- This is a video of our 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring during a Night Drive POV Owner Review. You get to see what the car looks like inside at night time. I briefly demonstrate how awesome the cruise control feature is. One of my favorite things about the car. More videos on the way in the near future. Thanks for watching and coming along on this journey with me.
This car is so easy to love and it does pretty much EVERYTHING well, even the price. I remember the Civics of old, how far have things come now. This car genuinely feels luxurious, especially at night with some light shimmering through the cabin, it's a very nicely appointed car.
It feels like a European sports sedan. I often forget it’s a civic.
I just got mine yesterday, upgraded from a 2017 Civic LX and I’m in love with my new civic.
This Night review made me to buy one of these in future amazing
Great way of driving test. Nice! Thanks for doing it
Got mine last week…loving it! Getting accessories installed today/tomorrow. 🙂👍🏽❤️
Congratulations my guy!!! I’m dropping a new video on how to de badge and black out the emblems really soon. DIY video
@@mr.rene2u Cool. I’ll be looking for it. 👍🏽
Great video man. When this car first came out, I wanted the Sport trim but now I can see how much better all of the extra features are on the EX-L or Sport Touring.
I agree. My first Honda. I went for the Sport touring because I wanted the upgraded interior.
It was extra, but on a car that hood it’s value… a smart investment.
best hatchback ever!
cool video really enjoyed the content
I’m just glad they added the volume knob. I keep turning the temp up or down on my 2018 civic
Love your video
I have that exact car I just got it couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it… The way it drives the power it looks cool… And the road noise is hardly anything at all can’t believe how nice it is thank you again for the video
Congrats. Not too many hatchbacks out there… I’ve only seen 1 besides mine.
One important fact I rarely see mentioned is that the touring trim gets improved sound insulation.
Thanks for the ride!
Great video and such a beautiful Honda
Got mine, it is incredible! Love it got it in Blue.
Blue looks great!!
Loved the video
I’m glad I made a trade in! This vehicle feels well “bada$$.” Luxurious vibes for sure! Love how silent the engine is but she is hella fast. Look closely to the platinum white pearl paint on the model, it’s shimmery:)
Shimmery it is!!! I’ve been hand washing it and it definitely glistens with light.
I traded my Lexus NX for this last week. It has better safety features and more comfortable interior than the Lexus. I’m very happy I got this.
I know right. Hard to believe this is a civic.
Payment too probably how much u pay for it?
@@yohalmocarrillo7530 the NX was already paid for and was appraised at 38K while the Civic was 34,300 out the door. Originally I purchased it as a “treat yo self” kind of thing but as time went on the suspension became a nuisance as did the non touchscreen infotainment and twice the battery needed replacing which was warranty covered as I was still well under 36K miles. Being a Honda/Acura individual I went with the Civic Touring and so far no problems!
Mntjsp
No, it doesn't have better safety features than a Lexus NX.
Ilove this car!!! Drivin it is when you know how awesome this is!!!
Drives like a machine
Looking forward to see what you do to it. Definitely like the idea of blacking out the badges!!
you can get this as a factory option thankfully
My next car beautiful man 💯👏🏼
Patiently waiting for mine to come within the next 4 weeks. Seriously love this car’s looks - only thing I wish it had was full LED lights in the rear (turn signals and reverse lights).
Congratulations. The front has the LED’s and the rear should match. With you 100 %!
How much did you get the car? I've been looking at one
@@Vscounter Canadian MSRP
Honda prob didn’t make it fully led because of the new integra.
I know man… not a big deal but it still frustrates me how they go through all the effort to make the front end look nice but cheap out with the rear taillights. I’m also disappointed that the new Si didn’t come with the 2.0T from the Accord.
This thing looks clean with the white and blacked out wheels!!
Getting mine tomorrow got a touring sedan in sonic grey pearl gonna get tings also cant wait
nice vid. im the 300th subscriber, yay!
Ayyyeeee I appreciate it! 🙏
Great video brother. Just got the Boost Blue Sport.
Congrats bro! I like that color.
Thanks for the video, looking to buy one in the next two weeks. And you live in my area lol.
Then you better say hi!!! Haha I’ll take a chick fil a gift card 😂.
Just got mine today in grey!!!
