    Great Video!
    I assume the intercooler bottom tray was not installed at the end of the video? (The intercooler is sticking below by 2")

    Can you see the intercooler in the M hole bumper or if it is hidden behind the the AC condenser ?

    Thanks for the video. Did you consider removing the cooling fan assembly to allow more room for the IC install?

    • @EastCoastGarage
      @EastCoastGarage  3 роки тому +1

      This might be a very effective note, did you notice it worked better? I believe the intercooler gets caught on something other than the fan however

      @@EastCoastGarage I have done everything else except this. A few 5post colleagues have stated that removing the fan assembly made install easier. Also, some members removed the CP to allow more play in lower CP. On the F10, it can be very tight. Now that there are several IC brands to choose from, pricing has become competitive. I have seen the temp logs of the various brands, and all are consistently cooler than stock. Beneficial mod for those tuned. Thanks again for the video!

      @@jwherron well I’m sorry it was so difficult the tan assembly isn’t awful to remove it might be worth a try. I’m glad you liked our video!

    Great video. When removing stock Intercooler, was their a trick to disconnect the driver side (intake) Intercooler from lower charge pipe? I got the c clip removed but doesn’t seem like their is much play for the Intercooler to drop out and down. Passenger side pipes disconnect easily. Thanks for the video.

      Todd Vishnauski I apologize I never saw this comment but I wouldn’t say there are any tricks to it, you honestly just need to push and pull at the right angles enough times and it will come off really easy.

    Hey Nice video, can you tell in another video what is the program you use to see the engine horse power and torque, I didn’t know that such a thing was posible lol!
    Also, I have a stock 2011 535i F10 N55
    will you start going for stage 2 instead of stage 1?how much of a difference in cost will be? Thank you!

    Would it have been easier to get the Intercooler connected to the boost pipe if the radiator and fan were out of the car??

    • @EastCoastGarage
      @EastCoastGarage  4 роки тому

      David Aguirre I don’t think taking out the radiator and fan would help connecting the boost pipe but they will definitely help to fit the Intercooler itself in their if you are having issues fitting it in. I mean I suppose you could say removing this will give you more room to access the boost pipe but I really don’t think it would help too much. If you are having serious issues with the boost pipe, first remove your charge pipe and the boost pipe will slide right on

      Getting the 2 flanges in is the hard part.
      I heard a guy say take off the front bumper; not sure how that’s going to help get the 2 flanges in.

      @@davidaguirre6745 I just did my tensioner and belt, and that required taking the electric fan out. If you combined the two tasks it would be easier from the looks of things.

    • @EastCoastGarage
      @EastCoastGarage  4 роки тому +2

      David Aguirre I really don’t see how removing the front bumper would help. That video may have been for an f30 I believe the process involves removing the bumper but honestly it didn’t take us more than 10 minutes of shoving the intercooler in. It definitely will leave some scratches getting it in but it will get in without damage I promise

    How did you get past the small radiator hose without damaging it ?

    • @EastCoastGarage
      @EastCoastGarage  4 роки тому

      Honestly I would just say that things are much less likely to break than you think. Obviously don’t go crazy but I’ve noticed on this car most things have decent play

      @@EastCoastGarage yes I know what you mean, sometimes it’s best to have the confidence with the build quality and go for it.... which is what I did today - installed my VRSF intercooler in my garage at home - damn it is a tight fit, wasn’t as seamless as yours, but I got there with a few tricks 🧙‍♂️

    What tune and everything are you using I was using sports display but my f10 was only doing around 240 or so and I have catless down pipes and charge pipe and Mhd stage 2.

    • @EastCoastGarage
      @EastCoastGarage  3 роки тому +1

      If you are only around 240 you most likely have a 528i or a broken 535 because they should come stock with about 300 and then I got mine up to over 400 with everything you just listed off. The 528 is only 4 Cyl therefore much less horse

    Thanks for posting this! Appreciate it man! I actually just got one of these on sale. How much of a difference did you notice with the intercooler and charge pipe? Fitment ended up pretty good I assume? I've heard mixed messages on VRSF but the stats I've see on the intercooler were too good to pass up for the price.

    • @EastCoastGarage
      @EastCoastGarage  4 роки тому +1

      NNHGroup absolutely insane difference in power. Once adding a downpipe and air intake we can start running stage 2 👀 fitment was fine once we started really messing with it. Take a minute to get the pipes off and on.

      @@EastCoastGarage Yeah Im still under warranty so no downpipe yet, I have the AFE intake and it was a noticeable difference, running active autowerke tune. Was planning to drop in the intercooler tomorrow but thought about getting the charge pipe. I kinda don't want to wait so seems like more work for me lol
