreen. Only mineral sunscreens have white cast so I’m baffled that people even mention it. That said, I agree with one of the other commentators, I’ll stick to my Asian sunscreens, the only ones that don’t burn eyes. By the way, chemical sunscreens are much cheaper to produce than mineral.
What Asian sunscreen do you use?

What “clean “ means ???
It's just the latest gimmicky marketing term. It means nothing. (I'm surprised the doc even made this reference.)
But r these sunscreens?