Sick bro. Mine is being built right now and the accessories have been ordered!!
Awesome!! What did ya get?
@@mr.rene2u this exact car + the HPD package and blacked out emblems!
What A Sporty And Beautiful Look Waiting In Pakistan For This Beast
Here in the states we have this… but in other areas in the world they have different models.
But I am VERY pleased with this one.
The hatch looks good!
Wait until the new video. The car looks amazing.
Niiiiiiicest civic yet one of the best ❤ it
This channels is gonna be big soon, keep it up bro!
Picking up one of these on Saturday, in Bopst Blue.
Great!!!
I just got mine yesterday!! I think I’m gonna film a video too you just inspired me haha
Go for it.
Just checked your channel. No Honda video. Sad Panda 🐼
@@kaceydillin7367 :( I’m sorry lol I ended up thinking it would be the same as everyone else’s! I do want to chat about my CarMax selling experience though, that’s what prompted me to get this car! CarMax offered me $4k over what I purchased my last car for. It was pretty crazy.
@@BrookeMcGee I was just giving you a hard time. Always curious of other customers perspectives. I want one, but finding a manual transmission is pretty hell here in Texas.
@@kaceydillin7367 I got the CVT! No chance was I driving Manual in Jersey City where I live :D
How do you feel about the hpd spoiler? I’m debating it.
Hey man, just bought one of these how do I keep the car on my screen while driving? Or do I have to be in cruise control only for this to work?
I got a boost blue added spoiler and door visors with black honda front and back H badges and black civic badge. Just got 5 percent window tint on all windows and 50 percent tint on windshield. Looks very sharp. I am excited got a little of both worlds having a 2021 limited edition honda civic type-r and a 2022 honda civic sport touring in boost blue. Just put it out my limited edition honda civic type-r is for sale has 129 miles has badge number USA 059 out of 600 located in Jacksonville fl.
Sounds like your have a nice collection there. The best part of this is that these cars hold their value.
Thanks for watching bro!
How is the headlight illumination when driving at night? Are you satisfied
A minor/tasteful mod that I love is to put a strip of black vinyl over the underside of the piece of the very front end where the H logo hangs from. The way that it’s like.. half on the panel and half on the grill really feels odd to me. There are companies that sell tailor-made vinyl pieces that will fit over that first strip of paneling right over the grill to make it look like the grill is just sliiiightly bigger than it is and the H will be fully contained within that space instead of resting on the edge
Oh yeah!!! 🤗🤗
Exactly what I say in my head cruising down the highway.
How is the strength of the headlights?
man love this dudes voice
so calm
That’s what she said
Dude ur in Atlanta? I’m in Lawrenceville. Waiting for my sport touring hatchback in white. Should be here in a couple of weeks. Can’t wait to start messing with it. Ordered the hpd wing- it’s on national backorder though. Also ordered the black emblems , and black lugs with black wheels locks.
I’m Very Close to Lawrenceville ..
Might see me in these streets lol 😂
And also did the car come remote start from the dealer bro? Or is it just push to start?
Nice car! Are the taillights aftermarket or oem?
You realize you can't get sunburned with your windows up, right? 😂 good video
Lol.. well not if it’s tinted. This Atlanta Sun is brutal.
Fun, informative video. It’s hard to tell, are the steering wheel controls lit?
Yes.
What do you think is the easiest colour to maintain SGP, White or Meteor Grey? Great review btw!
The great looks good… but I like the white more.
Lighter colors hide the dirt better.
I usually like black paint but the white looks clean
I almost got a black one, however being really hard to find, and the USA has limited inventory, I had to grab the white.
I love this car! I would get the 6 speed manual personally but I think it is a great vehicle and seems like a lot of fun. Only thing I don't like are the color choices w/manual transmission - they only give you 3. And black is the only interior color. I think the front looks a lot like the 1990-1993 Accord that I had for my first car. Love the design
Thanks for watching the video. In my opinion this hatchback looks very close to the si.. which I prefer the sport touring over the si.
Same engine. Chassis. Suspension. Just a hatchback with a luxury interior.
True - I prefer the look of the hatchback as well, however, with a manual it costs more than the Si sedan. Also, the Si has a mechanical LSD. TOUGH DECISION!
