I think this works for certain frequencies. Mine is a very high pitched sound. Kinda like when you switched on those old CRT tvs.
      I use this with headphones.

It'll give me silence for about 30 seconds and then the tinnitus returns.
I only use it when my tinnitus flares up and becomes unbearable. It reduces the flare-ups after the 30 seconds of silence.

And when I clicked this video the constant static ringing went away immediately and I haven't felt that peace in days. I've now been playing this sound on loup for the past 2 hours and don't plan to leave the video.

I had to turn this on full volume, I didn’t think there was any sound from it at first then I realised it was because it’s the same sound as my tinnitus which is really loud at the moment, anyway, I took my ear phone out and ALMOST silence, it was now just a much quieter version…..I’m going to keep trying this, not sure how long it works for so going to put sound back up and try again.

Not sure if there's a cure or not. It seems to either just go away at some point or never.
The first few days and weeks are tough. I thought my life was over. But your brain will adjust. The key is not too stress about it. Don't panic. Visit an ENT to see what can be done.
There are also hearing aids that can mask the noise. If these are properly calibrated, they'll completely mask your tinnitus.
Personally got mine before the holidays and one piece of advice I was to find a hobby to take my mind off worrying about it.
It's been about 2 years. I've learned to live with it. Sometimes I actually forget I have it. I only remember because I'll suddenly remember I have it and realise that I watched an entire movie and did some work before bed but the whole time I had nothing.
Tldr; If you try to ignore it you brain will assume it's not important. The more you worry about it the more important your brain will think it is. Kinda like how you can sleep with the tv or loud music on. Your brain filters them out because yr not focused on them.

Some people prefer sounds that are similar to their tinnitus while others prefer sounds that are completely different. Don't feel discouraged if this sound doesn't resonate with you. There are so many different options for sound therapy for tinnitus: pink noise, crickets, rain , waterfall, ocean waves, frogs, etc. The best sound therapy is one that you find calming/relaxing.. Explore some other sounds until you find one that resonates with you. :)

There is no right or wrong sound therapy; it can be white noise, ocean waves, or any other sound that makes you feel more relaxed. The key is to choose something that helps you feel more comfortable but remember to play it at a volume where you can still hear your tinnitus.

Experiencing a temporary increase in tinnitus volume, known as a "tinnitus spike," when starting sound therapy is not uncommon. For some individuals, the spike is a normal part of the habituation process, and the heightened perception of tinnitus may decrease over time as the brain adapts to the new sound. If the increased volume is distressing or persistent, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional or audiologist for guidance on adjusting the therapy or exploring alternative approaches.

@@treblehealth i literally just saw the ENT consultant and after lots of tests on my ears (hearing test etc) and cameras looking in my nose , they all come back perfect but she highly suspects it coming from
faulty blood vessels in my brain so being sent for a brain scan with dye asap. That’s probably why I could still hear it after quite a few times. Goes to show you how important it is to get checked out properly as I’ve been putting it off thinking they would just tell me to live with it
