I have always wanted to make an attic window quilt but my concern is the distortion of the panel picture when you cut it and add the sashings without making allowance for the space they take up and not cutting more of the panel away. Hope this makes sense.
I totally agree. You can't have half an ear on one window, a 3" interruption, then the other half ear. You need to cut some of the sides of each window to have the picture make visual sense to your brain.
Ooo, wouldn't it be cute to applique snow or icicles on the window sill?