What are the three colors available
@@eric9249 been wondering about SI as well. Remote start, wireless charging etc are cool
Help me solve a dilemma. Would you get a 22-23 civic hatchback touring or a Tesla model 3? Tell me reasons why.
Nice video! I recently bought a 22 hatchback sport touring. Quick question , do you have glare issues with your back window tint when a car is behind you? The glare on my back window happen during night driving. It looks like it’s coming from the line in the defroster. Had the tint guy re did it 3 times now and the annoying glare is still there. So disappointed. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Ok, so I am NOT a fan of the glass that comes on windshield and tailgate. Also window noise from drivers door.
Content on the way.
So do you experience any glare on your tint rear window during night driving?
I get the same issue with my XPEL prime XR plus ceramic tint 30% on the rear. It causes some light refraction. I didn’t know if it was a common issue as well. From what I’m seeing so far, these new civics have thicker defrost lines and that may cause it. We may have to live with it unfortunately. LMK if you find any resolution to this issue.
I was hoping for a 0-60. I would have to get a custom exhaust for this
How are you filming and recording audio? GoPro? Your phone? What’s the setup?
GoPro ..and several other cameras.
It’s a lot honestly.
What size are the wheels bro??? And what’s the offset on those wheels?
Do you not have the orange alert light in the side mirrors when a car passes in your blind spot? I would have though Honda sensing pack has this?
Yes, my Vehicle is equipped with blind spot monitoring.
Do you have any light refraction issue with the rear tint around the defrost lines? It can be annoying at night that light is refracted more than it should be compared without the tint.
I hate the glass on the car. My 1 year review that will be out shortly will cover that exact topic. Stay tuned.
Cool
Agreed
How good are the lights during the night as per your opinion? Thanks!
This was a major concern for me. I drive an Escalade that lights up the back of someone head in front of me so good…. You could see the red through their ears 👂. 😂
So this Civic….. is BRIGHTER!! The Fog Lamps light up the lower front nicely.
Is that third switch button at the lower left of your dashboard for the foglights? Because from what I have seen in videos is that the Sport models only have 2 switches there, not 3.
Good question. That switch is for controlling the Parking sensor system. So basically allows you to adjust each side of the car with distance relevant to objects while parking with a radar. Took me awhile to figure that out.
@@mr.rene2u None of the reviewers mention where the foglight switch is. Some cars have it there. That's why I mentioned it.
@@jjacob25101 the foglight switch is on the light stalk I believe
@@josephj1234567 Is it? I never got to see inside a Touring Sedan or Sport Touring Hatchback, and never had anyone mention it on a video. I would imagine it being on a blank spot next to the other switches lower left near the door as 2 or 3 of my cars had it there, and it seems a most logical place for it.
@@jjacob25101 yeah that’s where Honda has their fog switch in most if not all their models that offer it. My 2019 accord and 2021 civic had it on the stalk
How does one find this car with a standard transmission ?
Your average mpg is 26? Kinda low from what I’ve been hearing. And you say you usually drive with economy mode? How bad does it get if you drive in sport?
I’m getting 42 in economy which is more than what the car is rated for. Sport mode is more like mid twenties… Eco mode is what I drive on since it has plenty of pick up when the pedal is stomped on.
Great ride. Very quiet. The cruse control demonstration was cool. Can you do a video where you test out the lane correction feature? Thanks.
I’ll try to squeeze that into my 1 year review.. coming soon!
Looks like a promising first car 😌
It’s my grocery getter. Lol
Any kid who gets this for their first car is very lucky.
@@MagicCarpetRide8669 Facts, my first car was a $5000 2000 toyota corolla lmao
Did you do window tint at the dealer or elsewhere? Want to do that for my 2021 sport. I also can't find a good cell phone holder for the life of me.
I went out and found a local shop near me. I’m very picky. So I went for a quality tint made of ceramic to deflect heat and solar glare & damaging UV light.
@@mr.rene2u Good to know. My old 99 civic that finally died had nice sun bleached mats :)
What's the price range for these now?
How did you get the color of the wheels to be black? I'm going to purchase a sport tour, but the wheels come in gray or something?
The hatchback sport touring comes with these wheels. The touring sedan has the silver rims.
Excellent question Aleks, I was also wondering that. Thank you!
How much did you get your honda sport tour for? I know msrp is 30k, but whats a reasonable price for this car? Went to a dealership and they asked 42,000 then lowered to 39,500 for this 0.0
I paid $1600 over sticker. I called around from dealer to dealer. Everyone is up charging. Not fair that they are jacking the prices up on the buyers… but for $1600 I didn’t want to loose the car.
Stay tuned for my next video that will breakdown the costs and my experience.
Are there lights in the middle of the trunk? Like brakes light that light up? Looks kind of odd that it’s just blank there at night .
Yes there is. Should be able to see that on the 360 drone shot on my channel.
if given the choice would you chose a Camry or the Civic Hatchback Touring?
Great question.
I actually shopped Toyota.. that was my first choice. However due to availability issues I ended up going back home to do a little more research. Once we saw the civic interior…. Boom. Easy choice.
For us the Sport Touring hit every check line. Technology , comfort, MPG, style & reliability.
@@mr.rene2u Isn't the Camry a nicer ride? Larger seating area up front?
I’m 6 ft tall and bulk do you thinks there’s enough space for someone like me, great video over all
I’m 6ft. 205lbs.. I fit behind the drivers seat set to my drivers position. Once I saw that I was fine back there.. bought the car.
I got mine yesterday. Does anyone know how to turn off the auto-lane correction feature? I’d prefer changing lanes without my car vibrating, especially if I happen to not turn on my turning indicator
I believe you can adjust this on the settings menu on the dash.
@@mr.rene2u yeah been trying to figure it out but it won’t turn off lol. I’ll figure it out eventually
Is the interior quiet, i like quiet civics. I think the SI and R have the fake sound effects and makes it unnessarily loud I hear?
For the most part… it’s quiet besides the drivers door sounding like the window is cracked.
So I guess the revs were high, 3k rpm or so, while highway cruising because it was in sport mode? Assuming it’s a little more relaxed and lower rpm cruising when in normal or Econ.
So here it is…
Sport mode is a beast…
It’s just too fast. I forget I’m driving a Honda. 🤯
Do all hatchbacks some with sunroofs ? I’m getting the regular Civic Sport Hatchback 2022 , will it come with one or is it just the touring that has it ?
There are only 2 trims in the hatchback that have a 1 touch sunroof.
The EX-L and the Sport Touring.
If you go to honda dot com you can select the 2022 civic and select build. Then you can compare trim levels to see what model comes with what. Hope that helps.
Thanks for watching.
Do you guys think fog lights are necessary?
Where I live… YES!!!
If I may ask what are some of your likes and dislikes about this car?
My likes.
The style of the hatchback and overall appearance of the exterior of the car. The handling feels really good. The interior and space.
My dislikes- The glass. Looks cheap on windshield and rear window. The lineup of the panels and seems between doors are all off.
The engine auto shut off is annoying…. But I love the car overall.
Im planning for a new car... Is this better than Hyundai Elantra N Line and Mazda 3?
I’m not an expert on those other cars.
But I will say that they envy me at every light. Lol
how do you guys deal with the road noize that comes at 60mph and above? I tried to lower tire pressure, feels better, any tip on that?
I have zero road noise from tires. Might be because I have nitrogen in my tires instead of air. Gets better mileage and perhaps makes it quieter.
@@mr.rene2u Confirmed, car got much quieter after 1k miles, probably it was all new tires, but I still try to keep it at 30psi.
I saved up a fair of change for a new car cause my old highlander is probably going to my mom,
And at first I wanted a Dodge Charger cause my mom actually wanted to road trip with it
But I honestly am
Sort of swinging for either this or the accord
But what worries me is that the turbo only comes on the sport touring
Do you think it’s worth it to maybe spring more for the 180Hp turbo config?
Cause I am debating between this and the plain sport
I like the turbo in mine. It has plenty of passing power and impressive for a 4 cylinder. Now that we have one I’m glad I didn’t buy some of the other cars we had planned on getting.
The interior inside a sport touring is pure sport luxury. Nicer inside than an Si or the other models.
I didn’t realize it was the Mall of GA parking garage for the first 2 minutes 😂
Yes 🙌! Lol
How’s the road noise ?
The road noise on mine is about equivalent as having the sunroof cracked a bit…
bruh is that the mall of Georgia lmaoo, which do you think is better the sport or the ex ?
Mans got to do what he’s go to do son lol..
I like the sport.. but overall sport touring because the interior is next level.
So the wireless charging doesen't actually charge your phone?
My phone charges on the pad. It’s a slow charge so if you need a quicker charge there is a dedicated charging port above the pad.
According to the dealership, the wireless charging system will only maintain the battery life of the phone. I had it on for 2 hours and I got a little more of a charge but nothing more.
Makes sense, I haven’t done any long drives. I did get 2% after about 15 minutes but I wasn’t running anything on the phone except music. It’s definitely never gonna charge a phone during a normal drive like the manual says. It’s still good if you have a decent charge so you don’t lose any battery during the drive. Just gotta keep the cord at the ready I guess.
Does it have a side mirror camera ??
Negative …
Does everyone have to have the touring? It’s literally all I see. I wanna see some Sport trim.
I have yet to see one in the wild or dealer. I am hearing very few hatchbacks will be made. Seems all new cars now a days are mostly pre orders. Unfortunately The days of walking into a dealer and seeing inventory are gone. Sad times we live in.
They are like unicorns. These Civics especially, even the sedans are in short supply. I went to 3 dealers and only found 1 sedan and 1 hatch. Two had none on the way, one had 2 on order but couldn’t say when they would get them. Hopefully things will get better in the future.
Is that an automatic your driving ? I dont know cars that well that’s why im asking
Yes.
How are the headlights in real life? On the video, they don't seem so great.
To be honest. One of the brightest cars on the road today. SUPER BLINDING BRIGHT.
I think it’s brighter than my Escalade … which is so bright people high beam me thinking I have high beams. Then I flash them back and they see stars for hours. 😂
So yea.. this Civic is Super Bright & has matching Fog Lamps that help like Rambo in the desert. 😎
@@mr.rene2u great! thank you very much.
Does it have interior ambient lighting?
Not like a Benz… but has a nice glow from ceiling to shine… almost invisible ..
What percent tint you have ?
I have 20% Ceramic Tints.
@@mr.rene2u Do you have any issue seeing at night like if there’s no street lights?
@@Jonathan_Ace I have 20% tint on my 2012 civic and yes I do struggle to see at night sometimes. I plan on buying this civic actually and I'm going to go 35% tint.
Next time....... please do your test drive in day light..... thanks !!
I’ll sneak one in soon.
i cant wait to have one maybe 5 more years lol. can i ask the fuel efficiency? I want this to be my first car
I’m getting 37 MPG combined on eco mode.
When it’s in Sport Mode…
Not so much
@@mr.rene2u thanks!
What about the door ambience light?
What about it?
How are you liking the car today?
The digital instrument display looks kind of cluttered and fussy in that particular layout
It has the ability to change the display to something else. I like it this way. At first I thought it was a lot going on, but I do like as much info ready. In person the display is very clean.
I'm still trying to get over the fact the auto only comes with a CVT. Makes Mazda look more enticing with the Mazda 3.
The only thing I don't like the news Mazda 3 is that infotainment system has no touchscreen.
So we’re 3000 miles into the car. I had my reservations on the CVT.
I love it now… saves more gas than the manual. Once you get used to it, it is actually very nice. Smooth and perfect for day to day…
NOW…. With that said… this car would be so much fun if I had a manual ….
I was going to buy the type are but the Elantra N blows all the Honda’s out of the water.
I’m not a big fan of the Type R interior. I like the luxury and comfort look. Those Elantra’s have great interiors.
Thanks for watching. 👍
bro stop, the type r is arguably the best driving car out there regardless of price.
@13:00 is literally how i drive. Because why would that other civic hit their brakes like that?? People piss me off.
You should add the oem honda spoiler
I don’t like the OEM rear spoiler. I would do something like a lip.. subtle.
@@mr.rene2u the HPD spoiler is very subtle 😏
Civics are great n mines is really loud🤣
Oh geez. Lol
Why did you skimp on the HPD package?
Looks nice bro! I still like my 10th gen civic better haha.
Haha. I hear you bro. But wait until I’m done with this one. There’s so much aftermarket stuff out there.
